I was disappointed that they didn't give Oni Luffy his Gear 4th forms, but then again having those along with Gear 5th would have been overkill imo

But they gave hybrid kaido his beast form when executing air combos so it doesn't make any sense why they didn't do the same thing to onigashima luffy. Excellent decision making right there. I'm sure a lot of fans would like to see gum gum overkong gun or kong gatling.
It wouldn't have been overkill honestly. Base Luffy already has Snakeman, Bounceman AND Full Force Burst all at the same time. Adding on Gear 5 to that wouldn't have made much of a difference.
That said, IMO they should have made Onigashima Luffy transform into Gear 4 as part of his moveset combos. Similar to how Hybrid Kaido transforms into his dragon form as part of his air combos.
should have some g4 attacks on his regular combos... we know he can go in and out of g4 easily now.
@@envytee9659 I mean to me at least, Full Force Burst isn't really on the same level as Bounceman or Snakeman
Something that a lot of people don’t know is that if you keep the combo meter over a thousand while in gear 5 the transformation gauge will never go down unless you drop the combo meter so in some scenarios you can keep gear 5 for the entire mission
Had G5 active for like 5 minutes and thought it was just bugged😂
Ah I knew there was a reason, because I was looking at my g5 bar and it wasn't going down and was like *yo infinite gear 5?*
That explains why the gear 5 meter didnt drain for like 5 minutes

Just one note, This isn't the first time they made G5 playable in a video game, technically it was the third time but assuming that Treasure Cruise doesn't count as gameplay (atleast not for me) the first time would be in a mobile game called One Piece Bounty Rush. But IT'S the first time in a console/PC game yeah

Yamato as 'he' is something that i never get used
Luffy has advanced conquers haki on his moves now, not much change, but a noticable difference in combat since characters with it destroy guard.
And on the second soul map there's some new skills and the rest are upgrades to the older skills.
I'm excited to check this DLC out! Bummer about the Luffy but I'm glad Gear 5 looks fun. Kiado and Yamato look sick! That's good to know that the episodes are more than one level. I feel you on the "Samurai Chefs" thing. I just call them Samurai Chefs because for some reason I never read it as, "Chief."

They seem like pretty fun missions. I'm glad I held off on finishing all the extra log missions, so I can use the new characters doing them. I don't know if I'll buy the dlc at full price though lol
What difficulty do you have the game set on? Cuz you can mess with that in the settings from the main menu, and the extreme difficulty can be BRUTAL

@@thesquadron7571difficulty only affect dramatic log and free log. Special log and treasure log use level system as the difficulty. Right now the highest difficulty for treasure log is 18 and special log is 15. But, knowing that soul map 1 let your characters reach level 25, then the next mission special log adventure might be have level 25 or 30 mission
I don't know about the take of onigashima luffy being weaker. luffy still has his full burst alongside gear 5 which should not be ignored since luffy destroys as a power type in general. After using gear 5, you can use the full burst to charge it back quicker and deal huge damage. Speaking of gear 5, it kinda does more than snakeman and bounce-man combined with how it's attacks are. Lastly, while red roc is just another cool 4 star special, roc gatling is a 3 star special that obviously destroys characters shield. Base Luffy doesn't have that kind of option.
Absolutely I don't forget there's also the equippable passive that increases charge rate for your specials as well
I agree, despite the disappointment I had with his lack of Gear 4th forms, Oni Luffy is still really fun, especially in Gear 5th
The one thing that I hated about G-4 in this game was due to his constant jumping it became almost impossible to target your hits. They should've made the locking mechanism better & they should've given us a G-5 that doesn't keep jumping.
I’m hoping we get Garp and Enel in the future, was heartbroken to see them left out of the base roster, especially Enel he’s one of my favorite minor antagonists

5:15 well with the skill "Worked Up" that you get from the soul map you could potentially be in Gear 5 for an entire mission but the fact still stands
I really enjoyed the game, got the old DLCs, but as it didn't really add much to the actual game, I kinda didn't really felt like I got my moneys worth.
If the new DLC pass included both characters and the stages, I would have probably gotten it again, but I just can't justify spending so much on just a few new characters and even more on the stages.
For that price I can almost get a whole new warriors game
you're not wrong but I also feel an entire new mode is interesting and it does look like it could be fun especially as they add more maps with future characters, also uta, shanks, and koby from film red will be interesting characters

Question! There's a deluxe version and an ultimate version on the switch. I don't understand the difference mainly because I've never heard of this game till yesterday. Does the ultimate version have some useless packs or is it actually good? The deluxe says it has only a character pass. Does the ultimate edition have everything or just useless dlcs? Sorry for long question. Just wanna know the difference and which to get.

I think the DLC is fine, i get that it sucks that it feels like rehashig old territory but if its only one character out of three and gear 5 is fun and unique enough to make up for it then im fine with it, ive been having a blast with him and the new kaido is Incredible, yamato tho i was most excited for, shes someone i really wanted to be added since rumors first started. At least the other packs promise to be alot more unique, im VERY interested in uta and roger
the thing I wish most is that they would bring back the older costumes from previous games I would love to use Strong world shanks luffy and more

It's actually the second time, he was first playable in One Piece: Bounty Rush, but that's a mobile game so I don't know if you count it. Definitely not counting the card game though cause you can hardly call that a "playable appearance".

Its not beacuse of gender tho Yamato litterly says oden was a guy so why shouldn't I be its beacuse she sees herself as oden she is identifying as another person.
Besides in the synopsis before every chapter Oda has her titled as Kaidos Daughter, she was in full spread drawn by oda Witch has only female characters on it and her Vivre card has her as Female and those are approved by Oda.

Could u not argue that the luffy doesnt need to be different as u purchased the character for gear 5 and gear 5 is a new type, new moves, completely different combos and has the capability to last the entire match if u play well

Not sure if it will go on sale as it has been since they are releasing new dlc, but I got Pirate Warriors 4 around a year and a half ago I think for 15$ on switch which included all dlc besides this one. That’s probably the most price effective.

That's the thing with Warrior's Game's(IE: Dynasty Warrior's), we don't play them for content REALLY. We play them for mindless fun, tbh, I can play a warrior's game for hours and not even think about it lol Same Missions, Same Character's, no thoughts just mayhem.
Edit: While I don't know how it is in Pirate Warrior's 4, usually, Warrior's game's have a difficulty setting that makes the game nearly impossible. Which is what all that grinding is for. In DW: Gundam 2 the max difficulty setting would have grunts CONSTANTLY knocking you down, bosses had the equivalent of like 10 health bar's, even at level 50 and maxxed out gear I had trouble.

Ughh looking at luffy gear 5 made me go back and finish up my bing from 2020. I just got to the 870's and wrapped up a major story line and I just love every single version of Luffy's transformations. Gear 5, being the most excited I have been for his conceptual presence

The only thing that bothers me about this game is the camera angles and when u are trying to hit someone it doesn’t always go in the direction u want. It got annoying. But other than that it’s another dynasty warriors game
