Thank you thank you. The shuttle bus is so awful I'd much prefer the Skyline. However it's not signposted and I always forget how to get to it. The airport information staff aren't very helpful. They always answer as if you're asking how to get to the train station. For some reason I suspect the Skyline is meant to be a secret.

Great videos and info! I’m flying Lufthansa into Graz to FRA and then into Boston with a 1.5 hr layover. Will i have enough time to to land in in terminal one and then transit to the duty free in terminal 2 and back to terminal one (assuming my flights are both in T1)?
Thanks for your comment ✈️👍😀 You have enough time to look at both Terminals. But you have to leave the Transit Area and go through Security each time.

I was just there. We stayed at the Marriott in Terminal 1 and our flight was from 2. Construction made this more difficult than it needed to be but the employees were clueless. The Skybridge is not in operation but we were told it was. When you come out of the hotel and need a lift to take you down, you are required to cross over the construction and can’t get back on ground level to catch the shuttle. I ended up waving 20 euros at the cab cue and getting someone to drive us to the other terminal. I will avoid FRA in future trips.
When the Skytrain is out of service, it really becomes difficult.
Hey, thank you so much for the video! I have a quick question, My mom will be arriving at FRA from Vilnius at T1 and will take a flight to Abu Dhabhi from T2. Her layover is around 4 hours at FRA. Will she have to go through Border Control/Immigration and Security when changing terminals? I'm asking because my mom is an Indian Citizen and will be visiting me in Paris (on a french schengen visa) for my graduation this month! Thank you for your help in advance :)

Thanks for the instruction, I really appreciate it. Might I ask, I have a flight from Berlin to Frankfurt with Lufthansa, then from Frankfurt I need to take another flight to Vietnam in Terminal 2. I have about 3:30 hours to take my checked luggage and check in again. Will 3:30 hour be enough ? Thanks a lot in advance

Hey, thanks for the video. Can you say how long the sky line ride alone takes? And everything all together?
First of all, thank you very much for your comment! For example, you need 16:30 minutes to get to Gate D26 if there is little going on at the security checkpoint. From Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 you need around 12:00 minutes if you have to wait for the train. If you can get in straight away, it's two minutes less. From entering the train until you get off again it takes about 3 minutes.

@@LawlySA For the skyline you have to calculate between 1:30 min and 5 minutes. That depends on how long you have to wait for the train. I wish you a nice day 😀✈️.

Thank you so much for the detailed video. For the first time I came to know about the Skyline. Can you please help me with one concern?
We have a flight from Berlin to New Delhi via Frankfurt on 6th of December and the layover in Frankfurt is just 1 hours and 45 minutes. Baggage are through checked in, we will arrive at FRA on Terminal 1 and our departure flight to New Delhi is from Terminal 2. Do you think the layover time is enough for us to make it through?
I am also unsure if we have to go through Border control and security check again. We hold and Indian passport and a German long term residence permit, if that helps in answering this question.
First of all, thank you for your subscription. That helps me alot. Well 1:45 hours is enough if your flight arrives on time from Berkin. It takes about 15 minutes to change the terminal if your suitcase is routed further. Just use the Skytrain, which will be available again from December 4th. once you have arrived in Terminal 2, you will need a maximum of 40 minutes for border control and security control. Which airline do you fly to India with?

My transfer is from terminal 1 to terminal 2, I have to collect my baggage and recheck. My campaniin have limited mobility so I have to take wheel chair, will 2 and half hour layover is sufficient

Hi 😀 thanks for your comment ✈️👍 well the fact that I took the second door from the Skytrain was pure coincidence. depending on how many people get on and off you need about 3 minutes.

Hi, my nationality is Indian, and I have a flight from Colombo to Calgary. The layover time is 7 hours. It lands at T2 terminal and will fly from T1. We will have to collect our baggage and check in again. Is there a separate transport for people with baggages or can we follow the way in this video?

I'm about to have my first departure from Frankfurt. Starting from Fernbahnhof where my ICE stops, could you show me the most optimal route to get to Terminal 2 Level 2 Area E?

Due to coming pretty early to the airport I'll have lots of time, besides I'm kind of good in instinctively finding the way around, but having some detail route is still better. Btw do you recommend Skyline rather than the bus?

Hi licosha, first of all thank you very much for your comment! Terminal 1 is divided into different areas. Only planes that belong to the Schengen area or have a separate agreement such as Switzerland, for example, fly from the A area. Most US flights depart from Z-Gates, etc. So if you already have a gate on your ticket, you can use it as a guide. You had another question about baggage claim. Did you mean where you can drop off your luggage with an airline? If you have any further questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

@@iflyforyoutv5888That's not true. He wouldn't have needed a transit visa to change terminals because he won't leave the airside space/International Transit Zone. The sky train offers service between both terminals...entering Germany would not be necessary...
@@miguelfraser Hi, there is no transit connection between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The train only runs between the NON Schengen areas Z, B, and C. You can also read about this on the Frankfurt Airport website

Hello, I also will fly to Croatia from Frankfurt. I am non-EU citizen. I dont have Germany Visa. Should I get ? My ticket says both flight in terminal 1. But lufthansa customer representative says it can change. Do changing terminal means going through passport control ? Jonson would you get visa for Gemany ?

@@veronicaruvalcaba5664 I took a look at the whole thing and because of the current temperatures I can recommend you to go in the air-conditioned Terminal 1 in the direction of the Skytrain and then drive in the direction of Terminal 2. From the long-distance train station to Terminal 2 you need a maximum of 30 minutes. It took me 18 minutes with my suitcase.
Never go for a short transfer, if possible book your flights with enough transfer time!! otherwise RUN!!!!!!! ;-)

@@HelloOnepiece Thank you for the information! You don't stay in the transit area, but it's still quick. If you're out after baggage claim, just go up one floor and you're already on the Departures level. From there it goes towards Terminal 2 as shown in the video. If you have a lot of luggage with you you can also use the elevators that are available. I hope I could help you.
