Informative video. One thing you left out and most people do, on the dash if you pull out those rubber pads it has mounting locations for accessories that the old JL’s did not. That was one thing that Jeep said people wanted so they included screw holes for mounting.
The earlier JL’s had two bolts that you could remove and use to secure accessories, but I understand what you’re saying about mounting points. Make sure to watch next week’s video. Thanks for sharing.
Great job pointing out the subtle but significant differences. Many of my current mods on my 2021 would be obsolete on this. I’d have to find other solutions. This has to be driving aftermarket manufacturers nuts. Lol
Thank you for the feedback on the video. Actually, my next few videos will be on mods that have been adapted to the changes, so be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss them. Thanks. Cheers.
Great video! I've had to be careful ordering accessories for my '24 JL for the reasons you mentioned in this video. I found the storage boxes behind the shifter still works well, but the rear cargo area ones don't as you pointed out. Great examples! I would also like to point out with the upgraded dash, the vents and buttons area that is now pushed out a little more than the previous model year, is actually very close to the manual shifter now on the 6-spd. It took me a little getting used to, and the first few times I drove it kept hitting the hazards.
The kraken under seat on board air kit won’t work with the power seats. But they will sell you just the pieces you need to adapt to the seats so you can use your arb kit to this model
After watching this informative video, I’m so happy with my current JL since most of those changes mentioned, well, I really don’t like them. I am happy with my 8.4 radio as the middle center up light with 4 different directions, I installed a mopar hoodlock, piece of mine for me…I will happily wait until next generation to see what is really new!
Informative video. One thing that you can’t use on the 2024 is a GMRS mic mount on the front grab bar on the passenger side. Losing those two bolts kind of sucks. I’m trying to figure out where to put my mic holder now. Also, under the seat mounts for air, compressors and air couplers have changed.
I do like the front grill and I ordered one from distinction applied. Definitely like the old grab handle on the appear more angular. Definitely love the center console on my old one that was colored to the Rubicon. Also, the rear seats used to have the molle Pattern so you can put accessories there. They’re gone on the new one.
Nice work sir ! Very informative. I am all for the new changes that Jeep made except for the antenna being in the windshield. I personally prefer that they kept the normal style antena that they used prior.
Hey James, The antenna in the windshield has its advantages, but inevitably one may be faced with replacing the windshield, and now they will be a little more expensive because of that antenna. I read some place that the wiring is still in place at the old location but I can’t remember or find that source. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Great video Dino! I moved to 2024 too. Had a sting gray 2020 Sahara before. There are some more changes that you want to add to these list. The passenger side grab handle is now one large integrated panel, there is no provision to install ball mounts and cb radio mounts like before by just removing the 10mm bolts. This change also makes it super hard to get behind the cigarette lighter port to extend it for another ACC triggered accessory. Cheers!
Hey Graywolf.overland, Thanks for the info. Check out the link in the description to the RT-TCZ web site. They have some grab bar mounts for the 2024s I think. Cheers
Is it me or do the plastic cladding for the speakers behind the front row seem... smaller? I always bump my head on those trying to get in and out of the 2nd row seats, at least in the 2019 version.
I am sure you are aware that the little rubber mats on the center of the dash can be removed and have mounting holes for accessories like phone mounts.
Hey Bob, yes, I am aware, I haven’t looked yet to note if they are in different locations or not, but that centre hump that is there now will make some existing accessories unusable. I have a really cool one that I’m going to feature in the next video. Cheers
Great video! We have a 2024 JLU Rubi X on order. In your video it looks like you have a built-in tailgate table. I can see the piano hinge at the bottom in the video. It looks factory. Is this a factory item or something you built or installed?
Hey Gary, Thanks for the feedback on the video. I’m loving my 2024 Rubicon X, and I made a couple videos including one on that tailgate box/table. Feel free to check them out. I have more coming, so be sure to subscribe. Cheers
That would have been a excellent example for me to use in the video. Thanks for sharing. I looked at the RT-TCZ website, and I noticed that they do have a solution for that now.

I like that green color in your new Jeep! Congratulations Dino 🎉
Thank you. I really like it too. When the light is low, the green looks darker and that’s when it’s out. It’s best to my estimation. Cheers.
@ 11:52 the discount code - you say CJTV10 but thats CJT10 in the description. Great review though Dino. cheers
Hey Patrick,
Good catch. I fixed it. Thanks.

@@CheaperJeeperTV Looking forward to seeing them! Thanks!
Lots of people returning products because they don't fit.
Great video! Thanks, Dino! Really liked the walk through of the details and preserving the safety features!
Thanks. Cheers.

Ahhh. Good point to share. Thanks!

That’s an excellent example of how the electric seats make certain mods unusable. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Great video Dino! Thanks for walking us through the changes.
Hey Jay,
Thank you for the feedback. Very much appreciated. Cheers.

I’m glad you found the video helpful. Cheers.

Thanks
Thanks so much for all the new updates, Dino. Congrats on your new Jeep.
Aww. Thank you very much. I am really loving this one. Cheers
Another changes was that they moved the speakers above more forward and for taller people, you now hit your head.
Good point! Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Wow, I had no idea there were so many changes. Very informative and interesting video!
Hey Randy, thanks for the feedback on the video. Always appreciated. Cheers.

Yeah, it’s disappointing to see the Molle panels on the rear of the front seats gone.
I have a 22 extreme Rubicon also in the Sarge green
It’s one of the best colours. 😆
Nice work sir !

Informative as usual and interesting to watch to compare with parts that I already have on my JLU 2021... Great video, thanks Dino!
You are welcome. Thanks for the feedback on the video. Cheers.
Subtle changes. Nice that they have side curtain airbags now. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Thanks for the feedback on the video. Cheers.
Thanks for the update Dino.
Hey Jeff,
You are welcome. Cheers.

Do they ship to Canada?
Yep. 👍
Thank you brother! Good stuff as always. Just wondering if the 2024 hardtop(body/frame) also changed
I didn’t notice or hear of anything different in that regard. Cheers.
great video buddy 👍 keep on making them.
Hey Joe,
I appreciate the feedback on the videos.
Keep on making them. 😆
Cheers

I always bump my head on those trying to get in and out of the 2nd row seats, at least in the 2019 version.
To me they just seem to be shaped differently. 🤷🏻♂️
We know how well those work out.......hahahaha loved that
I was wondering if anyone would like that one. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers.
What steps did you put on your Jeep Rubicon X? I really like them.
These ones...amzn.to/4d2njm7

Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions has updated their Rubirack system to accommodate the 2024 dash changes. Fits like a glove.
Nice. Thanks for sharing that.
Cheers.
Glad I grabbed a couple of 23 models the 24 is still looking good but there are some things I'm not a fan of.
A couple of 23 models? Lucky you!😆
Cheers
Some people mount their cb mics to the grab bar too. That is no longer an option
Hey Jendell Overland, the folks at RT-TCZ have a bunch of new accessories for that grab bar. Feel free to check it out. Cheers.

Gotta love modern engineering and design philosophy: "Give them a bigger TV screen".
🤷🏻♂️
The popular grab handles that wrap around the sport bar shouldn’t be used either, same as the sun shades, would block the airbags.
That would have been a excellent example for me to use in the video. Thanks for sharing. I looked at the RT-TCZ website, and I noticed that they do have a solution for that now.
Hey Dino, could you do a video of Lenny (your dog) modifying your new hat like he did your old Jeep hat? Just an idea LOL
LOL...Brilliant!!!
Thanks for the subscriber tip for next week's video!! 😄
Cheers my friend!
