OMG!! Wonderama!!! I believe the hosts name is Bob McCallister. I probably saw watched this episode with Roger Daltrey when it originally aired. Great stuff-I love Roger Daltrey!
That was a very popular Saturday morning kids show called Wonderama produced in New York City. The host was Bob McAllister, doing his best to straddle two worlds. There was a studio audience of kids from 7 to 10 years old although that segment seems to have left them out. I remember seeing that when it was broadcast, thanks for posting.
This was a weekend kid's show. I remember watching this in '75. The show was called Wonderama and the host was Bob McCallister. When i was 8, I was totally digging seeing Roger on this show! I actually was like really Wonderama? Wtf? Lol
I'm probably in a minority, but I don't think the host was gay or an idiot, just not into rock music and possibly a little out of his depth. Thanks for posting *Rachel Carter* ; always nice to see some of Roger in his prime!
he still does the microphone thing beautifully, i swear he nearly knocked out simon townsend though! "whatever you do you'll have fun trying" awesome, definatly wanna pursue musical career
After 'Tommy ' & 'Lisztomania' Roger could be a true British Pop star and as -lead vocalist of the Who could make -films that audiences could enjoy in the -crazy exhilarating seventies.
Too bad you didn't include the clip where the host asks Roger to dinner :) "I looOOOooove your blue eyes Roger!" The host had better luck with his next guest, Elton John.
i was wondering that myself. weird show. looked like it was done at some local tv studio. maybe it was just roger the interviewer and the cameraman. the interviewer didnt sound like he was a fan. but he did seem to be like a good sport. :)

He was 110% perfect! And still is awesome in his 70's!
One of the best voices in music and he was pretty. Stevie was worth every dime he charged and more!
Such a nice bloke, so nice & grounded. Great man
I love to watch him twirling the mic
Roger is in amazing form now.
Creepy... But can you blame the man?? Hahaha Roger's gorgeous!!!

the host was a gay idiot.
Roger played along like a champ instead of calling the host out or being disrespectful, which I really like too
He just got it all! I
yah i don't blame him but it is a little creepy that the guy is like hitting on him

@Ari721 Roger Daltrey is the best. The perfect man and my secret love
I love that how when the "young blue eyes" bit starts up here, Roger raises an eyebrow like, "Say it again, arsehole."
.... hit him. Seriously.
ya it is kinda hard to imagine roger just being alone with him in some small local tv station.
Can they make microphone-twirling an Olympic event? Roger would totally pwn everyone.
how is no one dying of excitement? I would have screamed, had a heart attack and died
I totally agree and never saw this before!
This is our Roger when he was clearly in his early-Willie Ames stage, when 8 was enough, to fill our house with love…
Too bad you didn't include the clip where the host asks Roger to dinner :)

God that interviewer is creepy. And Roger is just... I dunno.... AWESOME!
Host Bob McCallister.....is the original Fred Willard.
Is there no audience? I heard like 1 person clapping at the end.
back then they didn't have many "bad" bands to listen to as opposed to music today
lucky ducks

they probably didn't have a real studio audience, it was some schmuck from the production crew trying to create an illusion
@edwardszzz i know! i swear everytime i see/think of him i need new pants!!!
somehow i see a resemblence with jared leto
haha, yeah, that would be awkward
What a weird interviewer
i know what ya mean.
That host is a lameo
