    Super content!
    Tip of the day (at 42:00): the fuel tap has 3 positions: ON - PRI - RES. If you want to fill the carbs, just turn it to PRI. In this position the fuel can pass the fuel tap without vacuum (it becomes a "normal" tap). Furthermore you can use it to drain the fuel tank or the carbs too, without major action.
    (If you knew that, just wantetd to test the vacuum connection, ignore this - but anyway, it may be some help for anybody reading it.)

      You are absolutely right! Why havent I thought of that duh.. great tip! Ill remember that the next time I need to empty the tank.

      What would happen if I remove the PAIR system and plug all the vacuum lines on the carbs and petcock? Have you done that? Thank you!

    I found if i attach carbs to the airbox first, and then slide them both in it fits much easier and quicker. Just my findings. I also attach cables before i do all that. I found that works well for me..

    Been working on carb for kaw vulcan past few days, and found video very insightful 👍. I can tell you with confidence the scratches on your throat edges on both sides are from someone removing carbs and pushing a screwdriver through the boots to wedge out as its a tight fit. Thanks again. Would have loved to see the inside diameter of your replacement pilot jet.

    I found 2 issues:
    1. Left carburetor filling valve was overfloating, which caused mix a way to rich. Cleaning it helped nothing, and I had to bent valve support rod a little bit to close earlier.
    2. My version has Secondary Air System. Here a valve membrane was ruptured, causing right carburetor sucking false air.
    Must have! : fuel filter, otherwise some day petcock plus carburetor together will perform a fuel dump at the midnight 😑

    Good vid - I just serviced one of those (A nice one with 12,000 miles and full service history with Valve clearances (0.20mm exhaust & 0.15mm inlet , new fuel diaphragm, oil, coolant, plugs, carb strip, clean, sinc and balance - The coolant tubes were a bit tough to get right as I had to twist them back straight and clean the cylinder head holes in order for the O rings to work properly, (Due to slight damage caused taking them off), and I had to pack out the inlet boot fasteners with a few wraps of neatly folded kitchen foil into strips in order to get a good tight squeeze on the inlet boots via the fasteners - Then, a few turns with the pilot jets and off she goes.

    Hej. Hvor købte du løse "diaphragms" henne af? Jeg har nemlig også en som er revnet. Har dog lappet den med flydende pakning og det virker dog ganske udmærket.

      Hej Kasper
      De er købt over ebay i UK. Jeg tror også min/mine var lappet med noget pakning, men mener jeg gav 100,- pr. Stk plus fragt, hvilket jeg 1000 gange hellere vil give end det går i stykker på en køretur.

    Hvordan har rammen klaret sig noget tid efter du malede den? Overvejer at gøre det samme på min egen ER, når nu jeg har den i stykker

    • @MLWAM
      @MLWAM 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Det er sjovt du skriver, jeg er ved at lave en opdateringsvideo på de dele jeg har malet. Jeg vil klart anbefale man IKKE bruger sprayfolie, på rammen, da de steder man har spildt benzin eller kørt over med en fugtig mikrofiberklud har mistet farven/opløst.
      Det er nemmere at se i videoen jeg lægger ud. Hvis du har det hele skildt ad vil jeg anbefale en 2komponent spray. Den har jeg til gengæld haft massere succes med på forgaflerne.

    • @Loger01
      @Loger01 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MLWAM Jeg tror jeg dropper det så, har malet bag rammen bare med primer og mat maling, men det holder nok ikke ordenligt til den udsatte del af rammen

    • @MLWAM
      @MLWAM 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Loger01 lyder som en god idé, vil dog anbefale 2komponent maling til rammen, hvis det skal gøres.

      @@MLWAM Er det kun pilot jet som skal justeres 1 1/4 omgange ud, hverken main jet eller needle jet har nogen justering? Bare så jeg har fat i den lange ende :)

    • @MLWAM
      @MLWAM 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Loger01 Ja, hvis du mener air fuel mixture screw eller den som hedder Pilot Screw i manualen, som skal 1 1/4 ud hvis du har standard indsugning og udstødning. De andre jets kan ikke justeres, de skal bare skrues alm. til inde i karburatoren.
