2023 Toyota Yaris ATIV / Vios / Yaris Sedan Walkaround Review (English Review)

- Hello everyone~ Thanks for tuning in! This is my first car review. It might not be perfect. Plus, it was filmed within very limited time (less than 30 minutes) so I would like to apologise if there's some errors.

All new Toyota Yaris ATIV debuted in 9 August 2022. It features Many Interesting equipment such as Toyota Safety Sense, Adaptive Cruise Control withl Stop and Go Function, Electronic parking Brake, Soft Touch dash board, Ambient Lighting and Etc.
2023 Toyota Yaris is based on DNGA Platform which was developed by Toyota and Daihatsu. DNGA Platform could be considered as a close relative of TNGA Platform of Toyota. That's why the driving dynamics of all new Yaris has a lot of cues from other new Toyotas such as Corolla, Camry and CHR
In order to comply with Thai "ECO Car Scheme", it only comes with 1 engine choice which is 1.2 litre petrol (2NR-VE) which produce only 94 horsepower. (PS) According to reliable automotive news source, the hybrid engine will be available next year.
Yaris 1.2 did 0 - 100 in 14 seconds which is a lot slower than its Turbocharged Competitors such as Honda CITY and Nissan Almera but I would say that the Suspension setting of all new Yaris was definitely better than Honda CITY. Yaris feels heavier and firmer while Honda CITY is soft and jittery.
Rumors has it that The hatchback version will not be based on this DNGA Platform. Instead, It will be based on old platform used in the outgoing model.

that is a gorgeous looking economy car! great for first time car buyers and those who are looking to buy a second car. i prefer crossovers and mid sive SUVs but i might just take a crack at this one.

It's gonna be with the name Vios for us - the Vietnamese market, while the Corolla Altis is the bigger one that we already have

I can see the same as perodua alza/toyota veloz and p.ativa/t.raize interior and features. Sure I can predict how its drive.
The body is the size of a Veloz but uses the same engine as in the citycar
The headlights reminiscent of the corolla altis but it failed epically.
why toyota do not want to use turbocharged 1.0 instead just like toyota raize in japan?,cost factor?
Yes needs the honda City engine and Mazda 6 sp trans..
Regular aspirated engine lasts longer than turbocharged engines. Plus, regular aspirated ones has lower maintenance costs.
It's looks like the Honda City especially at the back . But better overall design.
I was considering the Honda City but you can only get a turbo engine. That's not going to last as long as a regular aspirated engine and has higher maintenance costs. As you say, looks are similar so why not choose the brand that's going to last longer.
BTW, the Honda City is EXTREMELY popular where I live, but I think that popularity has dropped way off since they started putting turbos in. Don't see many Citys with red plates (new) mostly 4-5 year old models.
That front was an Evo. Back then they say Evo design are outdated. 🤔
Thanks for your review! Everything looks quite decent until the part you mentioned about headroom.. I'm 179, so I think I'm going to have the same complaint as you in that matter 😅
If you look at the video again, he was in the backseat. How many times do you ride in the backseat of your own car? I'm 193 and I had plenty of room in the front seat for both legs and headroom. You can recline the front seats back slightly, which you can't do in the back. In fact, it had a little more legroom than my 2008 Honda CRV.

I am still driving 2007 model Toyota yaris sedan compared to this one there's a huge difference on improvement.
even in my 2021 yaris y plus. i feel behind but still i love my car.

Weird how I didn't see any poor people at the Toyota dealership when I went to buy one. BTW, it costs 17,483.96 USD and I am paying cash. Am I poor in your country, Abdul? 😅
"Poor people" is a stretch. If you want a cost friendly camry then consider buying a corolla, want a more budget friendly car? Get this. But by no means it is for poor people.
