Oh gosh, that's so helpful to know that there are particular doctorates that can contribute to the neuropsych qualification. I'm all for clearer info on the career pathways in neuropsychology too. It is desperately needed. I feel like there is so much mystery to this field and probably roles that I have no idea exist 🙈
Thank you. This was really helpful and informative. I am starting my 3year psychology degree this year and then looking to eventually go down the route of Neuropsychology.
Thank you for sharing this! Very exciting🙏🏼🔥 I am keen to get back to uni in a year to get enrolled in one of the neuropsychological courses at Cambridge
I looked on the Oxford website and I can’t find any bsc’s in neuropsychology or masters in neuropsychology. I also can’t find any Phd programs centered at neuropsychology. What would I need a bachelors in? What what I need a masters in? And what would I need a phd in? And what does “with a neuropsychology focus” mean? Is that a separate program?
The DClinPsy at Oxford has a special focus on Neuropsychology which, I think, also means that you fulfil some of the prerequisites for further postgraduate training in Neuropsychology. So, in order to specialise in Neuropsychology, you need to complete a postgraduate certificate or diploma after completing your DClinPsy whilst working in a relevant clinical setting. Universities which offer this postgraduate course include Bristol, Glasgow, and Salomans. UCL offer postgraduate training in paediatric Neuropsychology. I hope this helps!

Great to hear from people actually doing it! Thank you so much for sharing

Can u still become a neuropsychologist if u do not have a clinical psychology degree but have a psychology degree?😊
Yes u can!
could a MSc in Clincial Neuropsychology be beneficial for a future career in DClinPsy
If you have a 2:2 but if you have a 2:1 you don't need it and should simply get a year of paid experience instead if you don't have it already
Ma'am psychology is an art or science please tell me
science usually
science.
It's grounded in the scientific method 😊
