Another great video! Looks like everyone enjoyed themselves. Btw, the wagon with the white top is a Basque shepherd wagon. They’re still used by shepherds all over the west, but are now manned by Peruvian shepherds.
Another great video. The osprey or eagle catching the fish was awesome. I live in Wyoming and we too are overlanders. I have been to a number of the locations you have visited. If you are ever looking for another overlander to explore with I would welcome the chance to join you.
Guard stations are old forest camps where Wildland firefighters and foresters would be stationed all season, and basically be a quick response to fires in super remote areas before air support was really a thing. Like you said! Usually pretty interesting to visit, if you can find an intact one. There are a few in Oregon I know of.
Another lovely video. You not only go to interesting locations, you showcase them well. It seems most TH-cam travelers either overdo the drone footage or showing a tire bumping over the trail. You have a nice mix of mobile shots, other nature and camp locations. We went up that way in 2020. We didn't have our 4Runner but a Escape Hybrid. It got us many places, it just wasn't too off-roady. We need to go back where we can get farther off the interstate and into more BLM or other off road camping areas. We have done that in the Northeast and Utah, Arizona Colorado. Was epic. We bought an off road trailer and towed it out West and are currently waiting on a 2025 Trailhunter 4Runner. It should tow better and have most of the features we need without too many modifications. Enjoy traveling with your son. We have been traveling with our daughter all her life. She is now an adult and has her own SUV with a fridge and gear...
Man what a beautiful part of the country. I need to go there. Wish it weren’t so far. LOL I’m actually getting the Clam 4 sided 6’ x 6’ Hub style screened house with the wind panels this year. The Hub style tents are super easy and quick to set up and the 6 x 6 doesn’t take up much room when packed up. Plus I figure with the wind panels it can double as a changing or potty room if I dont want to put up the shower/potty/changing tent. Great to see you doing this stuff with your son. Mine is 15 now but started taking him out before he could walk. It’s now become one of our favorite things to do together and he is talking about what 4 x 4 he wants to get when he gets his license. I hope to have many more years on the trails with him, but those early years were something special that I will always hold in my heart.
@ yup. I also have the Gazelle T4 Tandem for base camping and they make screened in tents, they call them Gazebos, but their smallest is a bit too big collapsed than I would like. The next best company seems to be Clam who make a 4 sided version as opposed to the Gazelle that is 6 sided and is 6’ x 6’ open and packs down to only 52 in long. Has wind panels too you can attach. We go to Assateague Island National Seashore a lot for camping and beach driving and the horseflies sometimes can be unbearable.
I love your content, I just can't imagine being Conrad and thinking WTF with all of the B roll production footage making our trip so much longer than it should take. Keep up the good work and ignore inpatient people like me.🤣
Awesome video as usual! Did you notice the bird you captured at 7:!15 in the video? Your continued exploration, your editing and production and your commentary continue to remain among the best.
Do you miss the AT Habitat at all? I am still trying to figure out what I am going to do with my 86 Ford Ranger, I can't afford much of anything so I am attempting to build a pop-up style off the top of my metal woodrack you can see in my videos.
With your tundra what do you air down to? I have a tacoma and am about to get a bigger camper and am curious what to air down to. I usually air down to 17psi
Don't you use a gear like Thermacell to rid yourself of mosquitoes? So long as there is no breeze/wind blowing through the camp, they work effectively.
I’ve tried them a few times and never noticed a difference. I even had one between my feet one time, and when I looked down, there was a mosquito biting my ankle.
@@RevereOverland Was there any breeze blowing through your camp when you used it? In any sort of wind conditions (even just a slight one) they're practically useless. But on calm nights, I found them to work well.
The shot of the bird catching a fish was next level awesome. I really like your camp rating system.
I think it needs to be a universal system!
That osprey was fantastic. One of my favorite birds. This was a great adventure. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I was really happy to have caught that on camera!
What a beautiful area. Reminds me of the copper basin area. I really want to go back
Yeah it’s a cool area. I want to explore that whole part of the Wind River Range more.

That is cool you were able to bring your son along! Well done!
It is great having him there!

They’re pretty neat. That particular one happened to be overgrown to the point that I didn’t want to get close, but we did visit one off camera later!
Looks like fun. I love the sound of driving over gravel. Brings back many good memories of past trips.
The eagles… wow what an incredible experience! Great video!

Those new 4Runners look very capable straight from the factory! I'm sure the new engine will tow nicely too.
that fish got an amazing view of the world it was about to leave. great views as usual 👌
Thank goodness the osprey saved it from drowning!
It looks fantastic. Its my dream to do such a great adventure. That eagle with fish is insane
Loooooove the Wind Rivers!
They’re beautiful. I need to explore that whole area more.

The Gazelle style tents? I have one of those hubs, and it's fantastic for when we don't have the Tundra.

Lol! He doesn’t mind. It’s a chance for him to grab a cookie!
Great video as always! Those drone shots must take quite a bit of battery lol
Yeah I have three on constant rotation!
Nice video
Beautiful country. Looks like it's not crowded.
There were not a lot of people there this time. Last time I went through there were RVs all along the river!
Good call on the CBI build. They have done a couple of vehicles for me that are not Toyota based and great quality work. PS I live in Idaho Falls.
They did a great job on it. I also love how the front bumper fits in with the factory front end
It is amazing to me the production quality. This can easily be on PBS Wild Kingdom, if you know what I mean! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you!

I did! I wasn't sure if it was a bird or one of the enormous bugs that kept following us around that area!
Pretty smoky trip
Yeah. It got WAY worse towards the end.
ARE YOU COMING TO FLORIDA FOR THE OVERLAND EXPO?
I’m not, unfortunately. Both my vehicles will be out west until some time this summer!
@@RevereOverlandsounds like a good trip for the Rover
Güzel manzaralar. Ve çocuk daha güzel.
21:45 is Matt and Cara from Ozark Overland Adventures Channel.😮
I bet they wish they had a setup like that!
great
Watching this has completely transformed how I look at progress. It’s a reminder that growth is made by embracing the process, not rushing it.
It's so cool to see all the Gypsy wagons (campers ). Great trip! Thank you.

Yeah I’ve never seen anything like them before!
I would have loved to hear what your buddy thought about adventuring in the USA. You didn't even introduce him to us. Is he camera shy?
Not really camera shy, but not used to a camera being shoved in his face!

The Habitat was great, but I don't miss it. The AluCab is far better! I think pop-up would be the easiest to build and the simplest for camp setup.
What do you air down with? Do they only let so much psi out and then stop it?
Tire-rite. You set the PSI by screwing the top in/out.
@RevereOverland cool thank you! I love your videos keep them going!!

I usually go down around 17-18 on roads like this. If I’m doing something technical then it’ll be lower
that baby is going to be in for a lot of disappointment once he starts school. No more constant adventures haha
I think I’ll be even more disappointed!
Osprey shot 😳😳😳
It came out pretty good!

Does the wifey not come on these trips anymore? I notice it's just you and your boy mostly.
Not often. She has a new job that doesn't work well for travel.
