I don't know if someone suggested this already, but you can paint a swatch of your touch-up paint on a piece of paper, and take it to Home Depot or Lowe's paint department and scan the paint swatch to match it with their spectrophotometer. ☺️

You really have inspired me to do our projects for the house! We've been planning for so long to do stuff like this, and never did because we thought it would be too expensive for a house we wouldn't live in for too much longer. Thanks so much for sharing all your content!
I'm so glad you're inspired to freshen up your space! I definitely understand the struggle of not wanting to do too much when its all temporary, but we really enjoy making our house a home even if we can only enjoy it for a few years! And we still plan on taking most of these DIY's with us when we move! The molding can be used again in a new space and so can these shelves!

If you were using that long drill bit, without any guide, they might not have been straight and therefore got hung up. This is a great way to float shelves. Best way is use a drill press - or find someone who has so those holes would be perfectly straight. But good for you for persevering.

Wow wow wow!! I have loved seeing the sneak peeks on Instagram but they didn't do justice for the final look!!! LOVE how this turned out! Very crisp, sharp and elegant! Great job y'all!!! I can't wait to see which room you do next. Honestly, its hard for me to choose which room for you to do next. Ultimately I really want to see the guest room makeover however since you just did a really decent sized makeover I would say to do the half bath next! That way you can give yourself a small break from doing all the big makeovers in a row. SUPER EXCITED EITHER WAAAAY!

Ahhh Erin so glad you think all the work was worth it! It's satisfying to have the room pulled together, but even better hearing that y'all loved to see the process! As of right now I'm leaning towards taking it easy for next month and just doing a makeover on our powder bathroom! It's a smaller space, but I still have a couple fun DIY ideas!

Brava! I love the simplicity but it is clearly thought out and well-designed. (The original Swiss chairs yours are patterned after are over $1200 each, but are beautifully designed and made and worth every penny if you want to save up and have them for the long haul!)

The floating shelves with all those breakable items horrify me since we’re in earthquake central in CA 😂 but luckily the ones I’ve been through have never been major but I’m always skeptical of putting delicate items on floating shelves for that reason. But the dining room turned out amazing!!
That would be a problem 😂 Thankfully we don't think were in a really dangerous place with earthquakes, but even if something happens I wouldn't cry over any of these things breaking :)

You should be able to take that paint to Home Depot or Lowes and they have a computer system that can match it and tell you the name and brand 😉
So smart! I'll have to look into that when we're getting ready to move out in a few years! We're gonna need lots of paint to put the house back to it's original state 😂
