- I have always liked playing Tank & still do but this is truly the worst role to play right now due to the overpowered DPS passive that completely shafts you. You will also be the one catching all the flack if you lose the match, you could literally be the only one with Elims & still be blamed for the loss. They need to find a different DPS passive to make Tanks actually feel like the role it was meant to be otherwise DPS will be the ones calling the shots the entire time.
Definitely need 2 tanks fasho
They would probably not do that even though a lot of fans want it back

@@GiggaGMikeE yep. Call it a tank diff when I've got more damage than anyone in the game, more than the combined total of our DPS, but DPS just sat there eating crayons

From what ive heard the midseason patch might be doing something good. Probably copium thougn. I dont mind tank much though
Yea I saw people saying that but I dont know what other thing they would do unless they just take less damage overall.

Tanks are regularly the role with the most damage inside the round. It’s just dumb. Don’t get why you are whining.
Usually stops when you leave bronze 4, when you get there then you’ll see the issue
@4Saken__ im diamond and i still see tanks be highest damage kind of depending on the tank you play.
@@DrSanders111 Which is fair it happens, but lets not pretend that tank getting highest damage (which in itself can be an empty stat anyway) is regular and there hasn't been people (including me) and multiple streamers non-tank streamers play and grind the role and never want to play the role again or outright quit the game. It's been the worse role by far nearly years now. Even when it is "good" it's only because Mauga or Orissa are in a state where you could be a bullet sponge and actually survive in the open for more than 3 seconds
@4Saken__ well dev notes came out and they say they are buffing tank survivability again so we will see.
Overall i just miss 6v6. Having 2 tanks is what made the game so well balanced. Taking that second tank out just makes it harder on the one tank that has to take all the damage and be on the front lines.
Bring back 6v6, fix the problem.

I don't know what exactly "ximming" is cuz i am a pc player, but I definitly agree with your statement of the tank role beeing too weak and I hope there will be some kind of balance patch the next few updates
Ximming is when console players play with a mouse and keyboard instead of controller so they would get the aim assist of the console and the aim capabilities of mouse and keyboard.

i was a tank player in OW1, after like 5 games in OW2 i retired from tanking, not fun whatsoever. DPS are pretty strong but my biggest gripe are the support abilities that just enable it. life grip, suzu, lamp all make it very difficult to punish other heroes. For example, Widow who can just control the map just by existing, and you have to dive her multiple times to bait out the support CDs before you can even kill her, and if you make one mistake on your dive, you die and have to start it all over again
Tanks are no longer tanks & feel like they have the same health pool as everyone else.
