Wow, the food industry is really killing us...😢
Big phood and big pharma
They kill more people than the military industrial complex.
The biggest shareholder in 2020 of both McDonald's and Pfizer was ....... Blackrock.
Where killing ourselves?
Always remember... "they" want 500 million people for the world population. No more. So what do they do when the current population is over 8 Billion?
Sharing Dr Berg notes:
Today, we’re going to talk about the carbohydrate that’s more dangerous than sugar: maltodextrin.
Of all the ultra-processed food ingredients, I consider this one the worst.
Maltodextrin is GMO, refined, and highly processed. It can lead to belly fat, diabetes, and gut inflammation, yet it’s considered safe.
Even though maltodextrin is not a sugar and it’s not sweet, it behaves like sugar in the body. It’s also higher than sugar on the glycemic index.
Maltodextrin is an ingredient in many different products, from chips to seasonings, supplements, and infant formulas. It’s even in certain drinks like light beer, energy drinks, and sports drinks.
Because it’s not classified as a sugar, maltodextrin can also be added to sugar-free products even though it behaves like a sugar.
Maltodextrin is a filler ingredient, and there are loopholes that companies can use to legally add it to their products.
Other names for maltodextrin are dextrin, modified food starch, glucose syrup, corn starch, food starch, and corn syrup.
It’s crucial to start reading the ingredients in your products to avoid dangerous ingredients like maltodextrin.
Thank you Dr Berg!!👍
thats why Beer is bad... full of maltodextrin..hence the belly

Does Maltodextrin caused Liver damage?
I have cut out all processed foods, stuff with added sugar, flour, it’s changed my life!!! I went from a food addict with no hope to I feel like I have total control over what I eat. Weight is coming off at a decent rate too. I’m also feeling well enough to exercise again.
Didn’t you know all this before? Unbelievable. Don’t congratulate yourself for doing the obvious. Have you been living on Mars?
I moved to SE Asia three years ago. It’s almost like my body went through this processed food withdrawal. Once over, I crave non-processed food. My diet consists of fresh fish, pork (not mass raised and shot up with chemicals), chicken (same as pork), rice and garden grown veggies and fruits. I’m 54 and have lost 30lbs by diet alone. I’m now working out again and feel great. Oh yeah…I do have some alcohol too 😅
Same as other comments- feel great and im just on 80 years- just eat real food and far less of it,nothing in a package.

I just read the ingredients on my probios and Maltodextrin is in there!
Very important: this ingredient is heavily used in Shredded cheese. Use block cheese and grate it yourself. It actually tastes better and is cheaper. I've also noticed it popping up in bacon for no reason, so keep an eye on that as well.
You try grating cheeses like Cheddar.
So True!
@@SunnySummer777 I tried it a few times using a manual grater, but gave up, as it just clogged the holes. How they grate it in the factory, I've no idea.
If only 0.5 grams of maltodextrin is added to the food, then since it is such a low quantity the glycemic index doesn't matter at all. The rise in blood sugar level (glycemic load) due to just point 0.5 grams of Maltodextrin will be negligible.

The US food industry is killing us. One of my past coworkers worked overseas. He was in South America for about 3 years. He shopped at small farmers' markets and ate fresh foods. He reported feeling so good but didn't connect it to diet until he returned to the US. After returning, he was sick. His digestive system was messed up. He thought it was something he caught while out of the country. He finally went to an internal specialist, and they explained that while out of the country and not eating process food, his body went through a cleanse. All the toxins and inflammations were gone. Thank you for educating us.

It's true, look at how slender and healthy all those South Americans are... 🙄

It is seriously hard to find a proper diet without spending hours researching every food that I consume. I gave up sugar a decade ago and then flour... now I find out that most of the sugar-free foods and drinks that I've been consuming have maltodextrin which is even worse.
I freakin' give up!
I've been eating mostly meat and less than 80 carbs a day for the past 10 months, which has helped me to lose 40+ pounds, but lately, I've gained back about 10 lbs. I have cheated with a few taboo foods, in the spirit of the holidays. Then I'll resume my commitment to healthy eating again.
But thanks for the info. I can always trust you and your advice to keep me on the right track!

