Funny story, I used to call out my melees like: “I just fisted the enemy Dva.” This was before I learned its actual meaning, and my team gave me plenty of weird looks.
Doesn’t mean I stopped doing it though.

Suggestion: Make genji deflect when timing melee perfectly.
That would be sick but if it was actually in game though it would cause so much chaos

when you punch someone as Lifeweaver, it should inflict them with thorns which when reloading will release dealing damage to the target
Since illiari quick melee's basically a sword, increase the AOE of it, I think that'd be funny
And for Mauga, maybe take the same idea as his chainguns burning and critting burning, but I don't know how you could code the distinction of both chainguns since its random which one is meleeing (I believe)
Also I think it would be funny and most likely on brand if the Ana melee just nanoed the target, because that is the purpose for the syringe, maybe make it a random chance for balance
Edit: I should really watch the video before making these suggestions, because they keep piling up. I remember there was an concept about mythics having unique animations, and for Kiriko she pulled out her kunai to melee, so maybe there could be a damage multiplier when meleeing the head, or maybe the back?
Throwing Ana is real, nanoboosting enemies
When Baptiste hit someone with his melee while he has the exo-boots charged, he deals more damage and pushes back the enemy
When Baptiste melees when falling after the exo-boots jump he does more damage and is launched again in the air to make a chain of melees
For Ana, I have another idea for her melee. Since it's the nano boost syringe, maybe make it so, when she melees one of her allies, that ally gets a mini-nanoboost (like 5% damage boost and 5% damage reduction), maybe with a cooldown
Kiriko stabs someone with the kunai
Orisa should use her spear
Bastions melee should do extra damage bc imagine getting punched by a hunk of metal
Ash idea: she uses pocket ash to blind opponents. Whoever she hits with her quick melee, maybe even in a radius with a black orb to show it is ash, and whoever is hit will be briefly blinded.

Ashe pickpockets you whenever you get punched by her, disabling an ability for bit (like she’s robbing your ability) or she could steal your ammo or ult charge

I’d like to imagine rein spinning the hammer for the back is facing the enemy before a quick burst of flames come out as a quick melee
Simple idea for Ashe and Bap, I personally use them in my custom game
Ashe - make it her coach gun
Bap - give him exo-fists, where he moves forward instead of vertical like his boots. I did something similar to sig as well since he controls gravity
Brigitte - a shorter ranged version of her shield bash that stuns/knocks enemies down for a short time.
Reinhardt - a Ground-stomp that throws enemies into the air.
Ashe or Junkrat - an explosive melee that damages you and the enemies around you.
Baptiste - an Exopunch that you charge up by holding melee. Deals more damage and knock-back the longer it charges.
Mei - throw a Snowball on melee.
Pharah - a rocket-punch that boosts you forward.
Sojourn - deal extra damage with movespeed so slide-punching becomes a thing.
Roadhog - tether enemies to you, as if you had attached your hook with the melee. The tether lasts for a few seconds, can be manually removed by meleeing again, can be broken with some movement abilities and hook is disabled while having someone tethered.
Symmetra - Gives allies shields.
Sigma - Throw enemies in the air and slam them back down like his ultimate, but at a smaller scale.
Junkerqueen - pull nearby enemies towards you before stabbing them.
Mercy - does the opposite of her last used staff ability. If you used healing last, decrease the amount of healing the enemy gets (smallscale antiheal). If you used the damage increase last, decrease the enemy's damage.
Venture - when meleeing a wall, get moved to the other side of the wall, as if you were tunneling through.
Genji or Kiriko - Melee does more damage from behind.
Cassidy punches with a bottle and ignites it with his cigarette afterwards

When Baptiste melees he charges his exo-boots
Tracer: she uses both hands 🙌,( kinda saying “WAIT WAIT HOLD UP”) and slows down the opponent for like 2 secs cus she goes really fast so others would be slow to her.
When Lifeweaver Melees since he uses his palm he uses the pokemon move "force palm" and knocks back enemys and a text appears saying "Its super effective!"

idea: junkrats melee just explodes him and who he punched instantly. ana melee: give like 1-2 seconds of nano not the full duration, but like. its steals like 10% of her ult charge
With junkrat, when you have the detonator in hand and you quick melee, it also triggers the mine to blow up as well
idea for ramattra's quick melee:
it pulls enemies closer to him, opposite to zenyatta who kicks them away, if not then make his melee in nemesis form also send the pummel wave

