Before everyone attacks me in the comments, I made this in advance before Oloapu was linked to the Dolphins and Hazelton was linked to the Knights. Also made this before Harris announced his retirement, have seem rumours of Naufahu Whyte being linked there, would be a great signing
4:07 As a bulldogs fan. Thank u. Everyone was saying we should have signed Papenhuyzen I was personally happy we missed out on such an injury prone player. Connor Tracey defo one of the most underrated players in the comp
I personally feel like Tracey will reach another level again in 2024, so safe under the high ball, gets through so much tough work and is a great ball player due to his growing up as a half, severely underrated
Staines, doueihi and starford are off contract for 2026. If it was possible within salary cap to move one or two on in order to bring in Ronaldo its definitely a major improvement
I am a Saints fan. There are very few players off contract at the end of 2025 that I want us to sign. Cobbo is the player I would have targeted to play fullback, but we have signed Gutherson to play fullback and have signed Atkinson to play 5/8 in 2026, which doesn't leave room for Cobbo. I think Cobbo will be superstar fullback. He was earmarked for Brisbane's fullback spot, until Walsh went back there and made it his own. Last year when Walsh was out injured before the first origin game, Slater was talking to Kevin Walters about playing him fullback for Brisbane, to see if he was up to playing fullback for Qld. I won't be surprised if Easts sign him. Sipley from Manly would be a decent signing for us to bolster our props, which we are very week in. I think Brandon Smith has already been offered to us, but Flanno wasn't interested. We do have 2 very good prospects in the lock position in Hamish Stewart and Finau Latu. Hopefully one of both of them become good first graders. Latu is the one I am most hopeful of out of the 2. He is still only 18 year old. Maybe Saint should have a look at the Cronulla centre you mentioned Chris Vea'ila?
Love it, agree with everything you’ve said, Finau Latu does have huge wraps on him but I think Stewart will be great too and he’ll get this shot this year hopefully, either way it’s not a bad luxury to have Vai’lea would be a handy pick up but I think we’re sorted for centres right now, although the depth is lacking but Buchanan will be our long term centre I believe
@@trademarksports From the highlights I saw of Lawson from seven rugby. He looks like a very good prospect. I think centre looks like his best position, but there is talk of starting him on the wing. We could also move Holmes to the wing if better centres come along. I think Suli's game is more suited to second row. He very rarely passes the ball. He runs hard, but with Sua and Leilua there and good youngsters coming through our system, I doubt he will make the move there with us.
I actually think Blake Mozer would be perfect at the Cowboys as a Robson replacement. That to me is a match made in heaven. I was thinking Mozer for them and then you said him for Parra instead. For me theres just too much pressure on him atm in brisbane to be "the next Cameron Smith" and i dont think him going to sydney eases that. He goes north to the Cowboys out of the spotlight and all of a sudden the pressure is relieved, he can focus on himself without the need to live up to everyone elses expectations and thats where i believe hed be able to hit that potential. We saw how it worked out for Dearden, the best possible thing for Mozer would be to pack his bags and follow him up there
That’s a great point actually and would be a great sales pitch for the cowboys to give him too. I do agree with your sentiment though regarding mozer in Brisbane, just feel like he won’t get to play his best footy there
@trademarksports yeah I don't understand why they weren't giving Sanders game time when Moses was injured so I completely understand him wanting to leave. Got hi Hope's for Para with the new coach but he needs to fix are defence specially in the outside backs. I think if Moses & Brown and can play a full season and stay fit we are always a chance. Just started watching your page mate liking the content 👍 keep it up
@@SD-ez5yo I think with last year, Sanders was already confirmed to be going to the Raiders so doesn't make sense to continue to develop his game for another club if you know what i mean Thanks for the kind words!!
I agree we need a prop but we also have Loko who will contribute this year, Viliame Fifita will hopefully play some more minutes and smith is the perfect middle forward for the way the game is now, mobile and can ball play
Dragons should not risk Smith in 2025. Despite the Roosters being willing to release him, he is currently injured and will not be ready until mid season at best and could easily break down when he comes back. Signing him now means we are just giving the Roosters salary cap relief and giving up salary cap space for a player with very limited 2025 upside. Smith needs to show that he is fit and that he wants to play professional League. If he shows some positive attitude and his body stands up to regular football he could be an option in 2026. If that costs us money that is acceptable, Smith has not shown form like he had at the Storm for years despite playing under a good coach and with a strong team. Its not like signing Gaz in 2010 for half a season, Smith does not bring enough to the team to balance out the injury risk. Flano has worked hard to recruit players who bring a positive attitude and 2025 appears to be about getting our young players with potential to adopt good attitude from the King and Cook and build a culture that will last for years not simply to win games in 2025. While Smith might be marginally cheaper if we signed him in 2025, the potential upside of only half a season at best is not worth the potential downside of his poor attitude impacting the badly needed transformation of the team's attitude. The Dragons will have Daniel Atkinson in 2026 for the halves and if Smith demonstrates good attitude, a fit body and a strong desire to play league, the inclusion of Smith as a ball playing lock along with Atkinson would give us options. Plus Cook will be another year older in 2025 and the option of switching Smith into hooker of Cook needs a rest mid season provides great flexibility. The inclusion of Smith will not suddenly make the Dragons a potential premiership contender but could easily negatively impact Flano's program to inject positive attitude into the team. Bringing him in 2025 is simply too risky with limited upside.
If Smith was the perfect middle forward the Roosters wouldn't be telling him to leave. There's a LOT of players I'd prefer at the Dragons before him! It wouldn't surprise me if Liddle developed into that Cameron Murray type player at the Dragons.
Egan Butcher is a prop bro he stinks on the edge, he can't catch and take contact he needs the ball early, he can't defend well either out there. We have Hugo Savala so i don't see us getting a 6 or Welsby for sure. I do want Dylan Brown right now at the Roosters though. We could be looking for a fullback believe it or not when Teddy retires if Manu doe'snt come back
Yeah I think Dylan Brown would be a gun signing, can see Ponga coming across to play 1 or even Cobbo to play centre until teddys had enough and then go to fullback
There’s 510 people in NRL top 30 squads, I’m not gonna ‘research’ where they played under 8’s, but what I do know is that the roosters have developed him and his brother since they were 15

Tigers got Laulilii and Skelton, Ronaldo would be alright but I think we should focus on a back rower first
That's probably a fair call, out of the guys on the market who do you think would make a good fit?
Staines, doueihi and starford are off contract for 2026. If it was possible within salary cap to move one or two on in order to bring in Ronaldo its definitely a major improvement
@@trademarksportsbreaking the rules of one per team. Would have to be a back rower, stocks are low so a fifita or Egan Butcher would be lovely imo
Either of those guys would be awesome, but yeah back rowers are hard to come by at the moment tbh
Keep killing it bro!!!!!
Thanks boss! Will do

I absolutely don't think we need Egan Butcher. We already have the team to win a premiership, just the right coaching would do 👍
Parra fan here 100% agree
Imagine a spine in 3 years with longi, brown, mozer, would be awesome. Just a shame Sanders went elsewhere for an opportunity

Changed my room around, but I have moved now so get ready for another change ahahah

Cobbo would definitely be a good signing for the cowboys
It just fits so well, I think he’d be great up there
The roosters need a big 5/8 and a centre
I do agree, I think they’ll make a huge play at Galvin if he continues his form from last season for that 5/8 role
Disagree with Smith, we really need a prop.

For the right price sure, he’s gone down the pecking order again with Toelau coming through
