I’m folding laundry, drinking golden hour coffee, my cat is napping on my clean laundry. And Gabs posted a cool puzzle game? Morning has been made ❤ how’s your week been though gabs!! ✨
@@Calliekodabennycain ahh it’s coffee made by some awesome guy. The name of it is Golden Hour so if you give it a google you’ll know what it’s all about 💛
The animal at 53:40 is called a Japanese Spider Crab. They're known for becoming huge in arctic temperatures. The average main body cavity (called the carapace) reaches 12 inches, while the legs hit lengths of 12 feet. The one shown in this game was most likely depicted from a juvenile example.
I like the attention to details in things like the fuel tanks being chained to the wall. It makes my safety driven metalsmith's heart happy. It's a safety measure in case a nozzle gets knocked off or a weakness in the tank causes it to rupture, plus you don't want them falling over which could damage the tank. Even the smaller 5 gal ones for barbecues should be chained to a wall or heavy object.
Horror hogs/point and clicks are my favorite kind of the genre, they feel much more cozy for some reason, other kinds don't do it for me. Speaking of which, I know I commented this before but if you liked this *please* check you the *Campfire Legends* trilogy, they're old already (2009-2011) but are peak hidden object horrors, they're by far my favorite hogs of all time, even my mom that hates horror and doesn't even bother following the stories of these games because she just wants to find stuff and do puzzles loved them lol It starts with The Hookman (2009) followed by The Babysitter (2010), which is my favorite, and ends with The Last Act (2011).
I'm on Mirtazapine in combination with another antidepressant. It's an atypical tetracyclic antidepressant. It's mainly for depression but also anxiety. It's so interesting seeing it in media.
@okmeowokmeow I'm glad it helps in that way. Wish it did for me. Thankfully, in combination with other medications, I'm finally starting to get relief for my sleep issues
Same! I take it at night with my bedtime pills cuz of it's ability to make ya drowsy. It's wild seeing meds you take mentioned in games where you really wouldn't expect them being brought up.
This game was SO good. It really reminds me of another game set in an Antarctic research facility, but I CANNOT for the life of me remember the name. It was 3D, first-person Point-of-View and you spoke to your research coworkers over a radio (?) I believe there was voice-acting, and most of the game is played sitting at a desk..? And something goes wrong/you get stranded at the facility. I want to say it was part of a group of games? Oh I want to remember this so bad. EDIT: It's a chapter of the Stories Untold group of games that I'm thinking of!
OMG I played this game as a kid!!! I remember playing this game but I don't think I ever finished it. Maybe it was too hard for me back then lol. Loved seeing it all the way through, especially with a host as lovely as Gab. : )
You'd think you would respond to warn everyone not come here, that they shouldn't sent anyone there and at best firebomb the site to kill all the bacteria. But I guess this is one of those games where the world is screwed either way, given that someone else will come and who knows what they'll do.
Yes, normal reaction would be to contact the outside world, tell them about 100% lethal pathogen and ask for some supplies to be dropped periodically, while you research it (have to keep yourself busy somehow, being a scientist). Otherwise, if the whole site simply goes dark for no reason, there _will_ be a rescue team - who will be infected. Devs kinda used inverse logic for these endings.
You raised an interesting point. I wonder how many bodies did we really see there during gameplay. So in total I saw 4 people from the crew. One is yourself, one in the locked room, one in the tent and one in the pool of water. Did I miss any?
If that facility had something THAT dangerous inside, wouldn't contacting the authorities have been the way to go? Like explain the situation and tell them to stay away from your location at all cost?
The text adventure game of the game did give me a good laugh. Makes me want to see just how far it goes. Imagining reaching the computer and being able to start a text adventure game within the text adventure game.
This video inspired me to finally be brave enough to watch The Thing, and it affected me so much I had to come back to say thank you. What a phenomenal film.
I think a more fitting ending to the rejection option, to kind of counter the epic-ness of the accept option, would have been a time lapse of him finding a cure for himself or possibly altering it to actually work for everyone (although, not sure how he would test that... maybe with dna samples from the corpses laying all around?)... Oh... and also, playing the game in the game brought back some memories... Early computer game days.. Although, I don't think they even had those kinds of games quite that early... I want to say like mid 80's at the earliest maybe? But getting just the right 'command' was such a pain in the ass!!!
Also, I love all of the little things in this game from the safety procedures followed, to the old Commodore style computer, the chemical names, a gear and a wiring puzzle...plus all of the different music is beautiful. Okay, older millennials and older, who played, "The Island of Dr Brain," or any of the Dr Brain series games as a kid? I absolutely LOVED them. Gear ratios, robot programming, figuring out the right counterbalance weight for an elevator, genetics, electrical diagram puzzles, chemical composition, all the way to art and music puzzles. There was so much going on and they were so enjoyable and replayable. This reminds me so much of that. ❤