Ramattra’s nemesis form melee should stun for like half a second because they just got hit on the head, I don’t know about omnic form though
Roadhog: His melee does a bleed effect, similar to JQ but also add an effect that knocks that character over, or maybe stuns them.
Ashe: Use the coach gun as her melee, make it have a chance to misfire and do damage to her and knock her back.
Baptiste: Have his punch be a kick, and have it charge the exo boots slightly? Idk
Kiriko: I saw a video where someone changed some mythical skin animations from Genji to Tracer, and they had Kiriko use her Kunai for melee. So maybe do that?
Sojourn: She has a highlight intro that has her left hand turn into a weird gun looking thing. Have it fire a bullet every time she punches.
Pharah: Her left arm fires her concussive blast, have it so there’s a random chance her concussive activates when she hits someone.
Mei: Make her punch freeze people ;)
Tracer: Have her stun someone when she pistol whips someone. (Kind of like how Brigitte’s shield bash stuns during Rally)
Winston: Did you say, strangling people!? Have him do that while he ults.
I was just gonna say that doomfist melee should be his uppercut without the effect obviously or it could be like a flick you know when there’s like a mosquito or something on you and you just flick it off doomfist should flick with his gauntlet it would be so funny and just be perfect
Roadhog: he actually hookes so the hook will attach and when the enemy moves aways the chain unravels and when the hook abulity is activated it just brings them back.
I want Bastion Quick Melee to heal every omnic so that his old "repair" ability somewhat comes back. I miss the old bastion ult :c
fun fact: Mercy performs an uppercut melee if she is in her Valkyrie form, and when seen from the third person perspective

hog - bring back the grappling hook from the content creator patch
genji - melee should have a very "balanced" backstab bonus along with the bleed idea
it would probably be difficult, but you could make baptiste jump on the enemy when using his melee
For baptiste make is if you charge moon boots and punch someone it has more damage and knockback but it use the moon boots charge. it’s like a mini doomfist charge punch
A little idea for mei is she grabs a icicle and slows them down
Should have shown melle attacks when was talking abt them, i aint remembering all of them
There is a joke in the last 10 seconds about why i didn’t add it but it’s too deep without context
Two Genji ideas:
1. His melee does the same as Swift Strike (50 dmg)
2. If your deflect gets hit by a melee attack, pressing quick melee will do a riposting stab for 1.5x melee damage (75 without blade, 165 with blade)
Lucio punch should rotate the camera like there dancing
ana melee provides 3 second nano boost to allys without the heal.
Mei straight up stabs someone with an iceberg
genji accidentally hits himself after using his melee

My ideas for the special punches:
Ashe: From out of frame Bob punches with her.
Doomfist: If he is empowered then his quick melee will grapple an opponent and he can launch them farther with his punch.
Lucio: Should just do more damage if you have momentum
Sojourn: If your disruptor is ready then it launch that with the melee punch
Echo: Has the same punch ability as the last person she punched
Ramatra: same as Ashe but instead of Bob it’s his nemesis form
Soldier 76: does more damage if he just came out of a sprint
Widowmaker: If her mine is ready and not out then she attaches to the targets face and it explodes in them
Mercy: Since she staffs from the ground up, if she hits a male character they get hit in the nuts and stunned
Huh, roadhog, junkrat and junkerqueen all hit people with what they are holding on their left hand, and they are all from junker city.
Torbjorn's gun melee should increase his speed to as much as possible but only for as long as the melee itself lasts
(So it would be like an INSANE speed increase for a very brief moment)
For Bap, amke him punch like his weapon fires - three quick punches in a row. Just because.
If I could increase fire rate, that’d be perfect. I really wish I could do that without it looking off
brigs quick melee could be a bonk on the head, no extra range but instant should still activate the passive tho
Ashe could hit with the butt of the shotgun she uses, maybe it coul have a dizzy effect like new cassidy bomb

