My first thought: That Rise will be a massive heat island given the amount of concrete needed to build it. Residents wouldn't likely spend much time out in the open, e.g., verandas and green spaces, even at night when the concrete releases heat back to the air.
For the reported amount of money each unit will cost, one can buy several hectares of elevated land, with secondary forest and flowing creeks to boot, here where I live and build a dream house. That'll be an oasis of green and tranquility with a view of a bay hemmed in by mountains.
It's a choice between status or living close to nature. Each to his or her own.

It is not imposible to built. The firm where i worked before in 1978, have completed this kind of project. This technology has been around, building on slope….with inclined elevators.

@@MsHobbies87 Yes, he endorsed Urban Deca with its High Rise Residential Building as a celebrity but he is not part of the team. Maybe choosing a bad contractor and limiting the budget could go wrong but I doubt Monterazas will cut its expenses knowing its minimum price for 2 bedroom flat is not just 6M-13M but 48M. Imagine paying 48M but you have water leaks. It could lead the buyer/owner sue its developer and that includes Mr Young and their businesses reputation fell apart! I highly do not agree with this project but part of architecture is on how to play along with nature.

Most Arch/Engrs started as a draftsmen, and that’s your stepping stones. I was a draftsman back in ‘84, learns and gathered experience after a couple of years. After 45 years retired as an Arch/Engr & licensed GC in California.
everyone can draft, yung civil engineering kasi more on computations sa loadings yan kung safe ba sa bagyo at lindol, pati nadin studies sa lupa kailangan. Tapos considering in civil engineering is the critical part is the detailing sa plans para mag match sa computed designs tapos sa construction pa bantay lahat buhos at placement nang rebars at steel materials

For my own opinion im not into modifying natural resources for my personal projects. Im considering the future impact when altering our natural resources.

Napakaganda pero Concept only for the rich, after 10-50years gano kadaming tao ang makikinibang? Why not irestore nalang ang mga forest gamit ang knowledge sa engineering kahit upto 100years makikinabang ang mga susunod na henerasyon.

If the architect can dream it, he knows it can be built. The question is, will the engineer take the challenge?
Building in this type of terrain has a massive undertakings. And it would be slap in the face if every professional in this project doesn't know what they are doing. I would assume they hired experts for the studies that would help them design the structure's safety and the environment. Like if the area is prone to landslide or earthquake, they should have data that will assure the area is buildable or not.
For me, the important thing is we professionals should study meticulously every angle of the project. Before and after. And to be really sensitive of our environment.

Matibay yan, e paano hindi titibay halos tibagin ang bundok. Hindi naman issue tibay dito kahit na manmade ang bundok pwede ang issue dito yun environment i. Impact. Iba kasi ang perception ng engineers and architects Engineers concern ay tibay ang Architect yun over all impact.
This is a promising project yet a lot to consider. Moreover, it is an advance engineering.
