@@KuntalGhoshor you can also reason that the exorbitant tax makes it unaffordable for many Indian families and therefore most don’t own one. Also among the aspirational group they will still buy one as it a necessity too, paying more and eating away at their disposable income. Funding the infrastructure is not an acceptable argument because better option of transportation equals to better economic access which leads to growth. It’s just depends on how you look at it.
Indian public shat on it years ago...most safest car in the segment. Toyota should punish indian public by not releasing this car. We dont deserve quality...we deserve garbage 😂

@@bonjovi1354ya when I was in usa I saw that people who love driving go for vw, skoda, Honda, Toyota, mazda and people who doesn't have much budget but only want a car to go from point a to point b buy Hyundai, Kia. In India we don't have driving enthusiasts.

Toyota is happy with Suzuki car rebranding and technology sharing. Innova and Fortuner are enough for them for surviving for couple of more years in india.
First tell your Indian brands to invest in r and d . No Indian car brand has a good quality petrol engine. Tata even doesn't have it's own engine. It depends on fiat engines which itself is not much reliable.

Ideally it should sit on lower price bracket than the competitors, But Toyota is known for charging more and it will be a set back as its sedan and people are already moving towards compact SUV and mid size SUV, Further, lower power and smaller dimensions is no where close to competition. From back it reminds of new gen City and front for 4th gen city head light. Hope in India, they bring better add-on.

Yeah naa aayegii India mein in present scenario. Waisey bhi Sedans kaa market nahin reh raha zyaada. Compact SUV apni laayein Nexon type toh kuch ho bhi sakta warna lagta hi nahin ki below 15 Lacs mein apni koi car launch karengey yeah ab. Only rebadged cars of Suzuki hi milni hai. Yaris pehley hi band ho gayee thi. Ab toh koi sense nahin banta ki launch karein bhi in next few years India mein. Ab Rumion aur Taisor etc hi dengey. Baaki rebadged Ciaz bhi nahin dengey kyonki inko maloom hai ki ab uski sales zyaada hai hi nahin.

Sadly India will see no new toyotas own products except fortuner hilux in India. Toyota is done with the Indian market. Even the crysta innova is only available in manual as toyota wants to promote more of Maruti collaborated cars. As of today buying a toyota is similar to buying a maruti.
