Me trying to impress my friends in 4 easy steps:
1. Practice song
2. Practice song A LOT
3. Ace the song and feel comfortable playing it
4. Freeze up when in front of your friends and immediately throw yourself off by starting on the wrong note
This is SO true tho. The most relatable thing ive seen today
Me playing by myself:
*can play a song I played once 10 years ago
Me playing in front of my friends:
*can’t play a single note
And you really goes like "Why does this song sound so bad now? When i played it alone it felt so great?" "This sounds weak and simple now" "They expect so much more, should i stop and start with something else?" "Why didnt i even practice this song more?" "Wow its getting really embarrassing now" "im a horrible pianist" And you stop halfway and have some minor excuse.

So, when I was in school, our chorus teacher let us play piano. Now I was actually decent, but played in the practice room like a functional manner of society. Now, there was always this one girl, playing the main piano that everyone could hear, and she would only play the beginning of Fur Elise on repeat. Not even the arpeggios, just E Eb E Eb E B D C A on repeat.

All songs should come with a major happy ending.
Imagine someone doing this to you and being proud that they went out of their way to put some effort into attaining a skill. Imagine encouraging them to keep it up and, if you are able, telling them some things that your perspective and knowledge on music have brought you. Like how to play your notes at an even tempo, and that mastery of even a single song is more impressive than a number of half remembered melodies
One of my teachers has an old piano in his classroom. My one friend likes to play “jingle bells” on it, but he doesn’t know the melody and is too embarrassed to try to figure it out, so he plays the whole rhythm on the E note. Like seriously, he’ll play the whole entire thing, but only on the E note. Enrages my pianist side lol
he might be tone deaf lol

Relatable. Whenever my friend does this it causes me physical pain
There was this one girl that I was kind of acquainted with, and she was playing some piece she "wrote." She used only white keys and had no distinguishable melody. Anyway, I asked if I could play when she was done, so she finished up and I took my turn. I played a Chopin Etude. She came running back, saying something like, "I hate you! You're better than me!" She then pushed me out of the way and started playing her "piece" really fast, trying to seem impressive or something.
and then everyone clapped
@@offbrandjoseywales no i think it was just meant to be a funny story and honestly you dont have to play good even to make someone who can't play think you're better

the "major ending because happy" kills me
Learning in musical school. This is exactly 90% of my school. I feel like an alien with my nocturne lmao
Lets be honest the best way to play the piano is to let your emotions flow right into the notes and you will play a masterpiece...
spoken like a true person who can't read sheet music
the piano will sound muffled but aight
This was me until I started to actually learn chords, scales, and new pieces that were challenging and not just in my comfort zone. I did however set the bar too high with Animez's composition of Unravel. It's become more of a progress check piece. Now I can actually play parts of the first section with both hands together and am begging to notice what key song's are in.
You literally just described my brother with this video.
Not me playing all those songs in that exact order.
i have never done this in my noob times, i guess even after 5 years i’m still a noob cause i can’t even read piano sheets still
Paul McCartney never got the hang of sheet music apparently, so you're good
You don't need piano sheets. Just memorize the songs from youtube synthesia tutorials
Honestly, I have never seen any of my friends touch a piano once. So I think I'm the only one in my group who does piano (FYI; I take piano classes! And this was funny for how accurate this video was, but I've gotten better and learned faster on playing the piano!)
Somehow, this is still better than what i could do
The bad glissando is so relatable
This is when I pull out Unravel from Tokyo Ghoul and flex harder than they tried to.
That's basically me practicing piano, plus some smashing the keyboard a couple of times, but it's more of frustration and anger than anything. (That is basically 90% of my practicing.)
Edit: Not anymore, I actually enjoy it now since the music is actually good.

We once owned a church organ. And I learned a few basic songs in high school. And decided to teach my friend the only songs I new because he always wanted to play our organ. He then bought a keyboard and lerened a few more complex songs that his mother taught him. He would always show off that he could play a couple of bits of a song. (He never learned a whole song though) now years on I still play and after a few years (8) he moved back to my area and we bacame friends again on night I went to his house to invite him for a few drinks. The first thing he did was walk straight to his keyboard and started to play the same old bits of songs he knew. I asked him if I could have a go and needles to say he didn't like it and his reaction when his wife said "he's better than you" was priceless. He never plays when I visit anymore.
Yoo, so accurate
I’d be grateful to be good enough to play these.
I would be surprised if a noob has such smooth transitions