really impressed with Gab after playing this game by myself first. Her mind is on multiple alerts for things that seem to be totally irrelevant but actually related. Also she always tries things out because even when it doesn't solve the problem, the tiny tiny standalone behavior of that single thing can give you a little more clue, compared to me when I simply abandon the thing and decide to come back later when I have more info every time I run into something vague.

Hey Gab do you know if you or Jack have any plans to do a playthrough of Lies of P ? I figured he would definitely play it considering how much he loves blood-borne. Any interesting steampunk Pinocchio aesthetic seems like something you would enjoy
The setting and opening rooms remind me so much of Penumbra Overture and Penumbra Requiem. Second time I’ve watched this and it’s definitely one of my favorites now
this game kept me on edge. especially with the letters and notes. Mans took a whole serum without knowing what it did, then was like *gasp* when everyone died. That's kinda relatable honestly. I am this stupid 😂😂
I had to pause for a minute after the letter about the insomnia medication to double-check because Mirtazapine is a common antidepressant. Mirtazepine is not a thing. I wonder why they picked that name! 😂

Real nice walkthrough. I have seen it last week, but I lost my account. I am not young as some people may have thought. I am glad to be back with my friend Goobers.

Highkey love that Gab knows/has played 999
I loved playing this as a kid and I was happily surprised when I saw you played it in my notifications
Nothing better than waking up to a new game from gab
I kept thinking about The Thing. This game had very similar vibes.
Hey Gab do you know if you or Jack have any plans to do a playthrough of Lies of P ? I figured he would definitely play it considering how much he loves blood-borne. Any interesting steampunk Pinocchio aesthetic seems like something you would enjoy
The Thing is one of my favorite movies of all time. I have a poster framed in my house! 🥰
when ever Gab posts today is gonna be a good day
I'm not a huge cinephile, but I have often said The Thing is my favorite horror film and thus I am jealous of your fun artifact.
My cat doesn’t usually react to sounds from the TV, but the squeaking valves around 1:35:30 got his attention lol
The setting and opening rooms remind me so much of Penumbra Overture and Penumbra Requiem. Second time I’ve watched this and it’s definitely one of my favorites now
Been thinking about playing penumbra!!
@@GabSmoldersthey’re fairly old by now, but made by the same devs that did SOMA and Amnesia, so definitely worth a look
this game kept me on edge. especially with the letters and notes.
Liquid Nitrogen. "I was just here for onions." LOL….
Cant believe Ive been watching you for about 4+Yrs now! First vids for me were the Man of Medan's many play throughs (since Until Dawn was my favorite game) Then when you started 🔍NancyDrew🔎&I was hooked since they were my favorite when I was younger..
Thanks so much Gab for the best spooky👻 & cool content 🥰 Stay Amazing🤗
Real nice walkthrough. I have seen it last week, but I lost my account. I am not young as some people may have thought. I am glad to be back with my friend Goobers.
me too it remind me "ZERO escape" series
55:12 future recruiter for revolution against skynet
I remember playing this game on my phone like 6/7 years ago. Really underrated.
Yo!
10:55 - 11:05 ---> 999 is a really good game, if people like psychological aspects and solving puzzles!
> Also, they ported/remade 999 available on to play on PC! (I just don't remember how and where to do so...)
Thanks to you gab I have learned to enjoy these click and point games way more. Another hog enjoyer converted haha! ❤
The thing at 53:30 is an antarctic sea spider, they get gigantism in the cold water.
Woke up from my sunday nap at the perfect time it seems. Heck yeah lets gooooo ❤🎉
Settling in to watch this as I recover from a hangover
Those lock puzzles were crazy.
As soon as i saw onion im thinking you need to convert the letters to numbers and im like sitting here while you look for onions hoping im wrong😂
