As Jabba is a flemish giant rabbit, her human needs to put much more effort into taking care of her during the molting season than she would need to for common bunnies.
However, taking care of molting rabbits is not just much work for their owners
Actually, people can have fun with it! you will see that after you watch this video.
Because Jabba's molting lasted about 2 months this year, It took us about 2 months to make this video as well! We really tried hard for making this video so,

My rabbit just went through a molt and it was unreal! The birds enjoyed the fur for their nests though

I ‘donate’ my bunny’s fur to the local birds too! We have humming birds who visit us.
I brushed my buns outside and the birdies grabbed the fluff

I've been collecting the fur of my bunny's molts for about 3 years. Recently I had enough to fill a handmade decorative cushion with it. It's embroidered with a bunny image, and now it has real fluff inside.

All 3 of my mini lops are molting at the moment, I love to put the shedded fur outside so birds can use them in their nests :)

One small correction: rabbits actually moult 4 times each year, but usually you only notice 2.
Hello! :D I think rabbits with short fur like Rex rabbits could be good for your situation. And thank you for the correction! you might be right. When I searched about rabbit molting for making this video, I read some articles saying outdoor rabbits do heavy molt 2 a year, and indoor rabbits might molt more often, and it really depends on their environment. (I should have put that information here, sorry! ) My friend said lop bunnies molt 4 times a year for sure though!

It's a vit strange; when we first met I had 4 house-rabbits, including a French lop. Not as large as your Jabba, but still a big fella! 😀
When he died we even went to find a new mate for his 'widow' together.
Anyway, we (my son and I) will try to find a way to get some bunnies anyway 😎.
Oh, and as for moulting: one of ny first bunnies only molted once every year. That lastest 12 months, though 😉

I use my bunnies molt to needle felt.
Wish my bunny Benjamin would sit like that and let me pluck his molting fur. He doesn't like it one little bit. He is a Netherland dwarf.

my bun has a very long fur and we have to brush her to help her during the molt - and during the year in general. We're currently making a scarf out of her fur. She really doesn't like being brushed, because her fur is so thin, it tangles really quick and we have to pull a bit to brush her u_u Although sometimes it comes very easily like on your video haha

You definitely need to be careful when grooming a bun. My female rabbit, who is around 10-12 and has very delicate skin, had a knot of fur on the bottom of her tail so when I pulled it off, I guess I wasn’t careful enuf and her skin came off with it! 😰😨🤬🥺. She acted like nothing happened, rabbits r good at hiding pain, but imagine how I felt?! My poor girl but took her to the vet and it’s all healed up now. Lesson learned
