The previous Shadow Broker was not the last, just that their world was supposed to be quarantined after they killed the first Citadel contacts. There are not supposed to be any Yahg off their homeworld.
The shadow broker isn't the last yahg, but having one on Sur'kesh gives Liara some fun dialogue. Bringing her and Garrus, as friends of Wrex, is great.
You misunderstood I think. There is no cure. malon was running experiments that you interrupted in Mass Effect 2. But some of the females from those experiments in Mass Effect 2 survive and are immune. Malon never worked with Rex because he said that they were too soft. After mordin and you leave, The salarians find the krogan females that we're experimented on and take them but keep it a secret. Rex seems to have found out and wants them back for his cure
40:17 If the crewmate isn’t there, look for where they actually are. They usually move around the ship with more unique dialogues but they will disappear if you leave
1:12:57 bringing Javik on this mission is so funny with his dialogue along if you bring him to other missions but I like bringing Liara and Garrus on this mission to somewhat have the OG squad back and the nice little interaction they have in this cutscene especially when she sees the Yahg.
Hey there! I know its probably not new for you but I drunk right now and I having a need to express some feelings. You a great guy. You care a lot of the world of video games (although I watched only your's Mass Effect and Witcher playthrough) and thats earned my respect. You earned a new subscriber here. Sorry if I messed up in grammar like I said I am a bit drunk right now and english is not my first language. Props to you man!
I read all the comments complaining about not taking Garrus & Liara before I got to the end of the video... I thought you were going to have picked EDI and James or something that doesn't make any sense lol. Garrus and Javik is a fine pair for this mission.
It’s such a good pair! Javik’s lines are at some of their best in this mission, and Garrus being one of the old friends gets all that dialogue. Sure it’s not Liara specific, but I’m so thankful he took Javik lol. I thought for sure when he took him on the last mission we would miss out on some of his gems here
Cortez standing at the memorial room is something that only happens once you've gone back to the ship and returned to the Citadel. Same for Matriarch Aethyta. It's so you can get more new content each time you visit the Citadel between missions. You've just triggered that new content by leaving the Citadel briefly and returning immediately ;) *Aethyna* You only saw Aethyta look at that picture of Liara in the DLC LotSB. Without that, it wasn't actually _that_ obvious from the dialogue you had with her. Also, back in ME1 Benezia called Liara 'Little Wing' right before she died. We assume it's a nickname Benezia had given her. Here it shows it wasn't actually _Benezia_ who gave her that nickname. *Aquarium* Have you already decided whether you want to buy this for your fish? You've already left them alone to return to the Citadel, so you're already putting them at risk ;) *Jondum Bau* Something to keep in mind: if you weren't so invested and didn't bother to follow-up on Jondam Bau's side quest, you'd actually miss out on those War Assets. There are people who had to go to war with the Reapers with a lot less War Assets than you, because they're not as diligent with side quests. You're making it easier on yourself by talking to people :) *Adams* Don't forget to check in with Adams in engineering. *Halegeuse* Fun fact: There's also a _Betelgeuse_ which has actually spawned a movie called _BeetleJuice_ . It's not actually pronounced that way, since it's a Dutch pronunciation, but it's close enough; the 'eu' in 'geuse' is similar to the 'ui' in 'juice'. *Salarian military doctrine* Actually, it's the other way around. The Salarians have adopted the Art of War; make sure you know everything about your enemy, so you can deal a crippling blow _before_ it comes to a confrontation. The panicking forces you have to deal with are easier to defeat than when the opponent has time to create tactics based around their armed forces. So disrupt their tactics, destroy supply chains and it's easier to win a war. With the Reapers coming from a different direction, the Salarians didn't have time to do any of those, so they have to gear up for a straight-up fight. That's not their strength, that's the Turians tactic. Salarians are all about tactics and intelligence so they don't _have_ to rely on military strength.
Just so you know, Chris, any time you see "-geuse" in a word (like "Halegeuse"), that syllable is pronounced "juice". That's why, for example, the star Betelgeuse is pronounced kind of like "Beetlejuice".
Regarding Kasumi ... if you did not have the DLC, or she did not survive ME2, the mission is introduced differently but still occurs. However, without Kasumi, your choices determine affect the War Assets you get (no spoilers for the sake of later play-throughs).
Re: Forcing conversations to continue . Most are fine, but there are a couple where it can be a small problem. One issue is potential spoilers. The other is, in at least one case, there is a subtle payoff late in the game that can be missed if the conversation that starts at the beginning of the game if forced all the way through. By the time the payoff happens, it would be easy to forget the earlier details and not connect them at all.
Yeah, I absolutely HATE the interrupts because there's never enough context to know what they'll do. Sure when you're in a fight it's not a big deal, usually it's something badass, might be a bit too mean to fit the shepard you're playing but it's not a big deal. But when it's about dealing with personal matters or close friends it's horrendous design. You either risk missing something that could be very important or you randomly trigger something hoping it goes your way and doesn't break anything. Add to this it's mostly in the middle of a very intense event where either a lot is being revealed or a lot is happening so your head is already spinning and I have only one way to describe it : Idiotic crap design. Of course once you've played through the game a couple of times you'll know what they do and can choose, really choose and not guess when to hit one or not. But the first time around it's pure luck.
Such a pity, taking Garrus and Liara with Wrex on the mission would have led to a some excellent conversation between the oldest companions. Which is why choosing companions thematically is important in ME3. Especially when you meet old squadmates. Yeah, this particular renegade interrupt with Aethyta would've been great. Remember, "little wing" was Benezia's pet name for Liara. And now we know where it came from. No, salarian military doctrine is the direct opposite of what you are thinking. Not only are they not opposed to striking the first blow, their whole strategy is to always strike the first blow, preferably before the enemy is prepared or even starts considering going on the offensive with the salarians. That's why they are out of their depth in this war. Not only were they not prepared for it beforehand as they usually are, but the Reapers are immune to preemptive strikes, sabotage, infiltration and the like which are the salarian forte. Typical Shepard, attending the galaxy-shattering political negotiations in a hoodie instead of a full military uniform... No, Maelon did not come to Wrex. Maelon disappeared after ME2, Wrex simply came upon the remnants of his work and learned about the viable females. So surprised about Wrex plowing ahead like a freight train after you yourself told him to scare the natives. =)
This is also why most ME playthroughs have the exact same companion pairings for every mission. “Turians involved? I’ll bring Garrus. Protheans involved? I’ll bring Javik and Liara. Humans? James and EDI.”
@@BrittonFilmmaker Of course unconventional companion pairings often don't have anything interesting to say at all, so this may be for a good reason. :)
'Little Wing' was Beneziah's pet name for Liara.

Exactly this.
Please fully explore this room before going forward in the next episode
Double please - dont get in the lift too soon :)

A new episode already!? Chris is on all cylinders again! Loving this
I will always side with curing it!

1:06:38 "a bully has few friends when he needs them most" coming from the person alone in a room
Badassfully; The Krogan is here, now we can rejoice.

If you can, check your Spectre terminal when you visit the Citadel. There are some useful things that require Spectre clearance.
Oh wow, thanks Chris! Sitting here at work, bored out of mind, and this little gem falls into my lap. This will tide me over to my break hour.

Maelon never worked with Wrex. In fact Maelon himself said that Wrex wasn’t willing to do it.
Liara 1/4 Krogan confirmed.
