Cracking edit Jonathan and an awesome day on the bikes! We enjoyed it thoroughly on the day and on reflection though it was one of the best rides we’d done this year! Awesome 🙌
Brilliant, nice to hear you both enjoyed it so much. Shame the weather wasn't a bit brighter up the top of the ladder but hey. Looking forward to your version of events now. 😎
Like it when some of my most followed TH-camrs team up 😀 Nice video of a great route, one of my favourite rides I've done this year, back when I only had a hardtail, a warm-up for Garburn Pass, then Glentress blacks, then decided I'd earned a full suss 😂
Cheers for the lovely comment. Collabs are always great fun. Especially seeing how different people use the footage to tell different tales from the day. You've definitely earned the right to a full susser. Took me about 22 years 🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic video Jonathan, a peaks classic for sure, gutted i missed it, would have been great to meet Mr & Mrs mountain, err, mindful mountain, oh forget it 🤷♂️🤣 it would be great to meet them anyway 🤣👍🏻
I feel bad about that mess up but I genuinely practiced and my prompt to thinking was it stands for MTB ....so I said mountain . .which completely messed it up. It'll be alright on the night and I got it right at the end . Always learning. As you say, proper classic, all weather, tough route. I linked in all my precious recordings, including your big otb, Really thought you'd injured yourself on that one.
@@MTB_Derbyshire haha, my intros are never perfect, always forgetting what i wanted to say, and if that doesn’t cock it up, there’s always Jason to lend a helping hand (not) 🤣 I got really lucky with that otb on Jacobs, still have the scar on my shin though 🤣👍🏻
I rate it as the toughest local ride for the distance. Ridden it loads over the years and it still surprises me with how draining it is. Still at least it rewards with some great descents! Perhaps I should change career ....Guided rides in the peak is tempting....🤔
Gotta love this classic, it's been a while since I've done the loop, although I've never done the campsite descent before (think that's what the last one is called?) May have to remedy that at some point.
@@MTB_Trekker it's a great descent but as you can see it's a fast one with big drainage ditches and lower down the occasional person on it. Just for the record, I could have stopped btw 😜

Pretty much my favourite route now they’ve knacked Lockerbrook
It's a top route with so e great descents....but you've got to work for them. 👍 Cheers for the comment.
Love this loop, keen to try it in normal weather (for us...), Might have to ask for your guiding as know Lorna is keen to have a go at this as well 😊
It would be my pleasure 👍

@@HallMarc_Trails 😂😂 would have been good to meet you! 👍
Cracking video mate and look at you being a guide (quite successfully by the looks of it). Looks like a great but tiring ride
