Phenomenal video! I've no idea how I'm ever gonna be able to match this one once I get around to making my own combo mad for Bayonetta 3. The choreography here feels so tightly woven together, and the use of environments is fantastic. 101% wonderful.
Thanks so much Set! It truly means a lot coming from you. Your videos were a huge inspiration for me to create this combo video. I can't tell you how many times I rewatched your Bitcoin Bayonetta and Bayo 2 combo video just to get a sense of how to choreograph the combos to the music. I'm really looking forward to your eventual combo mad! You've certainly got more experience with crafting combos than I do so I'm extremely curious to see how you'll approach combos for this game. Thank you so much for what you've done for high-level Bayonetta style play. I'm not kidding when I say this video wouldn't have been possible without you. The collab project pushed me to continue to dig into this game beyond my two initially submitted clips and eventually led to this final video. Seriously, thank you so much for what you've done for the community.
Not even close. IMO bayonetta 2 is the best but I can understand the argument for 1. But bayo 3 is unfinished. They had a great idea with the different maskerade forms, I don’t think they should have done devil slaves and kept the devil wink. Bayonetta is so OP in the base game. Hell you don’t even need a summon or special weapons, you just need to spin the joystick and P with CMW and you deal with most enemies and get pure platinum. Not to mention viola is a terrible character, both for the story and the way she’s played. DMC V did a much better job passing the torch to the next generation while also making Nero a very fun character to play as. Honestly viola plays like a confused Vergil picking up Yamato for the first time.
One of my favorite things about stylish action games is watching combo videos months after release and seeing all the cool shit i had no idea i could even do
Like Set said, this looks and feels so much like a whole performance, this is pure art! This makes me wanna dwelve in Bayo 3 even more than I already wanted, it's just so magical. Thanks for this!
Go for it! I'm hoping this video leads others to also explore this game's combo potential. It's tough but there's a lot of neat stuff you can do that wasn't possible in the previous two games.
I was just popped in Bayo 3 again after playing the Cereza game and I was having so much fun. I'm really bad at high level demon slave comnat though. I think other players are going to have trouble with that too because it's so different than what a lot of people are used to. Thanks for making this video. It proves just how deep this combat system really is and how insane the potential is for wild and crazy combos. If I run into any naysayers I'll be sure to point them here.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I totally understand the learning curve when it comes to Demon Slave. Even with my experience with Astral Chain, it still took quite a while for the game to click with me. Even if Bayo 3's combat system isn't necessarily the direction I wanted Platinum to take, I do think it's a fairly interesting system that deserves a chance. Hopefully, this video gives other players a glimpse at this game's potential and inspires them to push the system further.
Holy shit this is how you do Bayonetta 3. I always love the first one and its style but i think I wasn't used to how to use the new weapons and demons. This is an inspiration!
I hope Bayonetta 4 will be as good if not better with it's combat. And OMG it's so beautiful, how do you even aim and predict all this stuff it's amazing.
Just no words... The best combos in Bayonetta 3. Great work! I know how it is, trying to record combos in the outside of training room, this is a hard work.
Thank you so much! I agree, combos outside of the training room are certainly difficult to test and record. It requires such a significant time investment that I'm not sure if I want do it again, ha ha. If only PlatinumGames patched in better tools for the training room...
Not a huge fan of Bayo 3, and yet, the choreography and combo work here is insane. I haven't the slightest how you managed to execute these so well. It must take unwavering dedication. It's completely mad and I loved every second of it.
This video is so fun and brought so much joy to me. Thank you for making this. Definitely one of my favorite combo mad videos. It helps soothe how much I hated the story, knowing that the combat could reach such heights.
To be fair to other players, it's pretty difficult to create combos in this game compared to previous Bayonetta games. That Stratus enemy in the training room only has 2000 HP and one or two Demon Slave attacks will kill it. The other options is what I did, which is intentionally seek out scenarios where enemies have more health. The downside is that it takes a significant amount of time to test the combo, let along actually record it. It took me about 4.5 months of non-stop playing to even create 10 clips. I'm not sure if I would be willing to go through that process again considering how difficult it was.
the editing on this is on point too not just the combos, great stuff i love all the little small details you included, i love the no witches joke in the little photograph transition xD
Amazing vid. I don't think I've seen anyone use her animals as well as you do in this game, which is probably the correct way of approaching the combat encounters. Massive props for labbing out and isolating single enemies to record your combos on, without proper bayoHOOK that seems impossible to me, but you are just that much more dedicated lol. Most of these combos were already great, but the one where you combo Fractus in Shibuya with Madama like it's volleyball genuinely made me laugh. ( 2:12 ) Shoutout anyone who contributed to this vid, you are all queens
It's definitely difficult to lab combos in this game. The training tools are woefully basic and the game could really benefit from a training room with proper tools. I remember playing a bit of Hi-Fi Rush and wishing that Bayonetta 3 had even half of those options for its training room. Honestly, I would recommend people to buy a modded Switch or use emulation for combo labbing. For the most part, I practiced most of my combos in the Yuzu emulator and then switched over to my Switch for recording. The back-and-forth was an incredibly tedious experience and I'm not sure if I want to do it again for a second video. I'm glad you enjoyed the volleyball combo! The concept for the combo was actually something I was planning for a second Astral Chain combo video but figured out it would work much better in this game. It's just such a weird combo that's really only possible in a game like this.
I only wish the enemy had more health because the PlatinumGames building is probably one of the better arenas in this game. The original combo was supposed to be a little longer but it didn't quite fit the song.
you show exactly what it means to do combo with both bayonetta and the demons, this game has a lot of potential but people only play by spamming op demon moves and then they hate the game
@@wl4810yeah I know, in fact the enemy design is shit in this game and it all revolves around using op moves. if they adjusted the game by giving bayonetta more available combos with her demons and reduced the demons damage on enemies and if they didn’t made 1000 giant enemies (apart the heavy ones that are good for combos because you can stun them) then the game would have surpasses bayo 1
@@caregalo2878the second game does exactly the same thing with umbra climax and umbra climax is much worse for gameplay than demon slave because demon slave at least still requires you to think and make strategies while umbra climax only requires you to mash the buttons to win and even so no one complains about this flaw in the second game so definitely a lot of the complaints about demon slave are simply because people want to find some reason to complain about the third game
I'll try my best. I would like to make a second Bayo 3 combo video eventually but it won't be for a while. I want to miss the game and come back to it when I have enough ideas for a second video.
My favorite is the one at about 1:10, I never thought about demon switching after Madama's witch twist! 😱 Question: What do you use to remove the original music while keeping the sound effects? Do you just play with music off? Or do you use a program to remove the music?
Glad you enjoyed it! That combo was actually the first one I made for the video and it's probably my favorite. It was a lucky coincidence that the combo perfectly fit one of the songs that I picked out. So for recording purposes, I just turn the music off in the game settings. I know it's possible to remove it via software but it typically sounds garbled to my ears (that, or I'm not very good at isolating sound effects).
Heh, I scammed everyone with a false advertisement. 😈 Actually, I wasn't able to fit it in the video. I think I mentioned on Twitter a month or two ago that a certain video clip didn't fit the song I had picked out. I think you may have suggested to use it for bonus content. After playing around with the video clip, I found that it actually matched the preview song I was planning to use. At least all that hard work wasn't wasted because that combo was surprisingly difficult to test.
If you perform Wink Slave during certain Demon Slave commands, it actually repeats the Demon Slave command instead of using the normal Wink Slave move. So in this case, I was able to perform a repeat hadouken to finish off the enemy. Looks pretty cool imo ;p
That volleyball session between Madama Butterfly and Bayonetta is some incredible choreograph and skill intensive work I've seen.
The way you and Madama Butterfly used a Fractus as a volleyball was INSANE to me like this entire video is amazingly intricate 👁👄👁
Its so crazy too because like, this dude played volleyball with a HEAVY ????
Not just insane but also amazing because that is something Bayonetta would do.

