    Hi everyone, thanks for leaving your thoughts and feedback. Facing death is never an easy feat, but in some industries, it is also an everyday occurrence, and we wanted to capture that duality. We acknowledge that we could have done better, and will keep your feedback in mind for future topics and projects.

    It's a little careless to ask a bereaved family member if there was regret in the relationship with a deceased member because it assumes that good relations are normal and it triggers unnecessary guilt.

      I’m pretty sure there’s more to the conversation than what has been shown. What you have interpreted might have been taken out of context

    • @FeralFlare
      @FeralFlare 3 ปีที่แล้ว +48

      @@marzucake7463 It does not matter, empathy means you don't ask the bereaved family member even if she mentioned something that alludes to regret. Reporter is just overwhelmed and can't fault her for careless mistake, but there's nothing to be "taken out of context" when it was a straight forward "Do you regret?"

      Yea it's a bit unethical.

      Hey there, thank you for sharing your feedback. For some context, before the interview, I shared with her that she didn't need to answer unless she felt comfortable, and we also cleared the video with her prior to publishing, but I understand where you're coming from and I will take this feedback with me when doing future interviews.

    I don’t think a topic liked should be edited in such a way, no respect shown to the deceased n his family.

    • @LWL-sz5lh
      @LWL-sz5lh 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I think it is okay to edit it like that, just only the part which involves the actual scene is the one I would be concerned about.

    I appreciate the editing effort. But for me personally, the editing is a little bit too much, especially on the sound effects. This channel is still one of my faves tho!

    • @yeeseesee
      @yeeseesee 3 ปีที่แล้ว +42

      Agreed! Thank you for going all out to find trauma cleaners in SG. But I also felt that the editing could have been done abit more tactfully. The whole storyboard of this video could have been more sensitive, i was confused as to whether OGS wanted to be more lighthearted or emotional. One moment its sad and then suddenly there’s unnecessary sound effects when handling the cleaning of the person who passed on? since you guys also watched Move to Heaven. I think there should have been lesser sound effects or the additional words on top of the heads for such a heavy yet real topic. Together with how the interview with the bereaved (although there might be more footages we do not see) could have been done with more sensitivity?

    • @clarencetang3673
      @clarencetang3673 3 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      This video was quite interesting, it's not everyday that you get to see what happens to the houses of those who unfortunately pass away without anyone knowing until it's too late. But I have to agree with this comment. Perhaps not just the editing, but the whole tone of the video too. I personally found the interview with the family member a bit insensitive.

    I have been a fan of OGS but this episode was disappointing as it has to be treated with respect and seriousness. Please wear PPE properly especially your face mask to ensure it is properly sealed for your own safety. Hair is also all over the place. Basic respect has to be shown even when tagging others for work - it shows through your uniform. And it is not right to interview the family member who is grieving at the state of her brother was found in.

    Good content. Respect to the cleaners. Very very few would want to do this job. I'm a little disturbed with the bg music used in the extra footage part. Someone died. Not suitable to make it light hearted. Just my 2 cents.

  • @v4nnyz

    10:11 makes me think a little, especially "we were born alone". The sentiment is something I used to share, until I came across a tumblr post by sangefiruze: ["we were born alone & we die alone” you delivered yourself during birth? built all the roofs that have ever given you shelter? sown the wheat in your bread?? weaved the clothes on your back??? wrote all the books youve ever read and the music youve ever listened to????? who made the literal bed youre going to die in - you, all alone?"]
    Lonely deaths are very heartwrenching, death itself is painful. But I think it might help someone out there to remember that it's *possible* we're surrounded by people who care. Not all of us get to be born with the privilege/luxury of a functional, non-abusive family or to be surrounded by friends but, it's the small mercies where they are I suppose.
    Not an attack on Wen Qi, just my two cents after hearing what she said. I'm hoping maybe someone out there might gain some value from me sharing my thoughts on the matter. Very interesting video, though I'm 11 months late. It's nice to see OGS being honest about the criticisms received, thank you guys for creating the content you do. I really love seeing the perspectives you guys capture in your videos.

    Please find a better host. This was painful to watch from start to end because of how she behaved, the questions she asked etc. Just because you guys edited it and add on sad background music doesn't make things better.
