Such a wonderful series. I wish all married couples loved each other this much, and all husbands were as nice as William. Miss the good ol' decades, 70s, 80s, and 90s.

The reason the Financial Times is pink.On 2 January 1893 the FT began printing on light salmon-pink paper to distinguish it from the similarly named Financial News: at the time it was also cheaper to print on unbleached paper (several other more general newspapers such as The Sporting Times had the same policy)

I first saw this show on PBS in the late 1990s. I liked the episodes "a waiting game where William volunteers as a bartender at a party hester is catering to, and the episode "caught in the act when William and Hester's daughter Emma's in laws visit, and finding them unbearable they decide to hide from them. A really shame most of the cast is not around.

This series part of a fashion in the 80s to give actors primarily known for their theatre work a sitcom on ITV / Channel 4.
