The best argument and the worst argument for God are the same; He's unfalsifiable.
People believe in God for the same reason children believe in Santa; It's zero cost, it's zero risk, it's easy, it requires a lack of critical thinking, and it helps them deny the brutal truth of reality and growing up.

he is unfalsifiable because he MUST exist this god non falsifiability is a property of him being a necessary existence rather than, rather than making questions about him non-useful as we would do with non-falsifiable stuff in empirical sciences

@asyncasync yes, if there is no possible condition, experiment, observation that can prove the hypothesis false, then it us unfalsifiable, however neccecity entities,(if we assume they exist) are also non-falsifiable by definition

    • @asyncasync

@@يوسفعمارنة-ش9ت replace God with Santa and your argument works just the same.
Santa MUST exist and therefor being unfalsifiable is an inherent quality to him and therefor its a non-useful question.
So now Santa is real. Great!

You are supposed to turn your life over to god. I’ve been debating religion for almost 20 years now. You can believe in a high power all you want, but to believe in the christian bible god is for the illogical. You were hurting and needed communion and you found it in a religious community. But you can do better bro. Don’t be a slave.

We live in a paradox ourselves. One day when we were young we just opened up our eyes and became conscious with no back story. I remember this day sitting outside in our back yard. Looking up at the glory of the blue sky and all creations. I had so much fear. So much anxiety struck me. I ran to my mother and asked her. Mom. Why are we here. I don’t think she understood me. Because she gave me a very earthly answer. I replied no! But how are we here. It doesn’t make any sense. She gave me the very simple answer. Because god made us and he wants us here. I hadn’t felt much pain yet at 4 years old, but it was a good enough answer for me.
I think we are all in different levels of consciousness. I can guarantee when I talk to people, I can tell really quick who is alive, and who is “alive” the more alive we are, the more spirit of god we have in us. It’s so scary how it really is, and I’ve struggled with this my whole life. Having out of body experiences and precognitive premonitions. I see things others don’t. I feel blessed because I actually see god and I know he is real . But I can’t prove it outside of my mind. All I can tell someone is to search their consciousness and you will find we are eternal beings. You will come to the same conclusions as me. It sounds cliche and I hate to be so broad. But verbal language is so limited to the concepts that I compute with my earthly brain. Humility and faith are the only things I can recommend. We are all connected by god. The masculine energy that created this dimension of material 3D universe. Possibly out of this realm is somewhere where time doesn’t exist. There is no beginning and there is no end. I’m sure it will make sense when we go to our true home. But the reality is we are living in a matrix. 85%of our daily routine we are unconscious and completely acting on programming and instinct. Some of us operate on 99 percent programming. Consciousness is feeling the light of god and the power of free will. Some of us exercise this liberty more than others. It’s scary to see things others don’t see. It truely makes me afraid that I’m the only thing real in this world.
My best guest is that we all come from the same spirit. That we are made in gods image. And if I was a supreme conscious being I would be lonely. So I would put myself into multiple avatars and send them off to another realm, it would be the only way to make them truly individuals. Here on earth in this plane we develop our personalities and become separate of god, only to return as someone new. Otherwise if we stayed under god, we would only be a duplicate of him. He loves us so much he does all of this for us. This earth does have a purpose, and it’s to make us individuals. Because we are all technically the same spirit. Some of us feminine and some masculine. Equal and opposite. Our experience here on earth is what separates us from god. And we don’t like to be alone, since we are created from him we can learn a lot about god from learning about ourselves. We all determine our reality in our consciousness. We are beings beyond our bodies in the material world. I don’t know everything about god. But I can guarantee he is a loving god. And since everything must exist, so must evil. And we must cast away evil from ourselves, the same way god has done for himself. That is why we are so innately born to know the difference of good and evil. I was born Jewish, but I’m not particularly religious. But I don’t believe in god. I know god, because god is the spirit inside of me that is everything good. I hope this makes sense to anyone struggling with a damaged soul. God has already healed the impossible with me. He will do it for you too if you are sincere

