In fact, their first meeting is between Niffin Alice and Julia-without-her-shade, with Alice speaking THROUGH Quentin during one of the 20 minute control intervals she negotiated/extorted from him during the bank robbery. SEASON 2, Ep 9 Julia: "You're not Quentin." Alice-in-Quentin: "Get me out of here." Julia: "Alice" AiQ: "Quentin always said you were smart." Julia: "He said the same about you."
Actually, I'm wrong. Alice and Julia do meet in season 1, as their human selves. In fact, Julia steals the dagger Alice is supposed to use to kill Martin Chatwin.