😳😳
Just gonna casually add this to my folder of evidence showcasing why Bayo 3 is the best Bayonetta game
Nope
Not even close. IMO bayonetta 2 is the best but I can understand the argument for 1. But bayo 3 is unfinished. Love the detail of Tokyo Bayonetta using her Jp voice
Hee hee, I like to incorporate little details like this. Gotta show Atsuko Tanaka some love.

2:21 literally getting Butterfly to play Volleyball with you 😍
You breathed life back into this game after the ending snuffed it for me 💜
I just realized that you're the same person that made the infamous Bayo dodgeball video. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Like Set said, this looks and feels so much like a whole performance, this is pure art! This makes me wanna dwelve in Bayo 3 even more than I already wanted, it's just so magical. Thanks for this!
This didn't even look like a game, It looked like a pure music video!!!! Such fantastic art
As Santa Claus would say: "Beautiful!"
You make me want to go down the crazy rabbithole of combos... it's a dangerous path. Amazing video as always!
Go for it! I'm hoping this video leads others to also explore this game's combo potential. It's tough but there's a lot of neat stuff you can do that wasn't possible in the previous two games.
Oh, you are insane!
The sequence at 0:32 was beautiful
One of the best combat systems out there, this game doesn’t get the credit it deserves imo. Thanks for this, it’s just amazing what you’ve done here
That transition at 0:33 is CLEAN. Neat editing!
I think we have reached peak Bayo content right here.
This is the most insane shit ever
It will be hard for someone to top Tokyonetta dabbing on the homunculi haha

i keep coming back to this video so much. amazing job!
your combos are insane
This is ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!! Poetry in motion. The true definition (get it) of an proper ass whoopin’.
This is art.
Tbh, all Bayonetta needs is DMC5's training mode. One with all the enemies and the abiility to give them unlimited health.
THIS HAD ME GAGGED THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH OMG, AMAZING WORK!!!

This is my fifth watch and I just noticed that B1 Bayonetta is speaking Japanese. What a nice little piece of attention to detail!
