That’s funny!
So probly to save a few $$ in materials and shipping they created a nuisance. Such a logical thing that we would clamp on the sides.

I see you also replaced the handle knobs with pegs..good mod. Mine have popped off many times.

Yes, those would fall off and the handle would slide out and hit the ground! 🤣
