I've just bought a iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB here in Australia and had the phone for less than 12 hours, I can confirm that a slight noise from the camera while using the default Apple Camera App. Otherwise it's a great phone. I have had a in-depth chat with Apple Support have Apple Care Plus, and they've confirmed with me that Apple is Aware of this issue and to continue using the camera as normal. Apple Support was helpful and mentioned that their engineers are working on a software update to solve this asap. Apple Support have mentioned to me that no damage will be sustained to the device if I continue to use it prior to this software update. I stress these soft noises are coming from the Apple’s Camera App, not just only Third Party Apps. I hope this gets fixed asap via a the planned software update, as here in Australia there are literally no iPhone 14 Pro Max here, especially 1TB Specification , till maybe November. It is disappointing, especially because it’s classed a premium device, but otherwise I’ve do really like the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
C'mon Apple! 3rd parties needing to adapt AFTER new version release is ridiculous! In a normal world new hardware SDK's are released to 3rd party software vendors way earlier than the new hardware hits the ground! Apple screw this up big time - moreover if this issue is so common, how apple QA can be trusted? I mean they should have seen this issue while testing the MOST COMMON apps their users use the camera with! And the solution proposed by Apple - don't use 3rd party apps until we fix this shit, because it can damage your phone - is a total misunderstanding of roles in this game.
