I have a deep affection for Toronto. Originally from Rio, I've called Toronto home for five years now. There are countless activities to enjoy here, and I've had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people. Thank you, Canadians, for your kindness. ♥️
Im sooooooo glad I subscribed! As a Finnish person there has always been something about Canada that intrigued me, but now seeing it more from you in TH-cam, I REALLY want to visit!
There is a small park in downtown Toronto called Jean Sibelius Square Park, named after the Finnish composer. He visited the city in the 1950s. Most people here don't know who he is though. P.S. I forgot until someone else mentioned that the (newer) City Hall was designed by a Finnish architect, Viljo Revell.
Gotta do GRAFFITI ALLEY! It’s a great city for tourism. You showed downtown but didn’t go in the Eaton Centre, Hockey Hall of Fame, CNE, or up to Yorkville for the posh boutiques and restaurants. There’s Kew (or Woodbine)beach in the east end + Sunnyside & Cherry beach, High Park, Centre Island with amusement rides, beaches and picnic park areas, just outside the north end there’s Canada’s Wonderland, the beauty of Union Station I could go on & on there are so many unique places and things to see and do I don’t understand why you’d say it’s not a good tourist destination.
I was surprised at first to hear "Toronto" pronounced correctly, which I've never heard in any travel video --- then you revealed that you were born in Mississauga.
The tourists would be doing exactly what you're both are doing, enjoying the sights and sounds of Toronto. You have your pick of hundreds of restaurants around Toronto with cuisine from around the world. I am a Torontorian myself born and raised in the east end of Toronto spent my early childhood in Regent Park and then my adult years in the west end of Toronto in Etobicoke. 😊
YES!!!!!!! so excited for your upcoming Canada vlogs especially the east coast. Drive along the Cabot trail in Cape Breton Nova Scotia guys! yes unfortunately lots of sketchy activities going on in Toronto especially on TTC.
Great memories for me. Private High school in Toronto for Grade 12 & 13, then to Guelph university. From my apartment at Wellesley St, l could see the CNTower. I remember going to Central island twice with my friends & Ontario place.
I would be really interested seeing Arctic Canada in the winter. I assume it is somewhat similar to Lapland of Finland but no one talks about Arctic Canada
Interesting Toronto places... Casaloma, Aquarium, shark feeding restaurant, Urban exploring(Gargantua), The Path(probably the longest mall in Canada), Lake cruise, Do a public speech in a local university to encourage young people to explore the world before they get too old.
I can tell you, a lot of tourists like to shop. So shopping in Toronto is another thing to talk about. Yorkdale Mall, the new The Well, Distillery district, Eaton Center all good places for shopping.
@@JetLagWarriors must try: Xiang Zi Hot Pot in Markham. Dragon Legend Buffet in Markham Sushi legend AYCE in Scarborough The Perfect Restaurant in Scarborough for Dim Sum. I laughed right at the beginning @ 00:05 where you say you're from Mississauga and point east and then say your wife is from Scarborough and you point west! lol
I visited the new city hall site with my parents when there was nothing there but a sign that read: "Site of the New Toronto City Hall & Civic Square. Design of Viljo Revel Selected in World Wide Competition". Transcribed from a photograph that I have of me standing in front of the sign with my mother. Viljo Revel was a Finn.
You guys should visit the Rom AGO Grange House Campbell house McKenzie house center island Ontario place just to name a few places.. how is the renovation on your truck van coming along ? Will there be any videos on it?

My wife and I went to Toronto soon after we met in 2008. Also saw the Niagara falls and went to a baseball game for the first (and only so far) time. Really liked the city. We stayed with relatives in Oakville and also visited Mississauga. We are looking forward to going back some time now that our daughter is old enough to go with us. By the way did you know that the new city hall was designed by a Finn called Viljo Revell? Greeting from Finland 👋
A friend told me that when visiting Toronto to get the CityPass to see the 5 top things Maybe you should of invested in this package? Why didn;t you show Ripleys Aquarium it was across from Whistlers? Looking forward to your East coast adventures
As a Dane, I can only say that I really like Toronto. The multicultural scene is really good, with some fantastic food. The Chinese/Vietnamese part of the city is amazing to eat at. Other than my angry ex-girlfriend from Brampton, I can not think of anything I dislike about Toronto 🙂
Toronto , whats was my ice hockey idol when I was in seven yers old , whats is name , I dont remember from Toronto, sorry .Wayne Gretsky and many others idols. I remember. But via Montreal we flight from LAX ,Montreal, Helsinki
Gosh, Canadians are so self-deprecating. That said, it's normal for people to be underwhelmed by where they live as they see it every day. Likewise, beyond one's shores seems exotic. Toronto doesn't have globally famous things like the Louvre or Copacabana but there's still a ton of stuff to see, try, and enjoy: one of the best food scenes in the world, the Distillery, AGO, and Kensington. Things Toronto has that are hard to find elsewhere: Centre Island, the ravines, Scarborough Bluffs. Leslie Spit. A little further: Nagara Falls, wine country, etc.
The real soul of Toronto is in the ethnic neighborhoods, little Italy, Danforth, Richmond Hill, and dare I say Pacific Mall ? LOL , nah, go outside of Toronto to see the small towns or the Algonquin.
Been going to TO , for a 3 day stay, once a year, for the past 12 yrs. However, I`ve notice the city, been the greatest city, to a shit hole city in the last 4 yrs. What happened? O, ya, gun crime, stabbings, car jackins, home vasions, New mayor, Chow, changing the name of young and dundas square, really!! Homeless encampments, and on and on. Tourists beware.
Tourists don't know the reality 😧😧😧😨😨😨😬😬😬☠☠☠💀💀💀... Don't get me wrong..Toronto is fun... yep it's a fun place to enjoy, there's alot of things to do and to see specialy when you are in vacation in summer time of corse!!!! if only the prices werent so atrocious that those of us born here could afford to stay
Turtle Island is what First Nations’ people call the American continent floating on the earth, so that’s what the symbol in the circle refers to.
You captured the downtown well guys. We really enjoyed Little Canada. Keep safe, healthy and happy.
Thanks for the shout out. Glad you enjoyed it

You did a good job in avoiding all the unhoused people, panhandlers, and tent encampments all over downtown Toronto. Well done!
homeless
@@torink8229 To save face, the new terminology in Canada for "homeless" is "unhoused"! 🙄