Rule of newton puts it-there cannot be laws without a lawmaker. All laws require intelligence to formulate and intelligence to understand which include humans. Compiled Laws put in place such as laws of thermodynamics demonstrate time initiated the universe yet there was a timeless cause. The universe a pendulum of time is clockwork, more complex than a Rolex watch. This alone calls for intelligent design any time of the week. We know God who has thoughts feelings ideas emotions made things in fours. Examples for the earth: there is four seasons fours elements four winds four sides to earths compass. That’s four fours. The grids used for maps is made up of foursquares of equal sides. In nature we have animals that walk on fours with typically four toes. Some have external fours such as tarantulas or octopus on sides. Humans have four fingers each hand excluding thumbs. Humans also grow four wisdom teeth. DNA which makes up all life is made up of four principle molecules. Gods name in Hebrew you guessed it four letters YHWH. The eden he made In the beginning had four rivers that crossed it, two of which still exist today. It seems clearly then that God left his fingerprints and name all over creation. It also seems apparent that God is highly intelligent for he did the math before we even discovered it. Keep in mind that science doesn’t tell you God does not exist, only lying dishonest individuals do……

Oh really? Here let’s go over the Evidence for God. We know the universe is governed by precise mathematical laws of Physics.

To say this is the best argument for the existence of God is a preposterous exaggeration
I don't believe in God neither do I "serve people" yet I find my life meaningful. What he's describing isn't the only way to find meaning but just one way(when done properly), hence I find it hard to see how this is a strong argument for the existence of God in the first place, let alone the strongest when all it does is explaining how the belief in God can be meaningful when done properly(when you're "an agent of the divine will")which is something we've known for ages.
I mean if it's the case that God is the only meaning then it would be nihilistic to say that God doesn't exist
However, everyone has their truths and own sense of purpose which they derive from their own life experiences so you can't tell someone that their life is meaningless because they don't hold the same beliefs you hold especially whilst not proving that your meaning is the only meaning (which is clear in Peterson's case where he asserted -not argued because he was making assertions without proof- that if you change the way you think of God you will find meaning-which might be true-, and that other meanings are "one step in the ladder of the divine"-which is narrow-minded to put it mildly- )

Jordan Peterson is an intelligent man, but he's falls victim to the assumption of agency in human action. I know there are a lot of believers out there who think because Jordan believe something, it must be true - but I would evaluate the simplicity of his statement for assume there's a God out there. Which God? Which religion? Jordan makes enormous leap From recognizing that good people do good things for others, to seeing the invisible hand behind the actions in service to a religion or a god. This isn't logic, it's wishful thinking. Peace.

JP is also doing the same thing, creating some conditions in his mind(as if he is the one to know god personally) and sais if you do this then you are getting signals from god, or even if you are an atheist but fulfills the condition that means you are also going towards god but you dont know it. He is behaving less like an academician and more like a cunning preacher in a religious environment using polished but illogical words to manipulate masses who wants to believe god.

*It`s almost impossible for a person, as for a thinking entity, to accept the fact that nothing is having sence and that the Universe is just a random nonsence occasion. A person cannot accept and live with the thought that he is an error and he is living for nothing. That`s why nihilism as a conception of mind is destructive. It may create an illusion of freedom and opportunity to do everything you want because God doesn`t exist in that way, but you still are going to be unhappy in the end. The pleasure will end sooner or later and you are going to be enormously disappointed. Only belief in God and the sence of everything existing can make your life happy, full and filled. Moreover, God can be an object that gives you endless energy and if you don`t believe in God and live as you wish, the only person you can rely on is you. That`s why being a nihilist is obviously hard, especially when your life is shit.*
    P.S. My opinion.

People can speculate and experiment and come to theoretical conclusions ( science) or they can wave all that and take a stance on believing the Bible , Qaran or any of the multiple different texts ( religions), makes no difference whatsoever nobody knows for sure , and unless something happens during your lifetime to change that why worry about it . The only way I'd be convinced "god" exists is for him / her / it to come down in person or whatever form , and demonstrate what he / she / it is . There are so many religions what makes people who believe in the god of the bible right . If you only believe in the bible , your an atheist too in the eyes of those who believe in other texts . These discussions are pointless , just get on with your lives , believe what you want , and be the best you can be .

You can know God. Look at his son. The intellect dissects but the spirit discerns. Can the invention prove the Inventor or does the Inventor prove the invention?? If you need proof to believe it is because of pride, selfish desire, or hate. Pride is the root is selfishness which is the cause of all human suffering and poverty so it is written, humble thyself, deny thyself. Instead of seeking proof you should be seeking truth which is easier to find and found easily in the words of yeshua. The more you empty yourself from what this world has placed in you and the more you follow the words of yeshua the more filled with the spirit of God you become. He will show you great and hidden things but your creator will not be revealed to nor will God dwell in a vessel that indulges in such inequity as pride or selfish desire . Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be opened to you. Only those with an ear to hear will hear but without humility one can listen but never hear. There's no room for pride or selfish desire in a kingdom where all things are one as all glory righteously belongs to God.
