Looks mint, but was hoping to see how they prep the rusted steel tray, i raptor coated a portion and took me about 8 hours with a wire wheel and sandpaper to get all the rust and crap off because the checkerplate made it hard to get a flappy disc in there
Ive called up to price Rhino/Raptor for my Pajero. Was told 6L for the body and 2L for the bar although as it comes in 4L packs I would get two of them for the body and probably do a little more inside. Maybe even rip the carpet up for added rust protection. Either way still under a Grand from the prices I was given. Also his not the only one with issues at Lithgow. I sadly got towed out last time I was there.
That's true, its so versatile! Please note that he durability of U-POL RAPTOR is strongly linked to its high film build. By adding reducer the film build will decrease and therefore some of its durability characteristics will decrease, although only slightly!
@@U-POLAustraliaNZ i have used your products with both the adjustable spray gun and a HVLP gun. The only difference I noticed was the texture. The vehicle I sprayed the HVLP gun has held up to trail rash, rocks, mud, dirt, and snow without any issues at all

i've been planning to coat a suzuki samurai (sierra in that hemisphere) with some raptor liner. I wasn't aware it was tintable! that solidifies it for me!

The old 80 is that wonderful factory grey that I see everywhere in totally shit condition but I'll be going for a different tint this time around and I want to colour match my rims and bar work if possible. Raptor Coating is a Polyurethane coating, which you can apply yourself, and even touch up or recoat if necessary. Tintable to most colours using Automotive 2pac basecoat. Raptor can go onto many various surfaces (When following correct preparation methods) including plastics etc.

Three pros painting that lux cost 1000$ lol ok.the skill required to paint a vehicle and body work it are far outside the wheelhouse of most fellas in thè garage.three days and that compressor will be charging every second spray, use a large enough unit to power the gun.(will not maintain pressure)been there done that, for the t-shirt.
Hi Joe The cost involved is for materials. The compressor was working hard but as mentioned it got the job done. Ultimately the bigger capacity the better, but it can still be used with a mid sized unit.

Hey mate! Unfortunately there was more Sikkaflex than bolts and the likes attaching the snorkel, so cutting it off wasn't an option. Hope that clears it up for you :)
Putty on bare metal - WRONG! Putty on only sanded rust? - WRONG... You guys transformed worst panint in even worse than before because it only bomb whit timer fuse. Even Raptor need proper surface prep, like sanding, rust removal and epoxy primer under final raptor coat. IWhitout it, Raptor will buble and fall off. Its not as solid as LineX, its only poliurethane paint whit more hardener. And yes, i use Raptor in my life and use other types of bedliners. Know what will work years, and what will look (aprox few months, before it start falling off).
If you have had trouble cleaning U-POL RAPTOR, our tech gurus recommend the following tips when cleaning RAPTOR to keep it looking good! 1. Give your car a good spring clean with a nylon brush/broom at your local self serve car wash 2. Apply a bit of spray wax (usually available at your local self serve car wash as well!) 3. Wash down your Raptored surface with U-POL System 20 S2000 Panel Wipe - this is our little trick when we visit events with our RAPTOR coated vehicles.
That's a $4,000 hilux to begin with. When i spray liner on 4x4's I tell the owners the truth It's hard to keep clean It lowers the value of the car It cost around $10000 to get it off and repaint if you don't like it. The stuff looks magic when you first paint it. Give it a couple of months it looks shit.

I'm going to suggest getting the spray gun closer to the job. Might save a lot of overspray.
I raptor coated my lux but I used a down draft spray gun and it gave it some shine

Raptor is sandable. Just like any other 2k paint. Sand,highfill, respray back to original
