The dynamics of Open vs Open, Open vs Closed, Closed vs Open, and Closed vs Closed is pretty much why a fighting game with only 3 buttons can still be so difficult. Now imagine the Open/Close mechanics + Tekken's limb based button system. You'd have to flip your buttons depending on which limb is closer to your opponent.
1:50 Not just the Bound system, Tekken took basically all their addative systems over the years from VF lol (aside from wall bounce in 7 and Heat in 8). Heck, they even took the treasure battle system from VF. Not that it’s a bad thing to take good ideas, and Harada would be the first to say they took systems from VF because VF was the trailblazer they were chasing.
You’re a beast at this game. My first foray into this was Virtua Fighter 2. I’ve played the series ever since. This and DOA (especially 5). I’m good, but you got it down to a science. Jacky is my main. It was Lion at first. I’m rambling. Have a great day. God bless and Jesus loves you.
Great vid, any chance of a basics video please? Haven't played Virtual Fighter since VF2 on the PC, and super excited to be able to play the VF5 Revo soon.
What leverless controller are you utilizing? I bought a Qanba Obsidian but I still can't get the hang and feel that I do better on pad with shortcuts. 👀
I'm a Tekken player but I'm actually hyped for this too looks like a solid game last vf i played was 4

Yeah that’d be way too hard
That'll be cool

Thanks for this series of videos.
Hope to play VF more seriously this go around. Just need to find a character 🤔
Argh, Sega release REVO already 😆

Great information 👍 👌 ❤
They will master VF if there's incentive like tournament prizes. Or maybe if Harada ruins TK completely in the next season.

Did you hear Fujin is now average? Are you going to over that in a new video?
Yes I am! This weekend once my new green screen shows up
