LOVE the artwork but you should frame it in a thin reddish frame to pull the color off the chairs. You can trim the bush outside just enough to allow more light in. This will not damage the bush and the landlord will not notice if you are strategic about it. Love the lamp! You have me googling Herman Miller lighting! Finally, a smoky mirror placed above the bar cart will bring more light in and relate to your beautiful metal dining table. You can find another wall for that artwork ;)
These suggestions are on point! I will add that the table looks much better without the tablecloth, and that the room would benefit from adding another light source, like a small lamp or candle wall sconces. In fact, why not lean into a more moody, yet still minimal, kind of look, instead of forcing that light and airy aesthetic? Just a thought!
@@ethangaskillso cute every adding their thoughts super respectfully and with very creative suggestions. It wonderful watching people lovingly decorate their space. Please continue sharing Ethan!
Love this so much! Great style choices. Only thing I would change is a frame on the print and putting a runner on the table/something that doesn't cover up all the lovely metal instead of the cloth!
I found out about your TH-cam channel yesterday and I just can't stop watching your content. You have an incredible taste in interior design and a great eye for thrifting. I'm really looking forward to watching your channel grow cause your content has both the quality and potential. Much love from Türkiye! 🩷
Hey Ethan I see you and u r just like me with the apartment decoration. I enjoy it just like u do.❤I’m born July 1 and u the 6 that’s had to do with the month of the year. I enjoy my home so much as well 😊
Since the metal table is so cool maybe instead of covering the whole thing with a table cloth just a nice table runner to bring more fabric and “warmth” without covering the entire table. Or fabric placemats. Just discovered this channel and love your content!
I actually thought the black table with the chairs looked stunning. I feel it was a sweet balance with the carpet. And the chairs went with the wood in the room. The table cloth is very pretty and warm. But i think it would still look very beautiful without the tablecloth. Beautiful work!
I am drinking out of that very same black glass coffee mug as I watch this video! 😂 It was left by the previous owners of the house in Germany we bought a couple of months ago and we found it in a fancy french picnic set which then became the only dishes we used while we were still renovating and not fully moved in. I love them!
I love your style! I think I'd definitely add more plants near the windows and artwork on the walls. Also, personally I get really tired of talking heads, so I'd suggest doing more voiceover and having more B-roll, But anyway, I see you just started your channel and it seems like it's gonna be a good one ;)
New here and love your style of video and home. Would’ve loved to see longer coverage of the finished product. I blinked and twice had to replay to see the reveal. 😄
A good start, that light is worth the hassle, for sure. ...things to make it better - Mirrors. especially in a horizontal orientation. a floor Lamp in the corner, another on a small table. More art, a very large piece, and a frame for that nice piece you bought. You could buy a big giant cheap thing and paint over it with the exact colors you want in a Mondrian style perhaps. Glass decanters, and a large glass bowl on the table.
Ethen, you are a Cutie, your Dining Room is on its way to looking good but, the Art Print definitely Needs TO BE PUT INTO A REALLY MASCULINE BIG SIZE FRAME TO GIVE IT ITS GLORY! I Also LOVED The Snowman Salt & Pepper Shakers. The Star for The Tree Topper Is Magnificent! I Really Enjoy Watching Your HOME BECOME “A HOME” Instead Of Just A House. Not to be creepy but I can see we live in the same neighborhood so thank you! I’ve never been to bts thrift. Also you’d love Santa Monica antique flea market if you haven’t been. ♥️
I'd love if u spoke a little less or maybe more voice over and take us thru the thrift stores when u go to them, even if u don't end up buying anything... Like things u found interesting mayb
You're good looking and all but I prefer more footages of the makeover + listen to your voiceover and less seeing you talk? I hope it doesnt come of as rude. Love the space tho!

I literally thought this channel had like at least a million subscribers. Shocker you haven’t blown up yet. You are literally my favorite inspo!
Thank you so much!! A million subscribers would be crazy. Maybe one day 🤞🏼
Please, I would frame for you that screen print. It's so beautiful it deserves an amazing frame!
It does! Trying to figure out how I'd want it to be framed/what style to go with.
Frame the art, add more art, and add a floor lamp or a lamp on top of the bar area! I love the rug, and everything you've done so far!
Loooove the lithograph and of course the Herman Miller light fixture!
Shout out to YT recommendations- I just discovered your channel today and I loved this makeover.
Ahhh so glad to have you here! Hope you enjoyed it.
@@ethangaskill I would love to purchase the painting above your bed, if you intend/willing to sell.
Love this so much! Great style choices. Only thing I would change is a frame on the print and putting a runner on the table/something that doesn't cover up all the lovely metal instead of the cloth!
I would hang a long thin wooden shelf all along the empty wall for some knicks knacks, and you can even put hooks under it for mugs or whatever
The Nelson pendant is giving my chills. LOVE!
Stunning!
The lights fixture is beautiful
Love the overhead light. Good choice indeed.
Muy bonito! Precioso!
obsessed with the light fixture

Love that light. So worth the trouble! ❤
You are darling! So informative! Thank you for your channel! I just stumbled upon it and I am thoroughly enjoying it!
Loose the table cloth, your table has so much character and an amazing centre piece would be so beautiful on that table.
Omg yes yes yes, so excited about your channel. Exactly the content I’m needing rn, I’m shocked you don’t have half a million subs already??
Hahaha thank you! Maybe one day 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Fantastic job, the light fixture adds so much to the room😍
I vibe with your style a lot. I LOVE IT
beautiful transformation, especially that print. it's so unique.
Thank you so much! I felt so lucky to find it
This channel is gonna blow up soon

Love this! Where is the candle dish in your background from?

Loved the simplicity, perfection. Also, can I just say, it's quite surreal watching you as you look SO much like my husband's nephew. 🧐 Take care.
I think placemats or runners on the table would let the coolness of the table show. Maybe some baskets to soften it. The lithograph is so cool.
Found you through Lone Fox. Love your channel.

Supercool vintage-y vibe!
I used to have one of those candles but in a different color. They were really big in the 70s.
Great job! I live in the Palms area so I knew all those spots lol.
It looks incredible! Just make sure you get a frame for that lithograph :)
I love how the tablecloth falls into the "corners" of the table.
Black cups, I think everyone in France had them in the 1990s. I really like your tastes.
Add a mirror on the wall to help bounce more light!
What was the french brand of coffee cups? loved the update of your room
I just discovered your channel, I love your content! The Ikea rug is an amazing statement piece, I love it
Thank you! Glad you're loving the content.
It looks so cute but why did you hide the table? It’s so pretty
Hi Ethan. New to your channel as a subscriber. Love, love, love everything about your style. I am looking forward to more content.

Those Arcoroc mugs are everywhere and the cheapest things you can buy new.

The lithograph is giving M. C. Escher vibes!
Love your style and I’d love to see you talking during the makeover steps rather than narrating.

Love before and afters. Thanks. What was your first meal in your new dining room?
Tacos! Haha

Beautiful I think your so cool
ngl I thought this rug was hideous, but it looks great in your space and makes sense with the other elements.
very cool
Love the vibe ❤
looks awesome. would’ve appreciated more bts vids compared to a sit down
I found your channel 3 days ago. I think you'd like an artist named BOYTCHIE. His work looks like your type of vibe
Your fixture is hung too high and so the print, just place it where you think it should go and lower it slightly is a good rule to remember .

Too much talk
Too much rambling
Yea. He should just get naked 😜
Well in my opinion some plants make any room feel more lively and soften the geometry of the room... (if placed in the corners) 🪴
Yeah I definitely need to add in more plants all around my home
