Every year positions open, and you pick the specialty you want to train in these range from cardiac science, and histopathology to tissue typing and reproductive science. I think it will be difficult - but not impossible - to get in with neuroscience unless you apply for the neurophysiology pathway. I switched degrees from neuroscience to cellular and molecular medicine because of how limited my options were in neuroscience. It’s important to double-check the specific entry requirements for the specialism you are interested in, as some specialisms may have stricter criteria regarding the type of degree or relevant coursework needed. Additionally, gaining some practical experience or demonstrating knowledge in the area of the specialism you are applying to can strengthen your application.

I understand, I also considered changing my degree to something with more options but honestly, neurophysiology is probably the only specialty I genuinely find interesting and as far as I am aware, you can get in that specialty with neuro.
