I could never get my head around Don't Drink The Water and gave up on it after episode one 😲In On the buses Blakey was an only child if I remember correctly and this never floated my boat for that reason and was a poor spin off. I was and still am a massive On the busses fan but even the writers in that could be lazy at times ( or got short of ideas) If you watch the whole series you will see many of the original ideas were re written or tweaked for later episodes. I often think some of the later and funnier episodes of On the buses were the ones written by Bob Grant and Stephen Lewis, what really is sad is what Bob grant went through after it with his mental health. It is a real shame that the true spin of series Back on the Buses never got the funding from STV as things could have been so different for Bob, RIP Bob a true legend.
Doesn't he resemble the actions and sounds s of Alf garnet in Death us do part. When he sees his apartment for the first time. Perhaps why the series was a flop is because he's not once again teamed up with Stan and the conductor in On the buses which was a chemistry they all had
