I know we’ve all seen it before but I like watching when you put the plastics and graphics on. It’s the biggest cosmetic change and it feels like it seals the deal on the transformation.

The way I do the spray paint grips is I spray it into the grips so you don’t get any on other cockpit parts

Do you buy the remodeled plastics for the bikes original year or the newest year model of plastics? example; 2003 rm125 with 2003 remodeled plastics or 2003 rm 125 with 2021 rm 125 plastics?

Hey Matt! A little tip for your pipes for the next time is, to put water in them and freez them over the night so the little dents get fixed! Hope it works for you and love the content!

When you put your grips on use an air compressor and whatever glue or product you use
Electric tape and gasoline works much better than anything out there, been doing it for years

@@bakerproductions9241 you put it round the handle bars so when the grip is on it doesn’t move
@@bakerproductions9241 just look it up on TH-cam real quick, I can guarantee after trying it you will never do anything to put grips on again. You just wrap the bar with electric tape, fill the grip with gas. Dump it out then put the grip on ASAP, it slips right on and makes an adhesive to the tape within seconds. I don’t even have to use wire on my grips after doing it either

Use hairspray to put your grips on. Once it drys your grips are going no where.
Hey Matt, I got this 1996 cr250 for a really good deal that I am planning on flipping, I was just wondering your opinion on whether an all oem style or a restyle would sell for more?
OEM, that bike is a classic
In this case, OEM style. For the newer (01-07) I think the restyle is the way to go!

Another alternative to clear paint for sliding on new grips is hair spray. Works the same and the glue in the hair spray can be heated up in future making for easy removal. Clear paint might mean having to cut grips
from watching your videos, you really have inspired me to start flipping bikes, i picked up a 09 crf80 yesterday, its small and doesnt have a great resale but i had to start somewhere. Sick bike though! i definetly want to do an rm125, but my favorite one probably has to be your yz125, i loved the look of oem graphics and works pipe

Dude, why don't you ever clean up the power valve? Don't you know that that thing gets coked up with carbon like horribly bad.... Any 2-stroke mechanic worth his salt knows that why do you not know that?
I sold my old bike a couple weeks ago to get a new one and I haven’t even ridden in 3 years then I got my new bike and I went for a ride the day after I got it and it blew up and it’s a yz 125

Did you take off the swing arm and check/grease or replace those bearings? what about the front end removing the forks and taking off triple clamp?

I have a 2003 rm250 just put the polisport restyle kit on it like this 125 but where did you find that graphic kit
I usually buy a bike that has been "restored" only to find out later it is a pile of shit and get to do it properly myself and end up using twice the money. I would buy Matts bikes though👍 I think I should buy the cheapest peace of shit and just do a full resto myself in the future.

Hairspray works wonders for grips so go down really good slip and walk they'll stay in his place old school trick I am twice your age that's always old boys did it

get a splash of petrol on the grips and slide em on quick. the petrol evaporates and they lock on perfect

Spray the clear coat inside the grip before sliding on as well and you literally have zero effort to slide it on. Been doing it that way for years.

i dont like the frames paint job it looks like it was done by a 12 year old sorry but man this is the way to flip em for sure
hair spray works great because you slip the grips on and it sticks because its hairspray
Shooting air into the grip as you slip it on the bars let’s the grip on and hold in seconds
When putting on grips I put a handful of zip ties in the grip. The plastic slides on the metal bar a lot easier then just pull each zip tie out one at a time
I've done that before, it works great!
Shoulda just ordered a guts seat cover they are not priced that bad at all and you get to do colors you want

My brother raced on a 04 rm125 it was a factory Suzuki race bike my dad got in a trade and my brother loved that bike. Whooped on 250s no problem.

to do the grips i use a air compressor its the best and easiest way i found

i spray painted my wheels they are good, no paint coming off

If the opportunity ever comes up I will, unfortunately 4 strokes are tough to flip because they are expensive to fix and the resale value is not as high!
Remember kids: powdercoating will weaken materials. Powdercoating things such as a frame or a pair of rims is not only unnecessary but also potentially harmful. With quality spraypaint (2k) or a paint gun you are able to get the results you want without compromising safety or your wallet.
