I agree with you about the hype but I believe that sales has reduced because the companies haven't fully taken off and of course overinflation has slowed things down globally. However after the elections, the moneybags have decided to keep their money out of Lagos.

Exchange Rate! Most investors are Nigerians in diaspora..so no one wants to put in when the rates is still unstable
Based on the naira floating, for the next 4years, it's likely the rates won't be stable
