The lady was a good representative. She clearly didn't think it was 'right', but was willing to admit that she just didn't know the law. So many just assume and run with it, so this humility is a nice change.
She was vile passive-aggressive and condescending.She was talking as if she was talking to a class of six year olds

correct, two world wars happened because of no hi-viz at the time. My first job, i remember the bodies was piled up in the factory compound because of all the continued work place accidents before hi-viz.

@@scruffyalice-ff5pz in fairness, both world wars may have finished a lot sooner if everybody was wearing hi-viz vests and therefore presenting easier targets. Although maybe hi-viz acts like armour as some people seem to think it does.

The young woman who came out to you and invited to into the office was wonderful. You can understand why they might find it strange but her manner was always warm, polite and professional. She was a bit annoyed but it didn't spill over into her being rude, aggressive or un-reasonable. Well done to her. And, I have to say I really liked the security guard. He was initially a bit pissed off with you but once he realised that there had been a miss-communication he was amazing. The kind of chap that you would enjoy talking to you, well done young man.
As for the guy from the plant who called you an oddball, well he wasn't too far off the mark now was he ? Joking.... I think you can understand why he said that, in general he was friendly and more confused and curious as to what you were doing than anything. I do however find it funny, when all of these heads pop out when they hear that there is someone outside filming to tell the cameraman that they don't want to be filmed. Bless......

They just don't get it. They are stuck in their own policies, and have no clue members of the public do not have to follow their policies.
Im a bus driver and some of the buses they produce need to be so much better, Alexander Dennis buses need to be a lot more reliable as they seem to break down too much, its nice to see some of the new buses here, that should be getting in the coming years lol
I like how Alexander Dennis double deckers in Berlin have 3 doors and 2 staircases so passengers can get on and off a lot quicker, which in turn speeds up the journey. You don't get queues of people trying to buy tickets from the driver because most people have a monthly ticket for bus and rail. I wish more British cities would switch to that model.

9/10 for this company. Ive seen so much terrible reactions that this one is actually pretty good. Only thing they could've done better is explain a bit more about the company and offer you a cup of tea 😂 i dont even blame the guy for acting up.
Alexander Dennis do seem to make the most popular double decker buses in the world. You see them in Hong Kong, Singapore, Berlin and Canada. They also make buses with 3 doors and 2 staircases, which is a more popular layout in most countries because it makes loading passengers a lot quicker, shortening dwell times at stops, which in turn speeds up the journey.

I remember as a kid seeing those types of chassis being driven on the motorway with the driver dressed in motorbike gear.Try doing that now
I've seen footage from 2021+ of people doing that in India, Pakistan etc. but with heavily damaged buses...just sat on a crate surrounded by absolutely destroyed coachwork...you wonder 🤔 if people EVER survive any of the crashes !? 😳
