Yea I’ve got a 5.56 pistol with a strike industries checkmate comp I believe it is and it’s absolutely insane The concussion coming off of it is crazy! But it’s fun to shoot! Man shit!!
More weight on the weapon and round - the better to compensate for recoil. Get the red dot + magnifier. Definitely get a front grip, run nomad L suppressor. These mods, weight distribution, heavier suppressor and heavier round make it a completely different gun. It turns the rattler into ‘is that a suppressed .22?’.
This is why Q nailed it with the Honey Badger. 5” barrel is just too damn short, cool as hell but 7” in a lightweight package beats 5” in a super heavy package any day.
ANR Design LLC the Rattler has a tapered barrel right? Definitely a cool weapon. Which weapon puts less gas in your face the Q or the Sig when suppressed?
Q less gas. But rattler wasn't designed for 100% dedicated suppression. Its purpose driven for a top tier 1 unit. Then sold commercially cause its cool
Great video,,I'm picking mine up tommorow. Question,,I too did paperwork to sbr, I want the folding stock . What backpack,,or bag would you recommend or have tried. Thank you
I have exactly the same question. I've found some camera backpacks/slings that accomodate Rattler well. Those are typically padded so that loops can be attached. Otherwise, the firearm will just dangle inside the bag.
I got an XCR 9.5" 300 BK barrel as the XCR-L is my current rifle, but I'm conflicted between it and the MCX as both come very close to each other by their features and what they have to offer. At least I can tune the blowback with multiple settings, complete gas cut-off still has enough pressure for the bolt to unlock and half-stroke with the SIG 7.62QD suppressor (same as in video)
Rattler a beassss. Have you tried the MI 10" handguard over srd 762 qd? I like the short look of the 1 port brake. Any problems w/ the brake or flashhider backing off after multiple mags? Happened to me on a 7.5 " p516 and the rattler. My concern is that it'll back of when the suppressor is covering it and make a real big mess
Yes, I have the same can. There is plenty of clearance in the QD blast chamber to allow the flash hider to attach the suppressor. While I haven't attached the three-point hider at the moment, the smaller QD break leaves plenty of spare room before the first baffle.
Haha cool video!! not to contradict you but it is not named the rattler because it will rattle your fillings loose, currently in the decision process of buying rhe rattler or the mcx virtus pistol, heading to sig pro shop this weekend with my final decision. You should make a video demonstrating the take down of the rattler no one that i have seen has done one yet! My decision on one of the 2 pistols will depend on how easily i can change calibers, if it is anuthing like the mcx virtus then i will definitely go Rattler with the size factor. But i do really like the options that the mcx virtus has!! Haha anyway great video again maybe you and i could get together sometime and do a combo video for yours and my channel if i got mcx virtus pistol we could do a comparison video...
I wish you guys would do a couple thousand rounds through a honey badger it intrigues me but not enough info about how reliable it is yet. I see a lot of stuff with the rattler so far all the reliability stuff is looking good might just grab one of these instead of the badger
We will be doing a follow-up with the honey badger. The gun honestly wouldn't function well in its original state during the filming of this video. Since then Q has made huge strides with the gun and its components. It has been rebuilt since this video was filmed and we will be doing one soon of the new components
IDK the laws in your area but in my state if you stick that in a bag loaded as a rifle (sbr) then you are breaking the law. As a pistol with a CC permit it would be legal to conceal it loaded. How many states allow loaded rifles or an SBR for that matter to be concealed?
I wonder what is would sound like with a Barking Spider on the end? how much muzzle flash at night...would a barking spider cut it sown? Please do a comparison video please.
I think the development of 300blk caliber was a wrong approach, it does not serve any known logical tactical purpose, although it's useful in covert operation as subsonic rounds, though with limited penetrating capabilities or terminal ballistics performance... to choose between pistol calibers rounds or rifle caliber rounds for short barrel rifle, its very difficult choice, because the pistol caliber rounds possess weak terminal ballistics performance especially beyond 100m, on the other hand, the rifle caliber rounds or the carbine caliber rounds, (5.56/5.45/7.62) when fired from short barrel rifle it loss large properties of its ballistic performance, or more specific can't squeeze the full potential of the rounds when it fired from short barrel rifle or any micro, the general ideas of chosing between pistol caliber rounds and assault rifle round is very complicated, personally, I think the solution is by designing new rounds suitable for exploiting all its potential and squeezing the rounds full energy from the barrel of SBR, in 5,56×45mm there is room for reducing the propellant powder and thus shorting the cartridge case to exploit the full potential of the round and the barrel.... I think the 300blk is similar to the Russian 9×39mm rounds, although the latter purposely is designed round, and possesses better terminal ballistics performance than 300 blackouts...
😂😂. I put an ACR Stock on my Scorpion. About to post a TH-cam video on it. Ultimate Scorpion Loadout. My Rattler is on my PWS SBR Lower. Selling off PWS Uppers to make $$ for a 11.5” 556 Virtus Upper.
I recently converted my MCX Rattler from 556 to 300 and added the Midwest Industries hand guard. My favorite firearm.
Great looking pistol, and thanks for the review. In case you are interested, the name Rattler is a nod to the Gadsden flag.
Thumbs up for the IRON MAIDEN shirt.👍🏻
I love mine! Perfect truck gun!
Jared Andrews I second that notion lol
Just SBRed it today
TheInformant _Doser_ anyways... go polish your dirt floors, Doser.
@Phil Meup yeah because regular pistols can shoot 300blk...🤦♂️

Same! Up The Irons! 🤘🏼😈🇬🇧
Can you do a review with your Rattler holster / retention system?
we should, shouldn't we.
@@ANRDesignLLC THAT is customer service. Thank you, Gents. Watch 'em fly off the shelf - nobody knows about it. Um, can you send me one to review? 😁

I do prefer the rattler. Fits in the glove box. Can cheek weld without getting stabbed

Arc'teryx makes a bag explicitly for this from their Leaf program. It is a shoulder bag. I also use a grey ghost gear bag right now and it fits great

Is it the way the brace is shaped or something? I have a MCX pistol and I could put a jack rock on the end of it and it wouldnt hurt when I fire it.

You should try the Noveske pig on it
I bought one for my sig m400 pistol build and love it on short barrels
Can you QD the can to the three port hider? Great video 👍🏻

I subscribed just because of the shirt you're wearing. Great content as well..🤘
Is that the standard SRD 762 or the Titanium? Also is it direct thread? I have the direct thread Inconel can in Nfa jail.
Standard
yeah buddy
Full review on just the Rattler?
Soon. Needs more rounds through it
Do they make the sig in 556?
No
They make the Virtus in 556 which is in the same family as the rattler
They do now

How’s the blowback, I know it’s windy but that sig can seems great.
Still gassy
Should have run subs to hear how quiet it is

Indiana does!
Why do you even need ear muffs with suppressed 300 blackout??
Because I'm shooting supersonic rounds not subsonic rounds
ANR Design LLC 💥 🎤 drop.
Also that sig single port brake is abusive. I have been on the line training when someone shot one on a 10 inch 556. It is painful on a short barrel.

They didn't name it the rattler because it's loud, they named it that after the snake on the Gadsden flag
LOL. false. The person that designed it is a close friend
Terrifyingly!
I like the MCX but I'm not a fan of that hand guard though.

Um. No. It's dirty and over lubed and a wet can..... normally not bad at all.

Does it hurt your little arm? Aww your poor shoulder you must have a bad boo boo on your poor snowflake tattooed arm. Awww
