I don't see anything wrong with this rig. Shooting off of a front bag no rear support straight off the shoulder. Standard velocity CCI pretty fast rate of fire factory trigger, easy minute of squirrel. And the scope, a 3x9? The HV goes a little wild that's normal, my old Marlin 39 loves Mini Mags it's a "squirrel rifle" too. My advice would be buy some Norma Tac and give it a go it's quite a bit better than CCI Standard and about the same price. I saw in the comments it retails for 370 bucks if you get a good one you have been blessed.
That’s a fine gun it’s hard to beat a bolt action rifle for being super accurate , wait till you get the barrel seasoned in and it will be a totally different animal
You can adjust the trigger too. I have had some crazy feeding issues. Only Ruger mags work with mine. Also even with a deep cleaning I have extractor issues where it does not grab the rim to pull it out
I got the best results with 40gr supers in mine. It was very inconsistent with subs. Best groups were with Aguila 40gr HV, Federal automatch, SK semi auto, and Eley force. Most of those were under an inch at 50 yards. One of the Aguila groups was 0.65".
I'm sure your results would have been helped by cleaning the barrel thoroughly before shooting. Another thing is, the barrel needs to be seasoned with bullets from each different load you want to shoot for accuracy. The lube varies from load to load, and a good rule of thumb would be about one shot for each inch of barrel length, or perhaps fifteen rounds minimum for your twenty inch barrel should be about right. I also believe those rotary magazines adversely affect accuracy by deforming the bullet or shaving lead making them inconsistent with poor concentricity.
I really this was actually a good shooting gun. They did so much right, especially with the wood stocked ones, that them blowing it with the barrels sucks. My friend bought one and we took my rifles, a cz457, a built 10-22, a b14r, and a ruger precision rimfire. We both shot all of the rifles and every time the groups at 50 yards that were shot by the 2020 were twice as big as those shot every other rifle. We tried a lot of ammo to attempt to get it to shoot cci standard velocity, federal automatch, sk standard plus, sk match, eley match, center x, Midas plus and lapua x-act. None of them would group smaller than 2 in. At 50 yards for the matches we shoot that’s unacceptable.
Mine seems to be an accurate copy. But I’ve heard that a lot. This is not a popular rifle for sure. I think we probably all read the same magazine praising this rifle. I got this at a heavy discount so it’s hard for me to not still like it. I had it out last week and it was easily hitting 2” at 50. But like I said I think I got a good one.
I bet I could get it to shoot better than that at 100yds., that said, I don't own one but I did buy a Howa 1100 & got it to shoot at 100yds. very close to my CZ457 American std. barrel in 20", & that CZ is a head-shot on a squirrel every time at 100y according to benchrest accuracy, then I bought a gruesome savage a22-precision semi-auto heavy-steel barrel & now, finally, have it shooting off the bench very close to what my Howa does, although, it has a horrible 2" to 2-1/2" cold-bore/first-shot POI-shift,....after watching "Pursuit of Accuracy" channel's latest, I can't wait to try this "fix on the cheap" method. So back to some things I had to do,....I had to bed, adjust & wash triggers thoroughly, start with extreme-clean bores that I also scoped & recorded, then added Harrell's Precision - "Tactical-Tuners" opened to 7MM & bult my own "SMD", (sound-mitigation-device, (totally legal)), which works aswell as adding muzzle weight with it, & then added 2 muzzle weights behind the "Tactical-Tuner" which are "split-shaft lock collars" clamped on to several rounds of electrical tape around the barrel also acting as harmonic dampeners. I also grease my CCI S.V.-Target ammo, just the slugs with a light film of "K&N" air-filter seal grease, & 10-40 rounds later they started shooting at a difference of night & day,.....my experience anyhow.....whew.....if you feel like dink'n around that much.....lol....btw - my CZ 457 got all the same treatments & it likes RWS ammo, the Howa & savage shoot for the worse as the ammo gets more expensive......lol
I have the a22 with the Boyd's stock I need to get a better scope for it. And see what I can do. I have a video of it with a cheaper scope it's not horrible. But no where near my savage bolt action int the green Boyd's stock

I'd get it from somewhere you could take it back if you get a bad barrel. I have another video in the hopper with it. But I'm waiting to get cleared from youtube on it. Mine needs a little more tweaking, but I like it a lot.
There seems to be a lot of inconsistency with these rifles. Mine shoots 40gr supers far better than anything else. Subs were very sporadic in groups. Surprisingly, I got a 0.65" group using Aguila 40gr HV. At 50 yards of course.

Retay makes shotguns (which seem like decent quality, never owned one though) but I've not known them to make anything with a rifled barrel. They may sell things in other markets that we don't see here, but my bet would be that Retay may have outsourced the barrel from some other supplier. In which case they probably just went with whatever was the best deal to keep the price point low. Mine shoots ok, I'm not upset at it for $370 but it's definitely not something for competition and doesn't compare well to CZ or Tikka. It's shame too, because most of the gun (on mine at least) seems really well made and finished.
I looked one of these guns today... and really liked the way it felt.. lol really want the reviews to be better. Would love for it to be as good as my savage.

Its not a TARGET rifle by no means. I had that rifle and wasnt impressed so i sold it. I built a 10/22 thats a freaking Hammer and so glad i did. MANUFACTURERS now days use the term" Target " very loosely. Its no where near a target rifle . GET A SAVAGE mk2. And that is much better and half the cost .

I have seen several bad reviews on this 2020 rimfire. Its a good looking rifle but if it doesn't do the job then its not worth it. This is a 2 months old video now. Have you been able to get it to shoot the way it should?

Those that are saying this is damn good shooting don't know much about shooting 22lr. A 5 shot group with these results are horrible. Many other rifles shoot better than this and the 2020 rimfire misses the standard. I regret buying one. Stay with CZ guys.

Turkey makes nice furniture for guns but the shotguns they made for Weatherby and this new rimfire are bottom of the barrel level unreliable for hunting and self defense. They aren’t very good boat anchors or paddles either. I don’t keep junk. This rimfire won’t be here long unless attempts to accurize it improve significantly.

I found my rifle preferred subsonics rounds, better grouping. The hot ones opened too much. Try Norma Subs and Águila 38gr

Idk I like this one pretty good. Shot it all winter. I wouldn’t mind having a savage too. Especially since they make it in lefty.

Oh yeah! No complaints except that I wish it was lefty. It's got a couple of quirks for sure. But the one I have is a tack driver.
