    Thanks for reviewing the Unofficial Supernote Obsidian plugin I built! I am glad it works well for you.

      Dude. Thank you for that. It's such a game changer! I think soon people will realize how convenient it is to seamlessly merge handwritten notes on e-ink and typed text in Obsidian.
      Foresee a great success for your plugin.

      Super helpful. It is the main reason I ended up going with Supernote

    Thanks for sharing your workflow.
    For me Obsidian is mostly the place to store atomic thoughts and correlations. So I take notes on supernote, formulate my thoughts thereafter on supernote and structure it with headings. This structured content goes to Obsidian notes and I connect it with existing notes. Sounds like a lot of double work, but in the end it provides the best quality of atomic notes and a process, where I can concentrate on connecting notes. So for me this process is straight forward, even without a supernote plugin.

      Thanks for the comment and this perspective. Your process sounds similar to how I used to process my paper notebooks in OneNote. It's probably how I would approach Obsidian without the plug-in (or for non-rtr notes) . For me, the real value is being able to bring in the raw recognized notes to cut down on editing time, while still having the visual notes there for reference. Again, thanks for sharing. This is exactly why I enjoy the community so much.

      @@Change-1820 I am wondering what can be done securely/privatel, I am thinkng real time recognition has issues with company related data, so I will not touch it until I can verify, would love a regulated/secure/private workflow

      @@CloudNativeJanitor I can't speak directly to the pass through to Obsidian, but can tell you that the handwriting recognition on the Supernote can be as secure as you want it to be. In fact, once it is loaded onto the device, you could disconnect from WiFi and stay completely offline. Unlike some other e-ink tablets, the handwriting recognition is not dependent on the cloud.

    Holy cow! This is exactly what I needed to make my Supernote useful! I was letting it collect dust because I didn't have a good way to get my notes into Obsidian, but this does exaclty what I need it to do! And it was dead simple to use the community plugin which worked just fine.

    Very good video. It would be great to see how you process your notes after they are in Obsidian. It’s great to get the note into Obsidian, but what you do afterwards is where the gold is. I use my Supernote at conferences because it’s the fastest way to write notes and record my thoughts during the conference. Where my system starts falling apart is my lack of follow-up.

    • @Change-1820

      Thank you for watching and the comment. This is a first video, I plan to make some more on how I use Obsidian. As I mentioned though, my way of processing is evolving and I want to get it solidified before sharing too much more. Using conference notes are a good way to illustrate this journey since it happens in a public space. I am always sensitive not to show information that is too personal or internal work information. Thanks again and keep the comments coming.

      I serve as a mediator and arbitrator. While my conference notes are, for the most part, not private, I do write notes from the conference that might mention or refer to information that must remain private, e.g. applying what I’m learning to an existing matter. I use obsidian for notes that I am willingto share in public, but not private and confidential info since I use plugins. For private and confidential notes, I use other nitrating apps.

    Also, the plugin should respect your Obsidian attachments setting- so it should send all of the PNGs to your attachment folder if configured.

    Do you know Obsidian can also be synced or used with Boox devices? I'm looking at the Go 10.3 and would like to sync to either Obsidian or ROAM, but prefer Obsidian.

    • @Change-1820
      @Change-1820  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comment and question. I am not sure about Boox devices with Obsidian. Supernote has a custom community plugin that works very well. I'm also not sure if having Google play would change anything.

    This was great! I am thinking in buying a super note for my pdf reading. Do you think you can export your highlights to Obsidian?

    • @Change-1820
      @Change-1820  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks for the comment and question. If you use comments, they embed in the PDF. If you write or use annotations, you would have to export the PDF to capture the writing and export the digest separately. So, yes but dependent on what you need.

    If you link the documents on the SuperNote, do those links pass through to Obsidian?

    • @Change-1820
      @Change-1820  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is a great question that I can try to test. My gut would say no though. Since Supernote doesn't export local links to PDF, I don't see how the plug-in would. Someone else in the community may know more.

    • @Change-1820
      @Change-1820  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@brendalg4 I don't see any way to do this except through exporting the PDF and having links (external only) be available in the PDF itself. The actual internal note links never work outside of the Supernote platform (apps and device) because they are tied to the location of the note or file, which doesn't exist on export. I hope this helps, but that is all I can figure out for now.

      Thanks for the comment and question. You can technically sideload OneNote (I did it for testing), but it was a horrible experience. The app is just not optimized for e-ink. The best implementations, and still not great from what I have seen, are on Boox and BigMe.
