I saw Charlie open for Turnpike Troubadours years ago. We were all blown away by his music and the way he worked the stage. I stepped out for a smoke after his set and he walked out right in front of the joint and I had probably a 5 minute conversation with him. I saw him again about a year ago at the same venue, I was walking to the show and saw him. Had a conversation with him again. Point is, dude is the exact same modest guy that doesn’t hesitate to stop what he’s doing to chat with a fan. He’s the real deal. 👍
He's a very intelligent, articulate person. I enjoy his music immensely and enjoy his conversation equally. I wish this gentleman the utmost of success, or whatever and wherever his heart leads him.
Hearing you- as a former “ranch hand” for years, + used to live in NOLA, his incredible talent 100% LANDS ♥️🫶🏽🐴🎵 Hv tix to see him in same Ballroom (Mission), 1/19/24. I. Am. Excited. ✅
Nick Forster thank you for that great interview. I had tears in my eyes from that open hearted conversation and the life lessons being shared. You have a very warm and inviting approach and Charley of course is a gift of a person to have. You made the most of it. Thank you.
I was at this show at Mission Ballroom, the place was absolutely packed. It’s always a catch 22 with artist I really like getting “too famous” but Charley most definitely deserves everything great that’s going for him. He is the realest of the real and I feel relieved that we have artist like him currently. From one Texas boy to another.. keep on doing your thang Charley Crockett!
Great interview great questions. Just discovered Charley this morning. Great talent, deep voice, this guys gonna be a star. Already is. Best of luck in your career and life man. You gained a new fan
Just went to a show in Toronto after a few years of listening to his music and consuming any and all charley content and let me just say it was truly more than I could have hoped for..he did a 6 song encore after nearly a 2 hour show..he puts it all out there and I hope to see him again soon
This interview is great. Two respected people who have both worked hard to be where they are, and it is so nice to hear them just chatting about music and their beginnings in it. Charley Crockett's voice is amazing in music and to just listen to talk.
Great interview by Nick. Good questions and follow ups. Then just let Charley talk. Such an interesting story he has. I just saw Charley in August and can't wait to see him again. Nick, I only discovered Hot Rize about 30 years ago. I'm still waiting to see you! Ok, what I REALLY want to see are those other guys. Are you ever going to get them their own bus? Red feels it's beyond time! Great folks, great music all around. Plus, Charley Crockett. What a day so far.
This and the Texas monthly interview are excellent! Thanks. I will add that the gritty back story of Charley is what adds to creating a solid performing career. We need more trial by fire artists in the world. Let the hard road be the runway to success. Hard knocks make great songs, Thanks Charley for surviving and putting your music out there to be available to all who need it.🎶
Thanks for this great interview! I have read about Charlie Crockett this morning in a newspaper because he will,be performing at a festival in Quebec City and what a wonderful musician and human being ! 🌺🌸
Heres one for you Charley Crockett: Elvis said a few things in his lifetime that I like "theres only one King, and I aint hime" & "as singers the music comes through us, not from us, we just happen to have the best seat in the house".
I was at this show, and someone in the front row drank so much they passed out so Charley had to stop the show. The dude got hauled off in a wheel chair lol

My favorite country artist so authentic and so REAL ❤⚡️❤️👊👊👊👊🍀
Charley Crockett is by far the hardest working person in any genre of music. He has truly worked his way to the top & it is well deserved!
I was at that Willie Nelson Central Park concert. Magical.

I always thought Cash’s story on how he gained his place in music but oh my, Charley’s story is truly incredible!
Great interview, on both sides.
My wife and I met Charley this past weekend... one of the most humble humans I've ever met.
Love this guy. Put on a great show a few years back in Chico, CA. I was so happy to have him come through town.
This interview needs to be heard, the algorithm is failing a lot of good folks

“To a poor boy you gotta keep movin or you’ll get left behind.” This guy just talks lyrics and doesn’t even realize it.

I'm ABD, due to Katrina.
Why do I get a black vibe from him very seasoned man.
It’s probably from the cultural diversity.
You’ll understand if you research his background.
@@chane3326 ok i get it.
Cause he’s a quadroon 😂
Charlie doesn't want anyone to know he's woke
What makes him woke? Never got those vibes.
What makes you say that?