This is crazy because I could not get past my plateau of 130 lbs (my goal is 125) and the only additive i have is ONE teaspoon of this Stevia blend in my coffee every morning. @@euhdink4501 thank you for the tip, I will definitely look into that!!
@@bluebirdgramma6317 wow! That's amazing! How do you process it into a sweetener?
The fact that the FDA allows this all over the place speaks volumes, to concerns of population health, and where the focus is on those organizations meant to protect the people’s health.
I found out how toxic this stuff was. By NOT eating it. It is absolutely harming people.
I cried about all the suffering in my family BECAUSE of these chemicals.
You mean the F$A?
Yep, the FDA does not care about our health. It's so crazy that people spent the whole year or 2021 lining up for corporate profit to be injected straight into their veins
My father, an old school country man, told me decades ago that the FDA is bought and sold and allows poisons in our foods.
Profits over people = the American way 😉
I think my parents used maltodextrine as a sweetener in my brothers baby formula back in the 50’s. I think they were told to do that and he got very plump as a baby and he has always been heavy. I have a feeling that was not the right thing to do. My mom should have breastfed her children but she was convinced by her mother that it was disgusting. She convinced me to bottle feed formula to my first born who struggles with weight and I breastfed my next child and he was filled out well as a baby but not fat and he was healthy while I was feeding him but when I weaned him at a year he started getting sick with every virus and cold that came along. He has always been normal body weight. I know now that the formula was a bad idea. But breastfeeding does take a lot of time. Many moms can’t do it but putting sweeteners in the formulas was very bad.

I've been telling people maltodextrone is like another word for gluten-sugars for the past decade. This is so much more detailed than what I had learnt, thank you 😊
I used to consume a lot of that via the main supermarkets chicken stock. I would have it straight as a soup with bread. It tasted delicious and I used to have 2 mugs at a time. There's a whole list of things that we (big food corporations) put in our food that are illegal in Europe and Australia which says A LOT. Thank you for sharing this Dr. Berg
Good point. Here in Australia they haven't listed Meltodextrin on any of the food packaging that I can see. These big companies are as bad as the cigarette companies were many years ago.
Here in the US we believe in profits over people. It's sickening (literally and figuratively).
After 20 years abroad, most of that in the US, i returned to my native Romania and i must tell you that the food here is just as bad as in the US. They dont even have to list all the ingredients and a lot of products say “ made in the EU” but you would never know where .

It would be diabolically criminal for manufacturers to inaccurately label their products…
But all the huge food conglomerates ARE criminals (organized crime cartel). They never have our best interests in mind, just theirs (& whatever marketing spin they need to sell it to you).
It IS "diabolically criminal" because the BIG AG Companies making these "non-food products" ARE DECEPTIVELY & FRAUDULENTLY LABELING the "food" as "safe" when they CERTIFIABLY KNOW that certain "ingredients" are NOT "safe."
Furthermore, BIG AG & BIG PHARMA are "in bed" together mutually causing serious harm to millions of people.
This is true but It's actually happening that they are committing this Crime and no one is doing anything about it

Maltodextrin almost killed me. I thought i was super healthy, because i was excersising 4 times a week, eating healthy, but i was also drinking a lot of recovery drinks that were half malto and half whey protein. Did this for years and then got a blood clot in lungs, that almost killed me. I was 30. Doctors have no idea what caused it, but i think those drinks just ruined my health. 5 years later still have a lot of health issues, but a lot better thanks to dr. Berg
Horrible stuff. Glad you did not persist
There is no scientific evidence to suggest that an excess of maltodextrin can cause blood clots. In fact, some studies have shown that maltodextrin may actually help to prevent blood clots! Maltodextrine used whilst doing sports is usually the first ingredient burned by the body. ; it won’t sit there around. In any case, I t’s wrong to continuously use supplements (with or without maldodextrine) during every sports session! Maltodextrine does destroy your teeth though! If you train 4 times per week, you should use supplements maybe once per week, during the toughest session. Drink water!

