For recharging I would suggest a retractable shaft, mounted kinda in the middle l, maybe where the legs meet the abdomen. It would link up with a charger mounted to a bench. The rod would insert itself into the charger When extended.. You know if it had magnets and a coil and it quickly inserted and removed itself, it may make its own power… it would need some kind of lube obviously, but I’m sure that could be figured out. At the end of the “charge cycle” the robot could share some information about itself with the charger, so it knows it’s done. Obviously the charger would be ready to go again immediately, but I think the robot could only charge itself once every 30-45 min…. Just a thought.
To improve on this idea further, build in a hand crank generator that can be used when away from the charger. You may need to get on your knees in front of it to maintain the proper cranking velocity however.
I think I did see the charging dongle on that first workable prototype however it was in the standby position. Looked like it could take quite a few amps too, comparing it to the Tesla car charging cable.
