      @@GabrielRodriguez-yr3md I guess, but it's cannon that Tony has some sci-fi anti gravity technology that makes his suit weight less, and prob helps with g-force too.

    something you overlooked at that first statement, iron man doesnt need to go from mk1 to 0, since both fighters are also at similar speeds, he just need to slowdown enough to allow them to pass him.

    Most likely his suits have an active dampening system reason because
    *spoilers*
    In Civil War Rhodey is knocked out of the sky but loser consciousness when his suit loses power. Now when Rhodey is flying obviously thats not a problem so the conclusion is that the dampening is an active part of the suit probably using some sort of dampening field within the suit to hold all his organs in place and to absorb shocks

    • @shaneebahera8566
      @shaneebahera8566 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Cladyton Cortina yeah you are right but why is the most important part of the iron man armour exposed like that rhodey almost died because of that design and he lost to cap because he jammed his shield into the reactor. why could he have covered it with some sort of hatch

    • @rays5073
      @rays5073 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +Shanee Bahera well, in Rhodey's case, it was (*spoiler*)
      Vision's weird super stone laser thingy.
      Second, Tony doesn't need the Arc Reactor to keep the shrapnel from his heart anymore, as that was removed in Iron Man 3. Which brings us to the next point the reactor is now inside the chest plate itself, making it hard to cover up without a weird bulge, and it would block the unibeam. Further, I'd like to point out that Cap has been treated with the Super Soldier serum, making him stronger than a normal man, combined with his vibranium shield making a potent source of sheer kinetic power.

      +Nerdist Maybe Steve and Bucky have a MILD regeneration ability as part of the Super Soldier formula?
      I mean, this IS the Marvel universe, and even if the MCU can't use X-Men-specific characters (Wanda & Pietro being an exception being Avengers BEFORE being Mutants), it wouldn't surprise me if someone in the MCU had/was working with regeneration abilities around the 1940's.
      Sure, we probably won't get an official yay/nay on THAT idea, but it's something to think about whilst Fox owns the rights to make X-Men films.

    if iron man passes the sound barrier and comes to a complete stop and is immune to knockouts, and the flash runs faster than light and is seen to come to a complete halt as well, shouldn't the flash be immune to knockouts as well, if not more than iron man?

    • @darknezz6769

    • @Shaded8
      @Shaded8 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      The flash controls kinetic energy on a subatomic level. And the speedforce allows him to do it without being a super genius. He is immune to being knocked out. He can literally phase through solid matter and/or make things explode by touching them. If he saw an attack coming that wasnt magic or didnt otherwise break physics (he's in a bad universe for that) then it cannot really hurt him.

    I personally think that the blaster get's around the knockback thing because instead of thinking of the blaster as "firing" something. The impact has no force what-so-ever like a laser, but the knockback is caused from a mini-explosion or shockwave from the material of the person being vaporized.

  • @Jamematen2

    Not bad but even if Iron Man could replicate something like that his human structure would still be weak against rapid neck torsions and changes in the blood pressure inside the brain. Simply put his brain is way to big and ill-conceived to that purpouse.
    The helmet would also be weackened because you have to focus on a point of impact to acomodate all structures arround forces from that direction, so hits from the side or back would still be a really big problem. Also the need to make if flexible would increase the chances of it crushing under continuous pressure.
    Ironically a human apex like Capitan America would be a far better candidate to use the armor than Iron Man, not only for the biological advanced but also training.
    But hey, it's technology and comics, don't try for even one second to make sense out of it.

    • @GregaMeglic

      +Jamematen2 Well if memory serves me right, Starks weapons are repulsors. Hes basically shooting people round with something like an anti-gravity blast. Meaning he can easily be suseptible to the tried old inertia dampeners that have been used in science fiction for ages now.

    Regarding that SW question - it doesn't need mass, it needs momentum. Photons, for example, are massless particles yet their momentum (p) is characterized by reduced Planck constant (ħ) and wave vector (k) e.g. p=ħk
    It doesn't matter anyway since blasters fire plasma (ionized atoms) with electromagnets and not individual photons, so there's still mass involved. We can assume that ionized plasma atoms react violently with stormtroopers armor releasing huge amounts of potential energy and that the air around the zone of impact gets accelerated. Similarly as with throwing a grenade - momentum from the throw is not enough to flip a person through air, however energy released upon explosion is more than enough.
    Pros and cons of this theory:
    + blaster bolts do not travel at speed of light
    + there is almost no recoil
    + explains why stormtroopers fly from the impact
    + burn marks and smoke on the armor
    + blaster bolt sound (it's almost definitely the wrong frequency though)
    - plasma not interacting with blaster and air

    Still, that is a lot forces on Tony's head, but given that he created a recoilless energy hand canon, I figured that he just stood up inertia on a date and isn't answering his phone. Also, the Star Wars "lasers" are supposed to be plasma bolts that explode on impact. Or maybe that's just the bowcaster.

