Currently in Georgia, and also in Texas they are not illegal. Technically they are not installed on a firearm as there isn’t currently legislation for air rifles specifically. If you install the moderator on anything other than an air rifle, you would be violating several regulations. I would suggest looking into your local (state) laws if you have concerns. Great question and thanks for your feedback/support.
On a similar note, we once had someone report us to the sheriff while shooting in our backyard. (Within an HOA). Sheriff arrived, inspected things, then spent the next 45 minutes shooting with us. We had a lot of fun and some great conversation.
Once we get our barrel tensioners delivered, we can try it on the extender. Having all that weight on the end of the barrel seemed excessive. Sounds like a fun trial though!
As long as it has a threaded barrel, which it looks like it does. Then on the Donny FL side just select the right caliber. Its really simple from utahair.
If I had a neighbor that was so rude and inconsiderate as to have their dog barking all day like that, I sure as hell wouldn't be worried about making too much noise with an air gun!
Haha. Can’t tune it low enough to not get caught and we’ve had the police called once already. Turns out we were all good and he stayed and shot with us for another 30-45 minutes. He was amazed “these aren’t the air rifles I grew up with”. 😁😁😁
I've got the Tanto and it works perfectly fine, but to be honest, the DonnyFL range especially the bigger stuff is way over priced and it's all marketing and design...plenty cheaper options on the market that 'suppress' better
I would agree that there isn’t a technology or design change within the lineup and other than volume of the can, the larger ones approach the law of diminishing return. We will be testing other brands once we save up a bit of money.
You keep having an inconsistent distance between the muzzle and microphone sir. This deviation makes your entire test flawed im afraid you have wasted your time. To set up a better system make 1 feet 3 feet 5 feet distance markers. mic all of them. register the shooting again. Get a workable result that scales well ;)
Great suggestion and you are correct. This is a learning process as well as teaching. We learn all kinds of new things each time. Definitely valuable suggestions that will be taken into account for future projects. 😁
That’s a valid point, but since I purchase everything, that’s all I had at the time. I will be trying new brands with future moderator purchases. Thank you for watching and your feedback!
Cost and value are certainly things to consider but we were using a cell phone as a decibel reader and actual decibel reduction maybe different which is why I had to go to improvement percentages. I agree that the standard moderator had noticeable improvement and came with the gun and the Tanto was the best value, but it is still subjective to end user. Thank you for your thoughts and comments.
Hard to beat 560% improvement. No complaints here! It is one of those things where we consistently look for more and increased performance in all areas though. Just testing and comparing to see what works best in each of our specific scenarios. Thanks for the feedback and comments.
Well they didn’t pay or send them to us so we had to purchase each one. We like them but have not compared them to some of the other manufacturers. Thanks for watching!! Appreciate it
We have a new video dropping within a week or two showing DonnyFL’s newest lineup which is comparable in price but much more adaptable and so far, I really like it. As for other manufacturers, I do not have a comparison test nor experience with them.
@bowmanoutdoors yes I have the sumo on my .25 cal. wildcat mk3bt sniper w/ slug power kit and slug liner quieter than my .22 cal. m rod... also a little side note you might want to clean the felt, screen, and baffles in your Donnie FL after every 2000 rounds as it gets weighty from the lead dust and changes your point of impact and the report

Can you add a DonnyFL to a 22 caliber Benjamin Akela? If so, what do I need to know?
As long as it has a threaded barrel, which it looks like it does. Then on the Donny FL side just select the right caliber. Its really simple from utahair.
very good the videos are of congratulations I would like to know the size of each suppression of this one can you leave it inscribed please
Sizes placed in the comments section. Thank you for your question and feedback!!!
If I had a neighbor that was so rude and inconsiderate as to have their dog barking all day like that, I sure as hell wouldn't be worried about making too much noise with an air gun!
Haha. Very good point! 😃
Can i ask what app you were using?
I’ll have to ask Logan. He is the one in charge of technology. 😁
have you try hogan trident?
I have not. Should we?
@@bowmanoutdoors yes you should try it.💪
Forgot the sumo?
Love the Sumo’s performance but aesthetics are a bit off for me. 😄
Thanks for the feedback and support also!
I freakin love it… I’ll like to check more out to compare..
Was kinda hopin that neighbor dog would catch a flier!
Haha. Can’t tune it low enough to not get caught and we’ve had the police called once already. Turns out we were all good and he stayed and shot with us for another 30-45 minutes. He was amazed “these aren’t the air rifles I grew up with”. 😁😁😁
That’s not to say I haven’t had the exact same thought on multiple occasions. 🤔
This is why i never buy expensive silencer .... I make my own
Understand that, but we have liked our Donny FL including their customer service.
If you publish a Table it would be better.
Great suggestion for the next comparison video. Thanks for the feedback!
I had the same result, with the shogun 97 decibels. Waste of money. Weihrauch XL I came to 86 decibels. Donnyfl nice advertisement, bad muffler
Thanks for the feedback and for watching. I have a new moderator on order from a different manufacturer. We’ll see how it compares.
at least do it with another brand or different moderator.
That’s a valid point, but since I purchase everything, that’s all I had at the time. I will be trying new brands with future moderator purchases.
Thank you for watching and your feedback!
Not accurate testing dog barking in the background lol
Podniecacie się tylko tym że coś jest ładne.W żeczywistości DFL to szajs.
That is not worth the money!!!
560% decrease in sound for the Ronin not a good enough result for you?
Hard to beat 560% improvement. No complaints here! It is one of those things where we consistently look for more and increased performance in all areas though. Just testing and comparing to see what works best in each of our specific scenarios.
Thanks for the feedback and comments.
Overrated, and even more overpriced.
Well they didn’t pay or send them to us so we had to purchase each one. We like them but have not compared them to some of the other manufacturers.
Thanks for watching!! Appreciate it
Can you please tell us of a better example that is less expensive I would love to know which one that is... thanks
