A lot of us like him because of his interactions with the other characters as well as this unique personality he has,which regardless of if it is that way because of messy writing or not,it comes of as extremely relatable to introverted people as well as neurodivergent people (like myself) who are naturally a bit awkward when it comes to socializing and interacting with people. His "hyperfixations" with games and his aloofness further add to this. That's the main reason, all the other things (aesthetics, win streak,love triangles etc.) are either completely indifferent or just complementary to why he is liked. Also the fact he was so nice to most people he interacted with was kind refreshing to see because most of the time characters that aren't very social are potrayed as downright rude so having a kind, compationate character with these characteristics was refreshing. That's why most us really disliked his beef with Fiore in All-stars,it just tied him to the stereotype of the not-social person
I agree to everything you said but in regards to his beef with Fiore what pisses me of the most is how inconsistent it is with his character. In s2 he was so strategic,he kept Yul because he was hateable so that he and the girls would be safe,why wouldn't he do the same with Fiore? It's just feels like a set up to boot him early to give Ally some solo time. I guess she needed it but still it doesn't make sense for Hunter to act like that and as fan if that character I can't say I am content with how he was handled in dcas.
@@ace-gn3ck there's a massive difference between Yul and Fiore Fiore is a literal child who is essentially dead weight on their team and limits them from winning challenges (which they need to do in order to last longer till the merge) Obviously that wouldn't sit well with Hunter
Everything you said,I am autistic and related a lot to him and his behaviours throughout s2 and in all stars! Also his conversation with Tess about depression is my favourite scene from the entire show. I love that the dcas writers didn't forget this storyline. I wish he had more screentime in all-stars but I still love him regardless. If Hunter ever gets a spin off I wish we actually see his mom and maybe a bit of his past and how he grew up.
as someone who hcs hunter with audhd and i’m also autistic as well, this comment lightened me up and the main reason i really like him is because of how much i relate to his personality and his interactions with the characters too (like tess and ally for example). socially awkward with a hard time communicating but also super sweet and caring to the people you care about. even if introverted, having those very kind characters who can get along with many people is definitely refreshing to see and that’s what i love about hunter the most. like his talk to Tess about her depression was very heartwarming to me.