I used to work temporarily for a company that produced modified food starch out of potato starch, which they collect from the garbage water they get from washing potatoes at a potato plant I also worked for. It is insane. It is in literally everything. If you aren't cooking just fresh raw ingredients at home, good luck avoiding it because it is used as a preservative as well. They bleach tf out of it and then strain it over super high heat to remove all the other poison. I didn't stay long enough to observe the entire process but it is maddening that we allow this to exist. The amount of protection you have to wear to produce something they feed the masses is crazy. Ever wonder why everyone has cancer? I don't anymore.
I must say, I use the word "remove" very lightly. If they didn't do this you would die from consuming it one time.
When will there be a class action suit against our food industry?
Malto can be a filler but when I was in the supplement industry, it was primarily used as a flow agent for the manufacturing process. Think flour vs sugar. Flour will not flow smoothly down a chute without help but sugar will. Maltodextrin will make a sticky, clumpy product flow like water, avoiding the very expensive process of granulation before blending. Anything that is made in a factory probably has it. I think it also helps with compression but I could be wrong on that.
Always good to hear the story behind why something is used. Appreciated.

Most of the alternative sweeteners in liquid form don't have any MALTODEXTRIN AND DEXTROSE,which is another bad ingredient high in the glycemic index. Liquid form will save the day. IT DID FOR ME ABOUT 4MONTHS ago, when I found out this information and switched to the liquid form of my sweetner. Thanks again as always to Dr Berg.
@@guillermoviera6970 could you please give a name of a liquid form you are using ?
@@bfofana did you get my response back?
@@guillermoviera6970 no it didn’t come through I guess
Even in the "stevia"???
Wonder what type/ brand you're using ..hmm
Eternally grateful for you Dr Berg. My mother has already resigned to the fact that you are a big presence in our lives, I talk about you all the time . Thank you immensely ❤❤
My pleasure! Glad you found my videos helpful!
I talk to everyone that I can about Dr Berg as well. He literally saved my life and I can't keep it to myself. I've lost 93 pounds in 7 months and I feel great, have lost all my cravings and most importantly I'm never really hungry. Dr Berg said it would happen and I had my serious doubts, but IT WAS ABSOLUTELY TRUE! DR BERG WAS RIGHT! HE IS MY LIVING HERO...💥
Maltodextrin is the #1 ingredient used in energy mixes for cyclists. It gives me so much energy.

These food companies are truly evil.
Very valuable information sir
I can't thank you enough, @srivanidharbhashayanam7531!
This is such an important video. It explains so many problems in health today.
I absolutely love scrolling down and reading all the comments from all the people whose lives you have helped to improve, Dr. Berg. Can't say I have ever seen a negative comment - thank you for sharing your wisdom and helping so many thousands of people improve their health. 😊
Why did he withhold this info for all these years?
What other simple revelation will we see years from now that could have been divulged today?
Thx for the info.
Yes, there are a host of ignorant sheep on this site who want others to do their learning and work for them.
❤ Agreed!
@@tristanwwsd I read at least a year ago when he mentioned the dangers of this. I started reading labels after that to try and avoid it. He probably mentioned it from time to time before that as well which would be sensible because new viewers would be coming on stream all the time.
Good info. 👍
I'm so grateful.
@Drberg We missed you when you were in Clearwater in March. Next time you come, we will be sure to see you. Keep up the good work! 👍
Love it doc.many thanks
Thanks for watching!
Same day I saw this, I read the ingredients on Reese's "ZERO SUGAR" peanut butter cups. Fine print on the front says "Not a Low Calorie Food". Includes Maltitol (aka sugar alcohol), polydextrose (made from glucose) and other assorted chemicals. Also says "0g Total Sugars". Yum.
Seems like Reese's 'ZERO SUGAR' peanut butter cups aren't as guilt-free as they claim. Disappointing!
Maltitol and polydextrose have a signficantly lower GI than sugar or maltodextrin though. They're actually fine since they mostly don't get digested thus don't enter the blood as glucose-I'll take those peanut butter cups over classic ones any day.
Thank you so much, Dr Berg! Your detail is appreciated. I just wanted to mention that over the years, I’ve come to notice that many foods labels that I’ve read were initially free of these sugar substitutes, are now showing up in products. So, constantly reading the labels is imperative.
Your videos just pure health.
I wish schools had whole subject about healthy food.
Great video😍 Thank you very much!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!
So happy to see your videos popping up on YT and all the new information. Thank you !
You totally Rock Eric. Thank goodness you are digging this up for us.
Thanks doctor, honestly wouldn’t have known this without your videos.
I feel disillusioned that the food industry is so sneaky but not surprised.
Great doctor you are mr.Berg...God bless you for your love to humanity
Please keep videos like these coming. Thank you for your research and educating us! 😊
Thank you for all this relevant information, Dr Berg. Your educational content and continuous support for our health are always appreciated 🙏🏻