I am unsure if you just forgot about their fight or perhaps I missed something. I just thought it worth mentioning in case you ever have the opportunity to update this video or make a new one that addresses the issue at some future date and time. In the end Question about the Blaster, "How does the blaster work?" It's not using Newtons Law, it's using Thermal Dynamics. When the Blaster hits it is atomizing the armor in that area when it hits which produces both the Armor penetration and burn mark but would produce an energy wave that would punch their armor and should thrown them.
    There are a lot of really cool high energy laser videos on here that show it happening to some effect. (The Military ones not the backyard ones) all it would have to do is super heat the material faster than it could cool/melt. kind of like plastic/armor popcorn.

    Regarding the last part: in star wars most blasters like han's or a standard stormtrooper are just lasers that burn through a person and destroys their insides, but some blasters or artillery in SW like Chewbaccas bowcaster actually have solid bullets ( or whatever it's called in star wars) that when shot are encased in blaster fire as well, giving the user kickback from the weapon as well as sending the target flying and very dead while still maintaining the look of a blaster bolt albeit larger.

    Alternate explanation for how a blaster-bolt can blow a man back.
    Heat of the bolt vaporises a part of the target and the explosive expansion of these gasses is the force moving the Storm Trooper...
    Couldn't it work that way?

    • @amitabhakusari2304
      @amitabhakusari2304 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      markotark But wouldn't you see the light,and sound effects of this explosion on Stormtrooper's armour.

    • @Ullus
      @Ullus 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      the Explosion would be visible, but it is definitely possible! There actually has been some research into this kind of propulsion system: Shoot with a pulsed laser at an object to vaporize small amount of its hull so it can "ride" upon those little explosions. The tunking behind this kind of propulsion system: you dont need an energy source on the flying object. See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_propulsion
      Another explanation for the knockback would be: photon radiation pressure - but energy required to generate enough "light-pressure" would be so high that the target would much faster evaporate than beeing knocked back...

      I don't think they have super muscles and bones. At least captain A doesn't. The serum only made it so cap is in top physical human condition, the most physically fit a human can be. Not super human. At least to my knowledge.

    • @Dracomancer273
      @Dracomancer273 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Comic-Cap is closer to being a top condition human than MCU-Cap.
      While I can see a Deadlift Champion being able to briefly resist a helicopter that is actively trying to lift off (not just barely hovering for the oohs and ahhs of the onlookers), if you compare their muscle mass bulk to Cap's, there is no way he is just a person at top human condition.
      Also, keep in mind that this was said by a doctor in the 40s. What was considered Top Human Condition then and what modern medicine/sports consider it now ARE different. The serum also somehow reflects your deepest personal ideals in how it reacts with you. It ain't no normal steroid boosted by magical radiation.

    about the punch question at the end, it only makes sense that a superhuman would be able to punch steel armor without repercussions.
    I've done 10 years of TKD (a martial art that doesn't even focus too hard on punches in the first place) and through fist conditioning I am now able to put dents in steel-clad doors. There are ways of mitigating shock at the last moment with your body if you feel that your joints and bones can't handle it.

    On the blaster thing, it knocking back a storm trooper doesn't actually have to imply mass. You could also explain the force on the storm trooper causing it to fly as the blaster vaporizing part of the suit due to it being an extremely powerful laser and the high velocity vaporized ejecta causes the equal and opposite reaction.

    Captain America doesn't have super strength. His abilities are the maximum a human can exhibit, but are not considered super human. So, he is stronger than any other human you'll encounter in the comic world. Like Batman, it's all training, grit and determination. That's one reason he's endured for decades. Kyle keeps referring to Cap having 5-10 times normal strength, but that not correct. Cap can bench about 1200 pounds. That's only a few pounds more than the world record inthe real world.
    Love the series though.

    +Nerdist : Regarding a comment at the end of your video, maybe the blaster's laser creates a small, localized, explosion on contact with the stormtrooper. That explosion might generate enough force to push the stormtrooper backwards. I did some napkin math and the energy of the explosion would have to be something like 10kJ to 100kJ which seems like the a borderline reasonable number. Compare to the energy in a grenade blast (400kJ).
