Day in the Life of a Japanese Housewife in Tokyo
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 23 ก.ย. 2024
- This is a day in the Life of Japanese Housewife raising a Japanese Kid in Tokyo with Husband. This Japanese family shares their life in Japan and life in Tokyo for an entire day. We follow a Japanese mom and her soon to be 3 year old Japanese daughter inside their Tokyo home to see what they do in the morning all the way until the evening when they go to sleep. Tomomi, 38 years old and child, Karin almost 3 years old spend most of their day in their Tokyo apartment, but they also find some time to leave the house and go to the park. This Japanese family does many typical Japanese family things like make miso soup in the morning and make offering to their home shrine, but they also have their unique aspects of their life. They were kind enough to let us into their Japanese home to see what it is really like being raised in a Japanese home. This day in the life of mom and housewife, should give another perspective on how life in Japan would be if you lived here. I hope you enjoy this video.

What about the husband? After six he never came Back
Do husband and wives say I Love you?
Could you make ‘day in life with a Covid-19 patient’ video
Can we just take a minute to appreciate that the narrator does not judge the family at all?
He comments everything in a neutral way. Many journalists and moderators/presenters could learn from him. Great video!
Shut up
Totally agree
If most of journalists aren't being neutral or being objective, they could get filed a lawsuit
Try understand the journalistic principles before you presume
@@felixarsene9510 principles are ideas... they represent how things SHOULD run but of course that is often not the case
@@felixarsene9510 I did not say 'most' I said 'many', which might have offered too much interpretation possibilities. A lot of texts, videos and audio I found in the last few years that should be neutral were not. Not in an obvious way like "I think ..." or "you should do .." or "this is better than...". Often they did it in subtle ways, if you don't especially look on it you easily will take the opinion of the author without wanting it. A way many authors did this (maybe subconscious) was with some adjectives that are judging, but not too obvious or if it was audio their tone was already pursuading.
I am not saying all of them were trying to manipulate, I guess they rather did it subconsciously. I also realized it with a lot of the papers I had to write. Many of them had the same "problem" and I did not even realize it until someone told me.
I admire how she is raising her daughter. You can tell she already respects Karin as an individual with their own needs and interests. She asks her if she likes the outfit instead of just forcing her to wear something, she feeds Karin's curiosity and desire to do things for herself like put on her own shoes, and even when she is working she will stop to pay attention to Karin if Karin wants to interact. She really prioritizes her.

That's what I thought 🤔
Japanese people don’t age until they hit about 60 then they get hit by a fucking age truck lol
i thought she was 25 like dang
Yuh lol
@@MattW05 Russians*
She looks like a mom in her twenties, it doesn't show that she is almost 40.
Make up tends to do that
@RZ asmr I get their point was that asians look younger, but the point still stands. It might not show that a lot of these people look older because of makeup.
@@MicroHippo123 actually, make up makes you look a lot older not younger
@@allyalbu3800 When you take it off it makes you look older sure, but while you are wearing a inch thick mask, all those wrinkles and imperfections are hidden, making you look younger
I look similar and im 40 in a few months. I have a vegan diet and do not go in direct sun
Karin is such an adorable kid and she has lovely parents, especially a great mom💖 I wish them the best!
6:06 when Karin grabs the cat, how cute 🥺
I'm surprised the cat didn't try to scratch her most cats can be a little on the pissy side

Being a housewife is such an underrated job..
@@mansamusa8191 depends on how you look at it, in my context, the pay is good successful offspring that will contribute to society, because mothers are very important for a family's well-being, they take control, manage and care about every day activities at home, serving as household managers for the family, thus why it's a very underrated job/occupation especially mothers who juggles between jobs and caring for their children..

I swear there are only like 4 ages for japanese people: baby, highschooler, 20's, then suddenly you're 80 have grey hair and wrinkles.
Agree 🤣🤣

I refuse to believe she is 38 years old bro. Japanese people can become immortal with how young they tend to look!
i mean... asians are basically immortal hot gods.. until they hit 60 and then its instant 100 years old

Its inspiring that she is 38 years old and got her Baby at 35. I turned 30 this year and feel so old already 🙈😅
hahaha
I thought i was the one one that did the calculation lool I am so hopeful now
Don't worry about it too much, my mother had me at 39 and I actually think it made her a better mother because she had more life experiences and was a lot more relaxed than the mothers of my friends that were much younger
31 and nothing close to family here, I feel you. Older people still call me young but 20 year olds think I’m ancient. It’s a weird age lol
Search for worldofmeters on Google. It shows many numeric informations about countries including average age of women having kids. Pretty sure japan's average age for woman having kids is the highest of the world, about 35 years old
Karin as a 3-year-old: Knows technology, can feed herself, understands cultural courtesy and is learning English.

The booger thing is so funny Hahaha

No but really, I was in japan for almost a month last year. Almost no crime.
I believe you also have to get them registered kinda like a car so it’s traced back to you. I assume if it gets stolen (unlikely) that it’s pretty easily findable.

When the mother said:”Don’t underestimate TH-cam.” She was telling the truth, as the reason why I know English was because of TH-cam its weird that TH-cam taught me more then school... btw I learned English at 4 and was able to speak and translate at 6.
yeah my country is seriously outdated, it keeps thinking only the mainstream education system works and looks down on the internet, when our education system joined PISA we were dead last, when our Department of Education surveyed the teenagers they said it's because they were too focused on games and weren't studying enough...I don't think so
thats so true! learned english by watching smosh lolol
When I was 4 TH-cam didn't even exist lol (or good internet connection for that matter). But yeah, I also learned more English on the internet than at school. It's not like my teachers were bad, they're pretty cool, but having interest in this language and being a freaking weeb helped out a lot.
So, hurray for the internet!
How old are you now?
I mostly learn english at tv when i was young. youtube didn't exist back then
Japan: surprisingly declining rates of birth every year
Also Japan: not enough nurseries for the demand
Dude, what?!
Reikotsu It is very expensive to give birth in Japan. That’s why most families only have one child.
@@Casandra-jz5iq so thats the problem of population japan should do something instead of looking for foreigners not trying to be mean but japan needs to be on its own culture
@aguadelparaiso Child birth is NOT covered under the national health insurance (bizarre for a country that desperately wants more children, I know) But each prefecture/ward will provide a sum of money to help partially cover some of the cost (some, not all, you're still gonna have to fork over some yen$) . Pain management such as epidurals, laughing gas or medication is also an added 'luxury' that will have to be paid out of pocket and it is not offered at every clinic/ hospital and even then it's normally offered at 'office hours' (9am-5pm Monday to friday) so better hope your labour doesn't start on a Saturday night -.-'''' The price of childbirth in Japan fluctuates on where you are and what hospital you are registered to give birth with but it's rarely 'Cheap', it's at the very least gonna cost you a months rent.
@@LiuBei661 The implication somebody immigrating to Japan can't adopt and adapt to Japanese culture is pretty racist or the idea that they'll somehow delude or take away from Japanese culture is equally racist. The majority of migrants of Japan tend to people from China, the Philippines, and Korea or Japanese living in diaspora in countries such as Peru or Brazil.

@Karl with a K ok first of all, japan was completely cut off from the rest of the world for 200 years. it didnt have all the exposure to outside countries who had different ideas like america did. you say its 22 years behind yet it is much safer, much more organized, much cleaner and has brought so much to the world. also americas population is roughly 26 times the size of japans, so like if you wanna talk development then try to use your brain- everything happens 26 times faster in america.