Dr Berg, you have helped me navigate a better healthy diet. I'm down 23 lbs and feel healthier every day. Do I slip occasionally, yes, but I now feel it and feel better when I get back on track by listening to you and your great advice. Please keep the info coming! Can you do a video on best work outs to help encourage healthy weight loss in coordination with healthy diet? What's better, cardio, lifting, functional strength training or something else?
I have learnt something new. Thank you!
That's great! I'm truly glad you were able to learn so much.
Thank you Dr Berg. I get severe headaches and anxiety after eating it. For a decade, no doctor has diagnosed my migraines and nerve pain for food poisoning aka modern wheat, food additives(msg), sugar etc.. I have constantly suffered until I started to cut down and cut completely of these poisons. The medical doctors are corrupt in terms of really helping patients live a long and healthy life
Do you still get headaches now that you cut these ingredients out of your diet?
@@ML-bf8gl very mild nowadays since I cut down sugar, wheat, msg and the Es (EU standard for food additives). I get mild ones because of my occasional overeating habits due to work stress. The headaches quickly go away after I fast for 3 days with two small meals a day.
The Headache s are real
Headaches are a sign of Magnesium deficiency. Watch Dr.Berg's video on that topic
@@Ninah12345 thanks. Headaches come in different forms. Each form indicates different lacks or overloads of nutrients or poisons in the body and mind.
I check labels diligently. I almost always see malto. Thanks for brealing this down. I hope its not in my protein powder, supplements or seasonings. Im about to recheck everything. Thx Doc, we appreciate you.
Wow thank you doctor burge you wisdom and knoledge is appreciated
Thank you for your kind and positive comment.
This will never change!
Thank you Dr. Berg for doing the extra tests on your own products!
OMG. I drank maltodextrin in Starbucks light for years and developed a horrible case of celiac at age 60! Just about the time I almost died from this before the doctors figured out what I had, this product disappeared from the shelves. Now I am left with this horrifying disease and a pacemaker. I went from healthy to deathly ill and now debilitated.
I am so sorry, Ronni 🩷🙏🩷 They really are trying to kill us from all directions 💔 God bless you 🩷
When there is breath, there is hope. Stay healthy and vigilant on what we eat. ❤ God bless
try fasting. I had similar issues took me 3-4 years but Im better than before. Fasting was the main thing that helped ( not intermittent long ones)
@@thegalhorowitz I tried it for one week. I did the 16:8 one. Starting 8PM no more food then the next meal is 12PM the next day. On the 8 hours window time I only eat plant-based diet, and the results? I had more energy, less cravings, and feel good. The body adapts effectively. I haven’t continued the fasting but so far I am very vigilant on what I eat. It is even contagious, my mother is cooking vegetables every lunch and fruits as our dessert. ♥️🙏
Maltodextrin really messed up my gut, so I avoid at all cost. Thank you for sharing this information!
Upvote, bloat, pain etc. Never eat it.
After a 5k I ran the other day, they passed out samples of a “healthy” instant latte. When I read that it had maltodextrin, I thought I shouldn’t drink it but I did anyways. I felt like I had a hangover. Now that I know just how bad it really is, I will definitely steer clear of it. Thank you!👍
I knew it was maltodextrin begore he even said it. I'm glad I was right.
Thank you, Dr. Berg. Happy health to everyone.
Oh wow, this was so informative. I see maltodextrin is in so many foods. I don’t even bother reading labels as much as I used to anymore. Dressings, soups, smoothies, bread, etc - they are all easy to make myself and there’s just no real reason to buy this processed garbage out of a box or a can.
Im so happy i found your Dr.Berg years ago, you never disappoint and i always learn to things about my health and the food i eat!
Excellent video brother!
The food industry is guilty of crimes against humanity and Mother Earth.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Peace love and blessings!