I have an idea for Lucio :
Sound punch
Quick melee leaves a green aura around the target and makes the traget weaker to Lucio's secondary fire .
The victim will take more boop damage and knockback .
for all healers you could make it so they do healing to them selves and allies when punching. (sort of like brigs reg attack)
I don’t really want to encourage supports just punching all game and if I add it to just hit enemies, then it’s just like brig xD. Also, may lag the game since the way I do it sucks
Ana - Applies heal block
Doom - V2 Arm Ultrakill (shoots after a bit because of gun knuckles)
Lucio - Small air boost
Sigma - Clears schizophrenia
Echo - sharp finger stab, +backstab damage
brig: whack someone on the head with her shield, maybe a stun
ashe: give her bob's arm and let her shoot like bob on a cooldown
bap: he has a weird wire on his back that projects his ult and it looks kind on like a snake to me, so the melee could be that i bites the enemy
lucio: whoever he melees will either get 0 game sound or max volume
tracer: since she can go through time, when she melee's she time travels and hits the person multiple times
torb: his gun is filled with lava so light enemy on fire
lifeweaver: poke someone with the thorn
sym: giant. hard light, fist
junk: since he has the detonator it should activate, cause he hit someone with a device that triggers his bomb so it should
Hard buff doom’s melee cuz he’s jacked
i think it would be cool if cassady pulls out his hat and punches through his hat
For Hammond when u hit them with your gun it would but I’d think it be cool if when u kill sum1 wif melee it drops a mine idk if u can do this but it be cool

brigitte's flail throw is kind of a quick melee
On brig, I actually have a use case for having her primary and melee being the same thing. I have quick melee bound to mouse1 and her primary on scroll up (I am weird, I know, I just find it much more consistent and easier to access that way) so that way I don't accidentally waste shield bash when I actually want to drop shield and start swinging, a habit I have on from rein oddly enough as he has no extra ability tied to his shield. It is super useful as I don't need to change around my muscle memory from my rein days for brig as I play her much more now since tank is... tank.
I feel rein could push his hammer forward so it does a bit of kb to keep em infront of his shield, it doesn’t have to do more or normal damage cuz it’s just a shove but being able to push em back like 5m to keep em infront of ur shield would be sick
the thing on Ana's hand is probably her nano boost so imagine if you could melee your teamates to grant them a short nano boost
Junkrat leaves a timed bomb but does 0 impact damage
Doomfist should do a backhand with his gauntlet that does increased damage, triggers his passive overhealth, and maybe does extra knockback
For widow when she punches someone they become visible through walls for a short time

i think for brig and rien melee should be with like the back of the handle so the range being small make sense or a poke
ashe melee throws gunpowder a short range and covers an enemy. when shot, the enemy becomes ignited
I think for mei, since snowball is sentient, in an attempt to help Mei, maybe for her melee it could be an animation of snowball flying out and smacking into them on their own
Doomfist melee sends you absolutely flying
Mei should throw an actual snow ball with a rock In it and have it go further if it misses
If possible Lucios melee should speed up teammates or slow down enemies

Brigittes melee could be her flinging her whip at someone and pulling them in a bit just not as effective as hogs hook but just a little like the opposite of her whip lash attack (I think thats what its called)
Junker queen without knife: just rotate her wrist 180 while giving the middle finger, so punch with middle finger out.
That syringe on Ana is the nano. Bit counterintuitive to inject that into enemies

Torbjorn Hammer should be able to be thrown and called back like Thors hammer and this would be his new primary fire dealing fire damage and can be left in them for a bit more damage or called back for a shorter cool down

Mei punch would give frost bite
Sigma, very similar to your idea: Targets temporarily get zero gravity very temporarily. Letting you get in another volley of primary fire. Should probably have some sort of cooldown so you can't just push people away infinitely.
doom melee does the same thing his punch does but his punch does nothing
When Tracer melees she her blink cool down loses 1 second. Landing three melees on one enemy will cause them to spin around frantically because they want to catch the annoying Tracer
added zen perk. Increased knockback and forces the enemy to do a sit emote to meditate. (Although I dont know how you would code that)
Reins handle meelee has extra range so you can engage quicker with a quick poke then a swing
mei could grab a secondary fire icicle and melee with it
Moira should yoink some of the enemy life force to regain some of her heal juice when she hits with her melee
i really like doomfist’s melee because it looks like a baby hand compared to his fist and it makes me laugh
i always thought reaper used the blades on his arm to cut people as his melee

For Ashe when she has the dinamite off cooldown she sticks the dinamite to the enemy she melees
For Genji I think something like a parry with his melee but instead of deflecting the attack give him damage reduction or invulnerability
For Ana I think it would be better an anti-heal effect instead of damage over time because it's the same as increasing his melee damage
For Hanzo a shockwave like Ramattra nemesis form but that goes through walls
For Torbjon I think getting on fire the enemy could be okay but maybe it could instead drop some lava over the enemy
For Bastion he shots a shotgun

I think for brigitte you should make her summon a torb that hits one with his hammer
Ashe should spin her gun around like her animation for the beginning of her reload and knock the target back like her shotgun
For phara make it a market gardener if they are falling their melee deals double damage
Mauga just overhead punches the enemy with both weapons
