F1 sound ain’t there secret weapon got that pure f1 sound their price is ridiculous thou This system from Valvetronic Designs just sounds like a straight piped R8/lambo
@@esthetics4512 a company that charges 30k for exhaust and you can’t even buy it. they have made 0 production units. respectfully to them that setup is very cool but not something i think they can even create so enthusiasts like you can enjoy it
@@valvetronic Supposedly lambojesus is getting one for his STO, so that's the second system they sold. But agreed that 30k for an exhaust, even on a 300k car is ridiculous. It's not like their system is sprinkled in magic voodoo, I'm sure you guys can figure it out with some acoustic engineering. Even if it ends up making 2-3% less power than a pure equal length system, the sound would be worth it. The headers are a good start (from what I see, the 5-1 merge collector can be made a bit longer with a shallower angle, and hopefully it has the spike in the center to help smooth out the flow). Just try offsetting one of the midpipes 25% longer than the other and then even the length after the X-pipe. I don't have an R8 to play around with, but that's something I'd definitely want to try.
Unequal length headers try that as equal length headers keep the same uneven firing sound. The banks aren’t even firing to each other although they are even firing within themselves, example unequal length mid pipe design prior to the merge that way the exhaust pulses arrive at the same time and boom you’ll get the f1 tone that secret weapon achieved . When you achieve this let me know I’m obsessed with f1 sound and do own an R8 gen1 if secret weapon wasn’t shoving broomsticks into our asses with the asking price I would have had one by now
Yep, this sounds nothing like F1, just a very loud odd-fire v10. Supposedly one exhaust bank needs to be about 25% longer than the other before merging to balance the 18° firing degree offset
@@zali9657 From what I know, they end up being the most expensive in the world, one because they are extremely handcrafted, the Aventador SVJ one costs 20k dollars , an R8 should be cheaper but not much
@@Enthusiastlist Yeah that gives the F1 sound we all wish for, Still IMO this valvetronic system is one of best exhausts available for the r8. Espically considering the price and lack of avaliablity of secret weapons.
Can you do a side-by-side against other exhaust manufacturers? Hard to tell the difference between my Quicksilver Cat-Back and your guys’ full exhaust system.
@@valvetronicbecause their system sounds different than anything else in the market and is fully handcrafted out of titanium, so it kinda justifies the price can you develop a similar system for the Audi 5.2 V10 that is cheaper and has the same high frequencies? legit question, I love the work you've done for the BMW S55
5-1 Step up, step down and x pipe... I love seeing the progress guys! This is engineered for a true F1 sound.

Sounds insane
Valvetronic kills it every time
Yes! Something new to annoy my neighbors!

Love you work guys hope sometime you'll show us vanquish pipes plz

Legit sounds like the GT3 cars now.
Awesome
The 5.0 always sounded better, really cool to see you developed headers to make it sound similar to that, good stuff as always
Doesn't sound similar at all.
This will never howl like the even firing 5.0 V10 with an X pipe.
@@jortepap yh but its the closest we're gonna get unfortunately, plus i had to glaze them cause the headers make a massive difference

Sorry guys.... Im not sure whats "off" but the Secret Weapon car sounds better.. and I own an Audi R8. I will consider buying but now not sure.
That company also charges 20k+ for and exhaust with a very long lead time. Our systems are readily available for a fraction of the price

Is every exhaust you make made by 3D printer?
The r8 gt depreciating hella sadly
Can We Fit This into the 3rd Gen ViPER ?
No, completely different car
Too bad the engine has to be pulled for the headers
Really? Damn that's some labor intensive install...
