WLToys missed the mark with this imo. They had the opportunity to address several drawbacks of the 104001 that they knew about. The loose tie rod ends (you can see them falling off in your slow-mos), the fragile front CVD, the boat anchor of a spur that shatters diff pinions, the chassis flex at the front. Then they make it worse by giving it an underpowered esc for the motor kv and introducing throttle delay :(
Agreed , it's not worth it especially at that price.

i bought the car; it came in today; its fast but I think it looks slow because of the weight and size of the buggy; this thing is HEAVY so no wheelie popping happening not even on 3s but it could be faster considering how fast its younger bro the WLToys 124017 is for its size

45A esc sounds a bit weak for a 3650 at 4500KV , i'm pretty sure it won't handle 3S. It's better to get the brushed one and upgrade yourself with something like 3650 ~3500kv and 60-100A esc and have a 2S and 3S with much better components
Sure wish they’d get rid of the new radio. 100% of folks seem to be experiencing delay with it. No delay with previous radios.

Well you didn't grease your diffs, your pinion spur is to tight. The esc needs tuning, suspension needs tuning. 104001 tuned with brushless upgrade will hit 50+, I have faith in the car. My friend and I want to approach Wltoys and make pro versions 104 and 124019 high speed runners.

This car is trash.... 124017 V2 absolutely destroys this hunk of garbage.
Even with the billions of people living in China there are still places like this with nobody around here in the states you will never find a place like that
It’s usually packed on weekends. I deliberately went there on a week day in the morning to avoid any crowds …

Why would anyone buy this when you can purchase the 124017 V2 for cheaper.... the 17V2 is an absolute monster compared to this garbage.
