Yes it could. It’s inexpensive compared to others too.
Although the Dirty Dog Cargo Liner is more expensive, it does offer more protection for the side doors and the back of the front seat. Pros and cons for both.

Hey Randy, Yeah, for the price, it is better than nothing. For my use case scenario, I liked having the coverage provided for the side doors and back seat by the DirtyDog Cargo Liner.

Depending on cost and durability.. For my use hauling photography gear around, I bought a carpet runner from Canadian Tire and I custom cut to fit including the 60/40 splint for the back seats. Velcro is very easy to add for the back of the seats if you want it to stay attached when seated are folded back up. This can easily be done in both JK and JL.

I ended up getting the WeatherTech cargo area mat. It doesn't protect the sides or the back of the seat, but it's real simple to install and it looks custom. I don't need the sides protected at this time. I also don't like that the RT-TCZ liner covers the rear speaker and doesn't look very custom.

Be carful with RT-TCZ. I placed an order with them directly. The shipped a plastic toy. The UPS tracking number they provided matched what the actual box says, but RT-TCZ tells me I got the right product. They tried to prove that by including pictures of a box from some guy in Florida (how they have an open box picture from some guy is intriguing). They are in China (Hong Kong).

I received a kid version of a metal detector toy and not the cargo liner as ordered. Order UPS tracking number from them matches the label on the actual delivered box. Go figure.
