- In this episode, I have an idea for a curved station for the driver controls. I want it to be cantilevered to look suspended in space. Also we have to chop up some scraps to prep the track for crash walls. Let's break out the clamps!

Thank you for sharing. Very nice craftsmanship and attention to detail.👍
Thanks! It's great fun. I finished editing together Part 8 and I'm going to end the series there I think once the track gets a first lap.
Very nice. Love the design on control panel.
Thanks, Jim! Looking forward to seeing more of your layout videos.
I am really enjoying the progression of your raceway. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I'm way overdue to upload another HO video. Coming soon!
Second thumbs up
👍👍. Nice work as always! MDF is so nice to work with but wow the dust!
Looking good!!! Thanks again
Thanks, Scott. Blessings, man!
Hi Stan, your obviously a woodworker by trade or its just another one of your hobbies. Woodworking is one of my hobbies as well and I found it great to be able to combine both woodworking and slot cars. Now if I only had room for a wooden layout
Plastic track works well as long as you don't have the really deep guide flags. I've had two layouts before that used Carrera track (not digital). I added a couple extra power taps around the circuit to even out the voltage.
Your skills are amazing I love slot cars but I am not skilled like you
Hi Chris! My dad was a carpenter, so I grew up with sawdust, but I am not a pro carpenter. You can build more than you think. Start with a small project and simple tools, and you'll be on the learning curve which never ends. I still make 'rookie' mistakes and learn lessons on every project. Just take your time, and enjoy the process! I started with a 2' x 4' piece of mdf and routed a 1/8" test groove oval, slapped on some paint, and put down 1/4" 1mm copper tape, and it worked! That gave me the courage to try a larger multi-lane track. But also, there's some great plastic track out there as well. I had a nice Carrera 4-lane track for a number of years.
Let me be the first to give you a thumbs up.
Thank you, Simon!
