    I had one absolutely refuse to let go of the hamster wheel... Hammer, wd-40, then a torch to finally get it to let go lol..

      You know it’s bad when the heat comes out 😅

    Always fun. Our old Goodman heat pumps( 1999) have a damn recessed Allen head set screw. One blade has a little cutaway and have to use a long Allen to tighten.

    Wish I would have seen your video a month ago :(. I replaced the motor and then my wheel was spinning off balance and scraping the housing walls. I assumed I broke the wheel somehow so I paid $150 for a new one. When I pulled everything out to replace the wheel, I noticed that the harness was crooked on the motor. That was probably the problem the entire time, but I already bought the wheel so I replaced it.

      Least you got a new wheel out of it 😂 ya just got to make sure the bracket is square and you’ll be good to go!!

    Drop cloth for the driveway

  • @jerrylockhart3069
    @jerrylockhart3069 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Cool. I like to put a drop cloth down so it doesn’t monkey up anything on the bottom especially the customers driveway. Especially if the unlikely event you have to use some WD-40 or rust buster.

      Absolutely! Good thinking. I’ll usually do it on the back of the truck. I’ve experienced when the customer notices a scratch on their pavers! Appreciate that 🤙🏻

      That’s the way I do it to. Sometimes the wheel puller as well . Drill, locking pliers or socket on puller . Just did a good man and a carrier yesterday. We’ve been having a lot of motor problems especially with the carriers and the Lennox . Even with decent static pressure. Used to be all the rheems A few years back

      @KoolinwithKrauss  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are the 2 we seem to deal with a lot around my way. Carriers more on my end to but Goodman makes it pretty easy. But the older tranes and rheems when the boards are on the housing and people just run wires any which way 🤦🏼‍♂️ lol

      😍😎 I have a eight system maintenance tomorrow residential no doubt there’s gonna be a couple of coils or motor soon. I go there every three months. It’s been pretty quiet but it’s the calm before the storm lol. We deal with a bunch of big houses down here in South Florida . Most people have from 1 to 3 units. some people have up to 18 units and one house. Ridiculous you can’t even find the thermostats and the filters and the drain lines.

      @@jerrylockhart3069 Get the hell out of here?!? Lol 😂 dude that’s insane. I do work in Windermere here most I’ve done is 6 at one house and then they want to stack a few more on there hahaha. But that’s insane! You ain’t lying it’s getting ready to crack open for sure

    Got a question, on something you just did, what would you charge the customer, how much was the motor, mine went out according to the ac guy and he wanted to charge me alot for it, thanks

    • @KoolinwithKrauss
      @KoolinwithKrauss  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey solid question! There’s many variables to something like that. Basically comes down to the warranty status of the equipment and the style motor you have. I’ve installed motors that range from 300-1800 so that all depends as well as the company! 👍🏻

    Where can I get another blower motor fan at? I replaced the motor and it shacks now

      I’d go back to your local distributor get the motor replaced there 👍🏻

    Hello. I’m having trouble with my carrier blower motor. Does it have a capacitor on it. I can’t locate one on mine at all. AC unit outside runs fine but blower fan in unit is not moving humming lightly. Fens spin smooth by hand. I’m thinking it’s the whole blower motor? I don’t see a capacitor

    • @KoolinwithKrauss
      @KoolinwithKrauss  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It appears that you have an ECM motor. Which would be different from a PSC motor which requires a capacitor. The motor you have would have a module, potentially there’s a cap on the end that would be gray or have 2 sets of plugs (one low voltage and one high voltage) generally the motor is not what fails but the module. Depending if the component is under warranty would be the direction you go with repairing!

      @@KoolinwithKraussWow I appreciate the fast response. Had to move my kids downstairs because this upstairs unit is out. Texas heat. I’ll look into that. I’m pretty handy so I’ll try to find the replacement part an repair it myself. Do you have any recommendations sites for the module part I truly appreciate you.

    • @KoolinwithKrauss
      @KoolinwithKrauss  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@troywaterman7123 absolutely! Keep them kids comfortable for sure! What you can do is look up the model number of your equipment or if you can find the data plate on the motor that gives you the HP, amps, Volts and rpm that way you can find the proper motor. In terms of online I’m not to sure generally I go to a supply house but just hit a quick google search and you should be able to find something 👍🏻
